Raji was an interesting game. The story explain Hindu deities and such. The visual are really nice, especially the quality of the level designs. The music is enjoyable and some of the best in my opinion. The fighting is not that precise and rely a bit too much on pirouettes. There is a lack of balance between enemies. Raji is a great story rich, linear adventure game. The story is Hindu mythology, and the game play is God of War-like. I thoroughly enjoyed this debut entry from Nodding Heads Games.

Whilst the gameplay was not groundbreaking and on occasion could be repetitive this was saved by the fantastic presentation and interesting and unique setting. I can't think of a single other game that has explored this rich mythology. The gameplay is a reminiscent of old school Prince of Persia, but with a Diablo style

The gameplay is a reminiscent of old school Prince of Persia, but with a Diablo style combat. The combat and platforming is a little clunky but still enjoyable.

Visually I thought the game was stunning, the environments where excellent and the enemies pulled from the Mythology were interesting. I also thought that the "Cut Scene" storytelling through the shadow puppet displays was also really interesting.

Look forward to what this team produce next.

Quite impressive. The game itself is not particularly - special. But game mechanics fit together well. The combat feels fluid, both just by itself and also by including the environment.
The story "feels" kind of original with beautiful cutscenes and very warm and artistic colouring. I have yet to play much further .. but from what i have seen, it is a beautifully made game.

What i do not like very much .. is the controls .. that feel like they are (of course) made for controller .. with keyboard and mouse only being a negligent afterthought if any. My problem is that i do not play with controller - so my gameplay experience is limited in that respect (meaning, i fall back to the rather simple combat mechanics rather than making a spectacle of out of it - something this game allows with all the mechanics)

Still, highly recommended if you want a well balanced story, protagonist and game mechanic.

Generally speaking I like the effort. For me to really enjoy it it would have needed to have some exploration/non-linearity and better combat (I really don't like the pc controls). I don't get why people complain about the graphics, they are pretty good for an indie game.

I got this game after reading the reviews, but now I feel like most of them are paid reviews. The gameplay could have been better. Also, clunky controls and combat had really put me off.

    Poor story.
    Poor controls.
    Poor graphics.
Overall it's a below average game.

Ps. Maybe it's a sucess in india due to religious reasons. But definitely not to the rest of the world.

View the game within its context, and it's an excellent title. If for no other reason than to spit in the face of VICE.

YOU MUST PLAY IT! Make no doubt of that.
This is an immersive game where everything is perfect, graphics, art, narrative. You can enjoy it not only as a game. This is something completely new among games, I have not seen this before. You just have to try this.
btw this mythology is really something new for me. Thanks for this!!

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons, 6.5/10

There are plenty of movement features in this game that brings it in line with modern action-adventure games, and the variety of attacks gives you the opportunity to fight however you wish. The game is linear, but the world and environment is a picturesque sight to see. Fights can get a bit repetitive, but that's just how it is. Game performance is fair, although the prerendered CGI cutscenes were strangely more GPU-intensive than the game itself.

Overall, for an indie, I found the experience quite enjoyable. Lots of work was put into fleshing out the mythology and educating the player about it in an intriguing and not forceful manner. It was definitely a unique experience to learn about it, and I think it blended quite well with the story and gameplay. The game was short (under four hours), but it felt like it lasted twice that time (in a good way).

(On a side note, I've read some reviews about the controls being clunky. I personally did not experience any issues whatsoever playing the game with a controller, so if it bothers you, try playing the game that way instead.)

The game gives off the Prince of Persia vibes with its wall run & combo mechanics. It is certainly a unique game, especially its art and storytelling with puppet like animation in cutscenes but the combat is quite dull. The story revolves around a girl on a quest to save her brother and two Gods narrating the story. Gameplay got repetitive and boring quite fast. Overall I would say, good art, good voice acting of Durga but not of Vishnu, mediocre gameplay

GREAT story and overall settings. Graphics and cut scenes are also innovative. The gameplay leaves you wanting though. In this age of advanced combat games with complex controls and extremely satisfying combat and navigation, Rahi falls short on the immersion side of gameplay due to this. Surely being a small and short game that it is, helps in this BIG TIME. Would recommend to atleastGREAT story and overall settings. Graphics and cut scenes are also innovative. Raji is set in a rarely explored (and therefore refreshing) setting of Hindu mythology that definitely works in its favor, and offers gameplay mechanics resembling a Prince of Persia game on a budget. The protagonist is as agile as Price and the game is generally enjoyable, but the platforming sections are too easy to pose a challenge, and the combat is not meaty enough to be satisfying. Raji: An Ancient Epic can offer you some scenic locations, plenty of platforming, and a rather boring combat system. The main selling point here is not Raji herself, but the godlike beings, telling the tales of the Indian mythology, heavily intertwined with with the game's overall storyline.
