I’ve always felt PES was at its best as a couch-based multiplayer game, but it’s heartening to see such a robust online component.

As far as gameplay is concerned it's a huge step forward - and a step back for AI and graphics.

Still not as complex and technologically advanced as FIFA, but this is the best PES in years, the game fans were waiting for. Konami managed to resurrect the spirit of Pro Evo 6, but with modern visuals that are breathtaking at times. [13/2014, p.54]

PES 2015 is a step forward to the next gen football sims. The core gameplay mechanisms are well-balanced, resulting in the game to be a real fun to play and surely the best of the series until now.

The PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 is a letdown. PCs are being treated unfairly this year and gets only some of the new stuff (and not everything works the way it should!). The game will run smoothly even on older laptops but I don't think this was the goal - besides the game itself is clearly worse than its competitors and the next-gen version. Of course, you can see the changes and have fun, but that's not enough.

If FIFA 15 seemed too fast and felt wrong for no apparent reason, it’s likely that PES 2015 is your game. [Jan 2015, p.74]

If you have a console, get Pro Evo 2015 on that. If you’re a PC-only football fan, this is a functional if lacklustre port of a great match engine with broken online support.

I was excited for PES 2015 but it is very clear that Konami isn't interested in this platform. I really hate many things about Fifa 2015 but EA did make the pc version just the same of PS4 and Xbox1. We all know that those consoles aren't so powerful and there is no reason for downgrading a pc game so far. I will not buy this game from konami and I really hope that many will do the same. It seems to be a game boy game! My only hope is the arrival of a new company for developing soccer games asap. Konami and EA aren't Worth Your coins, believe me Full Review »

No improvement. I give up on sport games.

    - The UI is still bad and animated/laggy so doing anything takes way longer than it should.
    - There's an insane amount of space on defense, you can keep the ball in their box way longer than you should. Fifa does the exact opposite, whereas once you get close to the box, it's just a massive clusterfck and you will get charged by 4 defenders. Neither feels like real football.
    - Skill moves feel really bad and unresponsive. Also it's not Tekken, don't expect me to press RS up, down, left, left, RB, X+Y, B, B, A, LT while running diagonally.
    - There's so much more they can do outside of the game in single player modes (ML, BAL), but there's zero change every year.
