    You don't need to be a fan of modern art to appreciate Proun, but don't be surprised if it turns you into one.

    Scores feel entirely inadequate when it comes to rating a project like this, but if you feel like rewarding one man's six-year-long quest for creativity this week, Joost van Dongen's work truly deserves it.

    Proun is gorgeous, with an aesthetic drawn from 20th-century modern art. It's a delight to listen to, with an upbeat, jazzy soundtrack perfectly matching its graphics. But the overall game is a bit lacking.

    Proun amply proves that abstract art and high speeds oddly go well together. My utter disappointment at the limited number of tracks is tempered by the game's high quality and generous price tag.
