    In the end, Project Wingman is a fun arcade plane romp. It’s definitely not meant for people who love DCS and the “my plane just turned into the world’s angriest glider because my fuel tank got a glancing hit 5 minutes ago” gameplay that it offers. However, it’s perfect to scratch that Ace Combat/Hawx itch that most companies don’t even dare approach. It’s a shame about that ending, though.

    If you love arcade flight sim like ace combat, you will love this one too

This is a full fat VR game made by 2 people with a solid but not groundbreaking story and fun characters and boss fights. Graphically, this game is very impressive for such a small effort.

    There are some bugs, that the developers are scrambling to fix as I type this review. This is not a perfect product, and could have spent another month or so on bug fixes. However, the bugs are non game effecting and did not detract from the experience in any meaningful way.

    I'll summarize like this: Ace Combat 7, which heavily inspired this game, is like a ribeye at a 5 star restaurant. It's immaculate, made by the chef who's been making it for years and has it to a cold science of spices and flavors. Project Wingman is a New York Strip from your favorite hometown diner. It's not as perfect and immaculate, but it comes with a care and warmth that can only come from a passion for the product. Easy recommendation for any fan of the genre.    … Full Review »
