Oct 11, 2011Dear lord in heaven and earth, bethesda softworks has utterly rushed the port to PC and more the half the time you'll be facing with constant texture pop-ins, frame drops and crashes. My friend let me borrow this game because he wanted me to feel the torture of playing this game.
In all honestly I rented this game for my xbox and trust me, BUT THIS GAME FOR THE CONSOLE NEVER FOR THE PC. -

Oct 7, 2011ID and Bethesda just spit in the face of PC enthusiasts by releasing Rage in it's initial state. Even after the more seemingly able community created various "workarounds" and "fixes" Rage is still riddled with a limited console based menu, lagging input, low frame rates (even on higher end PCs), texture popping, and various other visual bugs.
Shame on ID. -

Oct 5, 2011If id wanted to exit the PC games business they should have just not made a PC version. There's no need to be all passive aggressive about it. They're on deathwatch with the PC community as of today. This release is just completely unprofessional.
And congratulations on getting an Indian outsourcing company to fake some user reviews. Go domestic next time so it's less obvious. -

Oct 8, 2011As an OPEN WORLD game it fails, because its not OPEN. dont let the critics fool you. There are no dialogs, texture glitches everywhere, bad graphical config (no options), and a **** of graphical bugs. (screen tearing , no vsync enabling, etc)
This game is bad, its a bad port and a bad game. Nice graphics (bad texture bugs) , nice music , nice ambient, but hideous gameplay. -

Oct 9, 2011Technically awesome (if you know how to tweak some config file) but that's all. Weapons are boring, driving is boring, mission are boring. The game is boring, and short.
-
Oct 9, 2011Extremely buggy, even with latest tuned drivers. This game was so overhyped, yet turned out to be a borderlands clone, but less enjoyable. Half my time was spent trying to get the game to run. Sorry Id, I won't be wasting another gaming dollar on your consolized ports.

Oct 10, 2011OMG what an unbelievably dull game. Lifeless characters, repetitive, boring quests, and a stupid, unfinished story. The writers probably fell asleep somewhere in the middle of the story. But I guess I should've known that id is not capable of that. And guess what, even the weapons and the fighting are kinda dull. Very dissapointing...

Nov 8, 2011Baddest optimisation ever. I didnt got it to work on my i7 930, Corsair C4 2x2GB, HIS Radeon HD6950.
I was trying update drivers, change config files, use patches. No way for start campaign.
Carmack fully change my minds about ID Software. This fail means more then Doom 3 previously. -

PC Games (Russia)Nov 23, 2011A pretty, fast and aggressive shooter, striving in vain to be something more. [December 2011, p.62]
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Nov 15, 2011Far from perfect Rage somehow is has fun post-apocalyptic action where the principles are set –fortunately – bit different than in other games of FPS genre. [Nov 2011]

CD-ActionNov 9, 2011It seems id Software is still living in its golden days and failed to notice that times have changed since Doom and Quake. Rage is just a decent, linear, old school shooter combined awkwardly with an arcade racing game. The world is only 'kinda openish' and the story must have been written by the coders while they were compiling the alpha version. The game looks great though – if you're lucky enough to have the it run smoothly and without technical issues that haunt the PC version. [November 2011, p.46]
