It's like a poor man's Grand Theft Auto, without the driving, constant cinematics and only mimimal social commentary.

    Damn good fun for anyone who doesn't have a stick up their butt and the expansion packs and recent DLC are all great also.    … Expand

    It's a great game. It (gameplay) will however wear off. I think though most will go back from time to time to "go postal" after a hard day's work. That's what this game is about. A release if you want. You don't have to kill anyone and why sometimes you just can't help yourself. I love the idea. Do simple chores and if you want "go postal". The game is just It's a great game. The dialog will leave you speechless. Which by the way is a good thing. After you lay a couple of people to rest you may have a smart ass remark. It's a pull from Duke Nukem but done better. The "dude" is such a hardass that it reminds me of "Ash" on Army of Darkness. One tacky and unrelated "feature" to the game is the ablity to pee. Yep, you can pee on people. It's funny but get's old quick. The people react the same. Scream if your "thingie" is to close to them, or laugh if your afar. The technology in the game is okay. It's NOT a programming master peice on the tech side. It is however on the "senario/gameplay" side. There are a few bugs here and there but nothing annoying. You get stuck everyonce in a while but they programmed a way out. The game will actually see that your stuck and move you out. Cool feature. Graphics are not that great and for some reason they need a great system. It's more like the overhead of the Unreal 2 engine than the actual graphics used in the game. Which is a shame. I think the game could have been done in Quake3 engine with better results. However I am sure due to price the Unreal engine was the best choice *They are constantly in court with The US Postal Service for trademark infriengments.     A great game! Alot like GTA, do what you want, but with a few missions involved. Also very funny, and laid-back. If you fail a mission, its not the end of the game like some other games like this. If you fail a mission, which is hard to do, just shoot they guy who made you fail, simple!

    This game is almost 11 years old. When it came out it was looked upon as a very gory, bloody and violent game, 11 years later and it still lives up to the name and even out-ranks a lot of other rated M games when it comes to violence.

    The game has a story of basically running arons, but unlike most games it doesn't push you to do the main objective, you can explore all you want kill all you want and screw around all you want without having to worry about doing the missions.

    On Steam you can buy the game for 9 bucks, is it worth 9 bucks for a 11 year old game, maybe not but it is defiantly worth it on sale and if you have some extra money to spend.

Because it will make fun about your religion, race, political view etc. But if you like dark humor, and if you have a sociopath inside, this game offers you pure fun.     This game is just instantly classic and a joy to play, of course it seems a little dated (Unreal Engine 2) But it has a dev who, unlike other certain developers, actually continue to support a game which they created over 10 years ago

    Also Postal Dudes voice actor is just so good.

    lets talk about the story now so the story is basically on Monday your wife sends you out to run some errands like picking up milk stuff like that then when you find you finish all of your errands you go on to Tuesday and then the same cycle repeats over and over until you get to Friday now once you finish Friday you have the option to do Saturday and Sunday and as a bonus you can buy the paradise lost DLC

    Now I know what your thinking "this sounds really repetitive and boring" but it's really not because almost every time you finish an errand something happens example: in one mission you are at a church to confess your sins and then when you go to leave there is terrorist attack and you have to kill all the terrorists

    This game can be a blast with all the different wacky and random things that happen another thing I want to talk about is the GTA element of the game there is a wanted meter and the police will chase after you and it's pretty fun trying to escape from them but if they catch you they put you in jail and the only way to escape jail is if you light a match and throw it at the fire alarm then all the cell doors will open and you have run past some police officers and find the exit

    Now let's talk about some negatives some of the missions are extremely painfully hard to beat and i play this on average mode but trust me this game is very hard even on average difficulty but there is tons of other difficulty settings so don't worry it won't be to hard if put it on something like very easy

    Anyway that's pretty much all I have to say about the game its a must play especially now because it's only $1.45 or you can get the postal 2 collection which comes with the DLC and it's only $2.38 I have only owned this game for two days and played it for 11 hours but trust this might be one of the best games ever    … Expand

    Postal 2 is a game for terrible people, and I mean that in the best possible way. You play as a psychopath who dresses like Neo from the Matrix if he was superstitious of extra-terrestrial lifeforms. The objective of Postal 2 is to complete a list of seemingly simple everyday tasks, but the town you live in is filled with colorful, insane characters who are for some inexplicable reason all armed to the brink with weapons. You will come face to face with illiterate arsonists, cannibalistic butchers, religious turf wars between Catholic priests and Muslim terrorists, and of course, child actor Gary Coleman.

    One of the key aspects of Postal 2 is that it gives you free reign over how you complete these tasks. For instance, at the beginning of the game, you are given the task of cashing in a paycheck. You could simply wait in line and give the check to the bank employee at the counter, y’know like a normal person, OR you could break into the vault, drop the check, and grab as much money as you can before every police officer within a two mile radius shows up and absolutely obliterates you with a ceaseless barrage of lead. It’s awesome.

