A great arcade platformer, which is still a rarity on PC, excellent atmosphere, low frustration level, humor, and did I mention the game has reasonable price tag of $19.99...
-
At turns dark, sarcastic and ethereal, Rayman 3 seems a bit more mature now than in previous versions. But these changes are incorporated so well that there's still a tremendous continuity with the rest of the series.
-
It does further refine the formula, is completely worthy of the Rayman name, and is easily one of the most satisfying platforming experiences to come to the PC in a good while.
-
A game that is entertaining and frustrating because the environmental rules change within the same maps. You can walk to the edge on one bridge, but do it on another and youll fall off.
-
Several of the new design decisions - such as having the characters speak a human language, adding weapons power-ups, making combat more central, and including a large bunch of mini-games - appear to dilute rather than improve the play experience.

Computer Games MagazineIt's a visually sumptuous treat, with incredibly graphic design and tons of interesting details tucked into every corner. [July 2003, p.73]

Computer Gaming WorldIf only the camera system were half as responsive as the bad guys are. [July 2003, p.89]
-
PC GamerThe entire game is just one big jumping puzzle... Right from the get-go, Rayman 3's puzzles are irritatingly difficult. [May 2003, p.78]
