RACE On

RACE On looks dated, but the quality beneath the hood can’t remain hidden for long. For a budget price you’re getting probably the most realistic racing game on pc at the moment. It may not suit the big audiences, but race fans that haven’t gotten any of these titles, will indulge themselves in the many options this game offers.

It's not bad value if you're new to Race 07, but is perhaps a raw deal for those who own the base game. [Christmas 2009, p.106]

Hardened racing fans need Race On, though there's little to tempt part-timers. [Issue #27, p.57]

Simbin continues making money with almost 3 years old game engine, and it shows in everything. Graphics and physics are really old fashioned. Standards are set in much higher nowadays. Race On doesn't move sim fans, and looks too ugly to "race" with Forza Motorsport 3. Race On is not worth buying for full price. [Jan 2010]

If you consider yourself "fairly interested" in racing and motorsport, you are probably better of with NFS:SHIFT or Race Driver: GRiD. But if you are a direct-injected, turbo-aspirated pedal-to-the-metal-Petrolhead, this might just be the perfect Racing-Sim for you... that is, if you don't already own GTR Evolution, which offers more content whilst not falling short in any other term.

It's a solid game if you're new to Race 07, but is perhaps a simple deal if you own the base game.
