    2003 and the game has a graphic violence so well done that I was scared when I played the first time in 2015. Even today the physics and the way the blood behaves is impressive

    I dont really know why people are so offended in the comments.. the game has great humour and i also finished Apocalypse Weekend and Paradise Lost. this game is great and i cant imagine i discovered this game so much **** later... but its good anyway

At the beginning of each day, Postal Dude is given several tasks to accomplish, such as "get milk", "confess sins", and other seemingly mundane tasks. The objective of Postal 2 is to finish all of the tasks throughout the week, and the player can accomplish these tasks in any way they wish, be it as peacefully and civilly as possible, or as violently and chaotically as possible. It is possible, if occasionally difficult, to complete most tasks without engaging in battle, or at least, harming or killing other characters, as evidenced by the game's tagline: "Remember, it's only as violent as you are!" The daily tasks can be accomplished in any order the player desires, and the game also includes one task that is activated only when Postal Dude urinates, in which the player is tasked with getting treatment for gonorrhea after Postal Dude discovers he has the infection. Throughout the course of the game, Postal Dude must put up with being provoked by other characters on a regular basis. He is given the finger, mugged, attacked by various groups of protesters, and is harassed by an obnoxious convenience store owner/terrorist and his patrons who cut before Postal Dude in the "money line". During the game, Postal Dude also encounters a marching band, a murderous toy mascot named Krotchy, the Paradise Police Department and its SWAT team, overzealous ATF agents, the National Guard, an eccentric religious cult, cannibalistic butcher shop workers, fanatical al-Qaeda terrorists, and former child actor Gary Coleman, among many others. By Friday afternoon, the final day in the game, the apocalypse occurs and societal collapse soon follows, with all law and order breaking down. Cats begin to fall out of a darkly-colored sky, and almost everyone in town becomes heavily armed, with random gun battles breaking out in the streets. Despite this, Postal Dude returns home to his trailer as normal, where he then gets into an argument with his wife, who demands that Postal Dude explain why he never picked up the "rocky road" she asked for at the beginning of the game.     This is one of the best games I have ever played. From getting milk, to killing video game protesters, to pissing on Osama bin laden. If I had to explain this game to someone I would say that this is GTA but from the news perspective.

    hace unos días este juego cumplió 20 años de su lanzamiento. Este juego es muy bueno, lo que me fastidia es como tenemos que pasar los diversos puntos del mapa pero lo bueno es que es divertido porque podemos orinar en las personas y poner un gato en nuestra escopeta y matar personas .

    Irreverent and fun, with a lot of freedom and, surprisingly, a very immersive experience. Yes, some of the jokes are childish, but exploring the town and reveal all it's little Easter eggs and make crazy things (or not, whatever you decide), will make you enjoy each minute of this game and will leave you wanting more.

    One of the weirdest, yet coolest, games I ever played.

    Holy sh... Postal 2 was something. I heard many times of it in the past and how it got banned in many countries, that it does not have any reason to exist and that everything is messed up beyond belief. After Steam recommended me to play this game next, I thought I will give it a shot. Right from the beginning the rumors were    One of the weirdest, yet coolest, games I ever played.

    Right from the beginning the rumors were true. It is one big mash of weird stuff, adult jokes, references to other games and media and vile crap. I loved it immediately. Running with Scissors said that people must not take this game seriously, and they where right. Everything is one big joke, but a good joke.

    The graphics are impressive for the time and the sound is good. I also specifically love the AI. Although it can be tricked easy, on normal occasions, it is very advanced and self-thinking. There is so much going on around you and the people in the game all mind their own business before you pump them full of lead for no apparent reason.

    There were some annoyances like the constant crashing of the game on random moments and getting stuck more often than cat barf on a carpet but this I took for granted.

    I loved the artwork (especially on the achievement tiles), the jokes, the many references to other games, TV shows and modern-day problems and the constant satire on the world. Many times I asked myself: “How did they come up with this stuff?”

    Running with Scissors also tells you the story of how they got problems with their publisher and instead of placing a note on their site or cutting the game short, they hilariously made fun of the “evil” corporation that turns their game and feature games into sh!t. The constant criticism of the coming Postal III in the game is hilarious. They even make you literally piss on it many times. It is something I never saw in a game yet. They were right, Postal III sucks ass what I saw and have read about it.

    Just when I thought I saw it all, Postal 2 still surprised me with new and original content and humor until the end of the game.

    For me collecting the ridiculous 89 achievements from the main game and Paradise Lost was a real challenge, one I was happy to accept. It took me some time, but I finally did it. Completing the game and DLC on Postal mode was one of the hardest things I personally achieved in gaming so far. But it was possible, so I went for it.

