Prey es un juego como los de antes, es un muy buen reboot del Prey (2006). Bethesda ha sabido crear una ambientación y unos escenarios que te hacen introducirte en el universo de Prey. Story is really interesting at the beginning but after few hours it's becoming absolute boring and Incomprehensible and it's totally blending with side quests. The biggest problem in this game is a quest structure... Almost every quest is looking exactly the same... You need to avoid enemies while searching for as many key cards you can find and next you need to find the doors that you need to open. At the beginning it's fun but when you realize that this game can't offer you anything besides this scheme it's totally messed up experience. Fighting in this game is a one big misunderstanding... Enemies are very strong and can kill you very quickly but you are constantly running out of ammo or stamina to defend yourself. And even if you beat tough enemy your reward will probably be some worthless junk like banana peel... Seriously? After 10 hours of playing pray is becoming so boring and frustrating... Enemies are everywhere and you are running out of ammo, out of room in you backpack out of ideas where to find another KEY CARD! When you'll reach your destination, sneek pass or kill every enemy, searched every corner for loot... You'll probably realized that you missed somewhere a KEY CARD. This game would be a 6 hours long if you throw out all the searching for those stupid KEY CARDS to all the doors. Maybe I am just not patient enough or maybe I just played this game somewhat differently than others... But this game wasn't for me at all... I really do understand now why this game never reached a wider audience. Expand

Overall I enjoyed Prey a lot. It reminded me of running through Half-Life back in the 90's. The graphics are very colorful and the game has a solid feel. The end of the story was an interesting, although somewhat predictable twist based on the information you receive during the game. It was a solid and enjoyable game. It's unlikely I would play it again myself as it appears to have only low to moderate replay value, despite claims to the opposite. Expand

The level transitions are amongst the most obnoxious ever, you click on a door and get asked with a windows type prompt if you really want to change levels, then you get to watch an ugly loading screen and then you have to press again for the game to continue, what the f. Humans and weapon models just look bad, the whole scenery has bad art that lacks contrast and realism, its not a very good looking game. The story is bioshock in space.

It has its flaws such as loading screens or unbalanced and annoying finale. But i think it's still an amazing game, it's a shame to see the low sales. Rip immersive sim genre.

This game is not for everybody. I expected "Dishonored in space" and that's not exactly what Prey is. It's way more stealth based, slow and your character is for most of the game hugely under-powered. I love Arkane and Prey definitely isn't a bad game, just a one I didn't enjoy as much as I thought.

It's a game that's an obvious love letter to the already mentioned System Shock 2, but the real star of this game is the space station on which it takes place: it's amazingly well realized, built like a real structure and not a video game level, but is still an absolute blast to explore. Its small, isolated setting also allows the writers to build up relationships in the crew: as you explore, you get little windows into the people that inhabit the station, how they felt about each other, and their histories. I've read other reviews claiming the story is bland, and I guess if you summarize it that's true, but the story here is more about the telling than the arc as a whole, and it's told just extremely well.

Gameplay-wise—and I feel this is often true of Arkane's games—starts out a little punishing until you get the hang of it. Then the sandbox opens up and you really get to play it your way. A lot of the objectives have more than one way of solving them, and it's fun to realize other possible solutions even after you've completed one. The rest of the mechanics are challenging to discuss without spoilers, but suffice to say you end up unlocking some very unique powers, and there are many interesting ways to build up your character. The way you construct items is also the best application of a resource collection and crafting mechanic I've seen in this sort of game, just absolutely wacky, satisfying, and delightful.

Something about this game that I haven't seen discussed often but deserves special mention: the UI/UX is so incredibly fantastic. The menus are thoughtful, inventory management works great, the whole thing just plays so smoothly. Whoever worked on it should be immensely proud.

I can't believe this didn't make a larger splash when it first came out; had it not been free on Epic Games I'm not sure I would've ever noticed it. Play this game, spend some hours with it before you judge it, and I think you'll have a wonderful time.

PREY is the poor man's SYSTEM SHOCK and seriously overrated (like all of Arkane's works). It lacks all the creepy atmosphere that SYSTEM SHOCK 1 & 2 had and those games came out 23 / 18 years prior. It replaces it with weird ideas like a gluegun (WHY?).
The enemies are shadowlike creatures that are pretty cool, not gonna lie, but the mimics that jump up for cheap jump scares get old

Many of its elements never quite come together, so there’s no payoff. The clumsy human stories, the botched difficulty curve, the dangling gameplay threads, the pointless decisions, the cool 3D printer scavenging economy, the coral, the hunters, the various survivors who need saving. If I never had fewer than a dozen mana potions, what did it matter whether I did the quest to put mana healing into the water supply?
