Quantum Break is a great game from start to finish, and playing it with all the benefits of being on PC just make it that much better. Given that this game is coming out at a lower price point on PC as well, there's just not excuse not to get it.

Yet another well done Remedy shooter, but I rather play the game than watch looong videos, even though they are pretty well done. [Oct 2016]

Quantum Break is an action experience with great presentation, but on PC it doesn't look as spectacular as on Xbox One.

Quantum Break arrives to PC completely unaltered, with all its lights and shadows, but offers an improved visual experience by exploiting the highest hardware configurations and an enhanced control system thanks to the inclusion of the mouse.

Quantum Break is a solid action game, with a compelling story and awesome gunfights. What a pity the PC version is nothing more than a lazy port.

An average shooter tied to a compelling, confident story, but the TV show is ultimately an expensive, if entertaining, gimmick.

Quantum Break delivers a naïve but well-meaning sci-fi yarn aimed at the adolescent crowd, coupled with solid, even if ultimately unimpressive shooting mechanics and action set-pieces. Atrocious PC port aside, Quantum Break, if thoroughly patched and developed post launch, can find it’s niche as a sci-fi guilty pleasure, but it does not live up to Remedy’s lofty heritage.

Quantum Break, in enlarging their length and complexity, turns them into a crutch that’s forced to support a game that can’t consistently match their appeal.

Quantum Break unfortunately remained somewhere halfway. The series is hollow and gameplay parts are rare. However, the game mechanics are so amusing that it can entertain you for a whole afternoon. [Issue#263]

This is the most frustrated I’ve been with a shoddy port in years. There have been other high-profile trainwrecks in the recent past, like Batman: Arkham Knight and Assassin’s Creed: Unity. But I didn’t LIKE those games, aside from their obvious PC woes...I love Quantum Break.

A solid cover shooter with nice visuals and a fascinating story that gets dragged down by one of the laziest, most broken PC ports of all time. Wait till patched or play on Xbox One.

Just like Quantum Break’s villain, Remedy fell victim to its lofty ambitions.

Quantum Break is a great game on Xbone, but shoddy PC optimisation and the issues associated with the Win 10 store fundamentally break the game. [Issue#251, p.55]

The PC version of Quantum Break suffers of several critical issues. The UWP needs a big number of fixes in order to compete with Steam, Gog and other gaming platforms. The lack of fluidity and big resolution problems are enough to prefer the Xbox One version of Quantum Break.

  1. Ambition wasn’t thwarted by technology, but just a lack of common sense. I find myself still wanting to recommend you play it, not least because the action is mostly fine, if very repetitive, and therefore there’s nothing that’s actively unpleasant about playing it – you can experience the wonders it has to offer, just for the price of grinding through the okay-ness of it all.

I was skeptical, because Microsoft flopped hard with PC launch.

But: once I bought it and finished, I'd realised that the game is 10/10

But: once I bought it and finished, I'd realised that the game is 10/10 material.

Best gunplay in videogames since Max Payne 2 and F.E.A.R.

Awesome story with really good-written and portrayed characters

    Stunning visuals.

Even the godawful Win Store and XBox app can't spoil this.

    Bravo, Remedy

Arkham knight ? That game is a masterpiece comparing to this

Stuttering - 720p upscale on 1080p- running the game at less than 20 fps in many places even using low - medium settings . I just buy it to prove the reality about UWP . Yes : microsoft need to quick UWP and let win32 api the way it's . Don't ever buy anything from the store . If you support pc gaming boycoot this thing. I don't have words really . FRAUD AT IT BEST DEFINITION

I'm reaching 45fps tops with stutters. And yes the dynamic resolution upscaled from 720, just like the potatobox one is here along with the motionblur and no option to turn it off.
In fact a whole lot of standard pc options are gone and the whole UWP system prevents the community or yourself to remedy (no pun intended) alot of it's faults.
If Microsoft is serious about getting back into pc gaming, they need to get their act together. This is an unacceptable pc port.
As for the game itself it is mediocre at best. You spend about a third of the time doing the standard console actiongame slow walk looking at things and talking, a third watching live action cutscenes and a third using some powers and shooting the same 5 or so different enemies the entire game. The Powers you have are cool but are pretty similar to eachother and the action turns bland pretty fast. You do have some choices to make but none of them matter in the end. Add to that the bland and boring gameplay, a replay is out of the question.
If you really want to see the cutscenes from the other choice you are better off watching it on youtube than playing through this game again.
The story is not bad but it's pretty "meh".
As for any good words about this game all I can say is the game does have some nice lighting and it looks pretty good despite an upscaled 720p (although not as good as it could), also the acting is top notch.
It's definately not a buy imo at full price.