    In conclusion, this game is one big mess of all the wrong you would not teach to your kids, but it is an amazing game. The effort from Running with Scissors is great and you can see immediately that they put their heart and soul in this title.

    Postal 2 gave me some hard-earned laughter, fun and challenge. I loved every minute of it.

    an amazing game. the story is really good, packed with obscure humor, violence, easter eggs and refferences. its replayable as there are many ways to complete each day and errand. it doesnt contain any major issues or bugs. for a game this old its very up to date when it comes to the story and im hoping we will see a remaster one day

    …because this game is ridiculous. It’s like playing a regular show episode. Return a book and be greeted by a big fire and armed protestors. It’s ridiculously fun.

    This game is a one big middle finger on anything. Evrything here was satirized. LGBTQ and much more. Pee on people, put cats on your mighty weapon and finally ask people to sign your pition and then kill them after they decline. An absolute time-killer. Recommended.

Here, The Dude is sent by his lousy nagging wife to fulfil a series of boring chores. However,    This game is a lot of fun! From start to finish you are given a very unique experience that you most likely won't find anywhere else.
    Basically, in this game you play as The Dude who is a on the surface an average everyman but when pushed to his limits becomes a cynical and violent sociopath. Here, The Dude is sent by his lousy nagging wife to fulfil a series of boring chores. However, The Dude is definitely a creative guy and manages to make all of them a violent and blood-soaked adventure.
    This game's is not very good graphically. As a matter a fact the character models look terrible, specifically the textures. The ai is also rather atrocious and very easy to break. Gameplay wise, the whole thing is pretty solid. It is a first-person shooter/adventure game. What you see is very much what you get, and the game is not very unique in that aspect. But that isn't the game's fault, because it knows what it is and dosen't try to be anything else. The game's main feature is the choice mechanic. Pretty much you can play the game one of two ways. The first, the normal way. You do everything exactly how you are supposed to. No violence, no carnage. But there is also the more popular way (and also the main selling point of the game) the violent way. Here, NOTHING is off limits you can steal, rob and murder as you please. Most people will go for the violent way as it is arguably more fun than doing everything by the book. Postal 2 is filled to the brim with different weapons for you to unlock, these range from normal weapons such as machine guns to napalm launchers to CAT SILENCERS. Another thing this game has become notorious for is, it's VERY controversial and downright offensive humor. Humor is subjective but if you like dark/offensive comedy, you will LOVE this game. V jednom ji milují a uctívají, v druhém ji nesnáší a je jim zní na zvracení. Přesně jak říkal John Romero, záleží jak jste šílení, pokud hodně tak se vám to bude velice líbit.
    Totálně ujetá akční hra Postal 2 je jako snuff. Vraždy jsou tady sranda a vy    Z počátku jsem pochyboval, hrál jsem to pak u kámoše a dnes to zbožňuji.     Don't look at the kids who criticize this masterpiece. They're the kind of **** who put 46 pronouns on their profile, and they find this game "offensive". It's just a kind of humor that even people with 1 neuron could understand. The only things I don't like are the loading times and sometimes the game crashes, but that's ok, you can easily get along with.

Though this game is extremely offensive in today's more politically correct society, it should be noted that the game was intended to be a caricature of what overly-concerned parents and politicians think violent and mature video games are like and the effects they have.

While I think the game is lacking in polish and substance, the tasks in the main story give the player an excuse to explore the sandbox world and get sidetracked doing whatever trouble you can get yourself into. The main story doesn't last very long, but there are plenty of miscellaneous achievements and objectives to spend time on.    … Expand

    Let me get this out of the way. I enjoy Postal 2. It's genuinely cathartic to play, has a great variety of weapons and areas to explore to find them, and ever-amusing dialogue from radio personality Rick Hunter as the Postal Dude, some of which I've repeated so often that it has become an identifying marker to my friends. It has benefited from continuous updates for over a decade, and nowLet me get this out of the way. I enjoy Postal 2. It's genuinely cathartic to play, has a great variety of weapons and areas to explore to find them, and ever-amusing dialogue from radio personality Rick Hunter as the Postal Dude, some of which I've repeated so often that it has become an identifying marker to my friends. It has benefited from continuous updates for over a decade, and now a new expansion. If only some "Triple-A" releases could say the same.

    The last time I played Postal 2 some years ago I was a much angrier person, and it resonated with me much more strongly. Now it makes me rather uncomfortable. There's shock value, and then there's Postal. It's disgusting, tasteless, and so South Park in it's morality that I'm sure are people out there who genuinely respect the Postal Dude and admire his sociopathic tendancies, wether they make him violent or not. Being hated is a common affliction, after all. Postal 2 is the game that loud-mouthed moral guardians complained about. It was made to mock, among many other things, Joe Lieberman's anti-violent videogame crusade in the 90s against games like Doom and the first Postal. Except that the first Postal, like its spiritual successor, Hatred, really IS a mass murder simulator. Hatred in particular, I hear, was made as a statement against art games and political correctness. Even Postal 2, which frames the Dude's adventure as an otherwise harmless week of daily chores (If you consider ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on your dad's grave to be harmless), is difficult to get through without killing quite a number of people. At least you can limit it to people who shoot you first. As it is, some of the things you can do to the unsuspecting populace are just plain mean.

