    garbage game with a one minute ending, extremely slow and tedious, you die and you get to slowly do it all over again

    This game could have been incredible. The art and style are top notch, the game itself is horrible. I was really excited for this game, but it's such a huge disappointment.

    Rain World is similar to Hollow Knight in many ways. Both games share a similar dark tone and demanding    Rain World is an immersive and challenging platformer game with a unique survival-based gameplay experience. The game's dark themes and stunning pixel art create a captivating atmosphere, but the main storyline is exceptionally punishing, making it frustrating for some players.

    Rain World is similar to Hollow Knight in many ways. Both games share a similar dark tone and demanding platforming gameplay.

    However, Hollow Knight's story is more straightforward to follow, while Rain World's plot is complex and requires additional effort to uncover. This is because it is locked behind a series of challenging side quests, making it challenging to access for some players. Additionally, Rain World prioritizes survival mechanics and evasion, while Hollow Knight has a more traditional combat system.

    Overall, Rain World is one of my favourite games, though its punishing difficulty and inaccessible story may not appeal to all players. Hollow Knight may be a better option for those seeking a more accessible narrative and a more conventional combat system.    … Expand

    It frustrated me, it treated me unfairly, but after I got the hang of the rules I simply couldn’t tear myself away from it and kept chasing momentary triumphs among incessant nervous breakdowns. [06/2017, p.60]

    An impressive bestiary of rogue DNA horrors, a charismatic hero and a huge world to explore. This is enough to forgive Rain World for a few weird design choices and at times wonky jumping mechanics.