    The trouble is, the game's mere existence is an example of why a lot of people don't take this medium seriously. It's a relic of PC gaming's teenage years. Plenty of games are as, or even more violent without relishing in immaturity for the sake of it. For an example of this done better, go play Bulletstorm, which is more creative both with its combat mechanics and its profanity- though it of course lacks the sandbox nature of Postal. On the other hand, its less likely to make you hate yourself then, say Grand Theft Auto, where, oddly enough, the citizens are actually more pleasant. People forget that the word "correct" is part of the phrase "politically correct". Though I think "morally justifiable" is more accurate. And many of the actions one can take in Postal 2 simply aren't. If you have to preface your game with a warning that not only should you not do these things, but we don't advocate them, maybe you went overboard, eh? I should note here that I dislike most of Grand Theft Auto for the same reasons- well, that and the godawful controls. At least Postal 2 handles well.

    At some level, I'm playing right into the hands of Running with Scissors with a review like this. They knew exactly what they were doing when they made this game and this kind of negativity only boosted their sales, and It wouldn't have made it on to Steam without a combination of that negative press and fun gameplay, not to mention an unhealthy amount of respect from the **** kiddies and regressionists.

    I enjoyed playing Postal 2 a second time, but I can't honestly recommend it to anyone without the good judgement not to take it seriously. There are enough people in real life like the Postal Dude that it's become kind of a problem.    … Expand

The story is pretty much non existent, things just happen and you get to decide, will you stand in the line in the bank or will you burn the people in the line alive with some gasoline? Pay the cashier or shoot him in the face with a shotgun? If you choose to play like a normal person would (which you won't choose, trust me) you will find out that it's very difficult to do that, maybe even impossible. Running with scissors, the devs behind the game, wants you to play as a lunatic, proved even more by the latest part of the game which I won't spoil. Of course, the graphics are way too old now and the game can't hide it's age, but the unreal engine it's worked on is highly playable to this day and the AI is surprisingly cooperative for a game this old. What is also very interesting is that at points I felt like I was playing an fps, at times an RPG (and it's not at all an RPG) and at some times a horror game, which is kind of is. Of course, this review is being written in 2020 and the question is, would I recommend this game today? And the answer is, yes, yes and yes! The drawbacks that keep it at an 8 all have to do with aspects of the game that have to do with it's age it came out. Of course, it's not for everyone and if you are easily offended stay the hell away.     Portal 2 is definitely one of the best games of 2011, maybe ever. It is a must play for all gamers, because everyone should experience the lovable characters, the challenging yet fair puzzles with the fleshed out Portal mechanic, and one of the best endings in video game history. Classic.

    This game is great and extremely fun. It might be one of the most controversial games ever, but Postal 2 is a really fun and ultra-violent game to spend your time with. If you love open-world games or satirical comedic games, you definitely need to play this game. This game has extremely hilarious political and pop culture satire that will make you laugh out loud. И ведь было всем счастье, невероятно весёлая игра получилась! Я чуть со стула от смеха не упал, когда, в вышеупомянутом dlc, финальный босс вышел, со словами, ну типа - "Я здесь главный! Преклонитесь все, пред моим членом и жопой!" ;) Смешно было!
    Но разработчики решили пойти другим путем и выпустили говняную, и неиграбельную Postal 3. (Вот честно, не понимаю, зачем, ЗАЧЕМ, ломать то, что прекрасно работает!) Мало того, что они за чем-то сменили перспективу, так, что игра стала выглядеть просто ужасно. Они ещё заменили весь жопно-сортирный юмор второй части, на какую-то извращенскую бредятину, а это согласитесь не одно и тоже! Оценки Postal 3 сами за себя говорят.
    Была надежда на четвертую часть, но как я понял из прохождения альфы, ничему разрабы не учатся. И думаю четвертую серию ждёт провал.
    А жаль!
    Postal 2 была очень весёлой игрой, про тупого расп...здяя, которому насрать на завтрашний день. И было очень приятно, почувствовать себя в его шкуре, хотя бы в игре!
    Да, Postal 2 не щеголяла шикарным графоном, крутым сюжетом, невероятной баллистикой, ей всё это было и не нужно. Игра, не про то.

    Dude this **** is really racist and horrible. Its 'sense of humor' a lot of the time comes out of me being dumb and going on *very tactical* rampages. The game is fun, but damn it's edgy.

    I've been having a LOT of fun with it. I seriously don't know if i'd call it good....its kinda bad....offensive and bad....but it's addictive and a lot of fun.

    This is the OG video game masterpiece that inspired Nintendo to go on and maker Zelda Breath of the wild.

    An open world that rewards exploration and offers the player several mechanics that can be used and combined however they want, to achieve their goals in creative ways that nobody else was even thinking about.

That's why there's such a massive cult following even after all these years - no game has ever come close as no developer has dared to risk their image to this degree. Debauchery at its finest.

    And surprisingly (if you've read any of the hateful reviews), the game is actually pretty damn good in many ways. The sound design is excellent (I'll never forget the shovel *THUNK* sound), exploration is balanced and fun in the typical 90s shooter style plus there's a mad variety of in-game situations and locations given its budget.

    Personally I really enjoy the game's ability to attract politically motivated criticism, yet banal entertainment is precisely what gaming was built on. Weren't most of the successful games throughout history little more than massacre simulations? Did the imps in Diablo really deserve to be be smitten by the thousands, or the soldiers in Red Alert to be torched to death with napalm? What of Mario and his animal-mushroom cruelty?

    There's even an article associating Postal 2 with Gamergate, while in reality the fanbase rarely engages in political discussion. The game is too crazy to spark any serious discussion among its fans so we don't actually know their political views, and in the few cases I have seen it there were actually more progressives - though both sides were unusually civil.

    In a nutshell, I strongly advise ignoring any politically motivated criticism towards the game and to simply make up your own mind. Chances are, you won't regret it.    … Expand

    lets talk about the story now so the story is basically on Monday your wife sends you out to run some errands like picking up milk stuff like that then when you find you finish all of your errands you go on to Tuesday and then the same cycle repeats over and over until you get to Friday now once you finish Friday you have the option to do Saturday and Sunday and as a bonus you can buy the paradise lost DLC

    Now I know what your thinking "this sounds really repetitive and boring" but it's really not because almost every time you finish an errand something happens example: in one mission you are at a church to confess your sins and then when you go to leave there is terrorist attack and you have to kill all the terrorists

    This game can be a blast with all the different wacky and random things that happen another thing I want to talk about is the GTA element of the game there is a wanted meter and the police will chase after you and it's pretty fun trying to escape from them but if they catch you they put you in jail and the only way to escape jail is if you light a match and throw it at the fire alarm then all the cell doors will open and you have run past some police officers and find the exit

    Now let's talk about some negatives some of the missions are extremely painfully hard to beat and i play this on average mode but trust me this game is very hard even on average difficulty but there is tons of other difficulty settings so don't worry it won't be to hard if put it on something like very easy

    Anyway that's pretty much all I have to say about the game its a must play especially now because it's only $1.45 or you can get the postal 2 collection which comes with the DLC and it's only $2.38 I have only owned this game for two days and played it for 11 hours but trust this might be one of the best games ever    … Expand

    Postal 2 is a game for terrible people, and I mean that in the best possible way. You play as a psychopath who dresses like Neo from the Matrix if he was superstitious of extra-terrestrial lifeforms. The objective of Postal 2 is to complete a list of seemingly simple everyday tasks, but the town you live in is filled with colorful, insane characters who are for some inexplicable reason all armed to the brink with weapons. You will come face to face with illiterate arsonists, cannibalistic butchers, religious turf wars between Catholic priests and Muslim terrorists, and of course, child actor Gary Coleman.

    One of the key aspects of Postal 2 is that it gives you free reign over how you complete these tasks. For instance, at the beginning of the game, you are given the task of cashing in a paycheck. You could simply wait in line and give the check to the bank employee at the counter, y’know like a normal person, OR you could break into the vault, drop the check, and grab as much money as you can before every police officer within a two mile radius shows up and absolutely obliterates you with a ceaseless barrage of lead. It’s awesome.

    Postal 2 is definetly among the most vulgar games I have ever played. So much so, that there is a dedicated button to unzip your pants so you can p*ss on anything and anyone you desire. Never before have I felt such pity for a non-real character in a video game as when I laid down a sprinkle storm of urine upon on a poor, unsuspecting Postal 2 NPC to the point of which he vomited. I was rewarded for this unholy action with an achievement. That’s the video game equivalent of giving a Nobel Peace Prize to a man who burned down a small village in a third-world nation inhabited by impoverished, starving children.

    At the end of the day, this review doesn’t do Postal 2 justice, and it’s just a game you have to experience for yourself. Or, y’know, you could just buy a can of Pringles. Your call.    … Expand

    It's a quick fun romp that is more pleasure than pain. But, the utter lack of tact make it more of a play on marketing rather than a quality FPS.