    Postal 2 is definetly among the most vulgar games I have ever played. So much so, that there is a dedicated button to unzip your pants so you can p*ss on anything and anyone you desire. Never before have I felt such pity for a non-real character in a video game as when I laid down a sprinkle storm of urine upon on a poor, unsuspecting Postal 2 NPC to the point of which he vomited. I was rewarded for this unholy action with an achievement. That’s the video game equivalent of giving a Nobel Peace Prize to a man who burned down a small village in a third-world nation inhabited by impoverished, starving children.

    At the end of the day, this review doesn’t do Postal 2 justice, and it’s just a game you have to experience for yourself. Or, y’know, you could just buy a can of Pringles. Your call.    … Expand

    This is the OG video game masterpiece that inspired Nintendo to go on and maker Zelda Breath of the wild.

    An open world that rewards exploration and offers the player several mechanics that can be used and combined however they want, to achieve their goals in creative ways that nobody else was even thinking about.

    Game is so fun and chaotic and also simple, i mean in the first mission you have to buy milk, what's there not to like? Also this game can be violent as **** and I think it's amazing xd. Anyways there will never be another game like postal 2, definitely recommend you to try it at least once.

    Irreverent and fun, with a lot of freedom and, surprisingly, a very immersive experience. Yes, some of the jokes are childish, but exploring the town and reveal all it's little Easter eggs and make crazy things (or not, whatever you decide), will make you enjoy each minute of this game and will leave you wanting more.

The game gives you normal tasks like "Buy milk" and "Return book". But these tasks come with a very "American" way so you don't get bored. Game contains so much randomness to keep tou entertained. The story is pretty much non existent, things just happen and you get to decide, will you stand in the line in the bank or will you burn the people in the line alive with some gasoline? Pay the cashier or shoot him in the face with a shotgun? If you choose to play like a normal person would (which you won't choose, trust me) you will find out that it's very difficult to do that, maybe even impossible. Running with scissors, the devs behind the game, wants you to play as a lunatic, proved even more by the latest part of the game which I won't spoil. Of course, the graphics are way too old now and the game can't hide it's age, but the unreal engine it's worked on is highly playable to this day and the AI is surprisingly cooperative for a game this old. What is also very interesting is that at points I felt like I was playing an fps, at times an RPG (and it's not at all an RPG) and at some times a horror game, which is kind of is. Of course, this review is being written in 2020 and the question is, would I recommend this game today? And the answer is, yes, yes and yes! The drawbacks that keep it at an 8 all have to do with aspects of the game that have to do with it's age it came out. Of course, it's not for everyone and if you are easily offended stay the hell away.     Don't look at the kids who criticize this masterpiece. They're the kind of **** who put 46 pronouns on their profile, and they find this game "offensive". It's just a kind of humor that even people with 1 neuron could understand. The only things I don't like are the loading times and sometimes the game crashes, but that's ok, you can easily get along with.

    I can say that if you know sumone insane dont let them play the game unless it helps to prevent them from doing anything bad in real life...

    Now those that say this is like GTA...are right yet wrong...it is like GTA in its free roaming way...but GTA isnt as fun or gory or all out let you do anything game...

    This game will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire ride...and well yes there is Multiplayer now...and it too is not perfect...it seems that the ingame server browser miscalculates the ping sorta like steam's server browser that you can use before entering a game...so yea...for example it may say that you get like 117 ping on a server but when you join you can really have like half of that...so yea...

    The MP also is just as controversial as the SP is so watch out and you have to allow foul language from others to not offend you that much because it is there and will be used...

    The graphix people say are not that good but for the Unreal engine they are actually all pretty tight and nice to view...so yea...

    Now go and blast away your boss and set the army on fire and well if they run towards you and set you on fire...just pee on your self...but be careful not to piss on your self for too long or you may swallow sum...    … Expand

    When i played this for the first time, i was suspicious about it. I downloaded the patches from RWS-site and started playing. After i stopped playing, i watched the clock: jeez, i had played it over 8 hours! This game is so underestimated. It truly deserves 10/10 or 5/5.

    A greatest game ever. Not for every people, and not for modern children, but very fun! The most original game ever made. It`s better than Duke Nukem, and more funny than Serious Sam. I love this game

    A nasty, crude adventure that cause the ignorant to squirm. The main concept isn't the combat or graphics. If you dive into the game without expecting anything, you will truly be rewarded with laughs and entertainment.

    Truly an underrated game, for those who can not handle its offensive themes I understand. But looking past it is immature themes, this game is fun and addicting. Every combat scenario in this game is exciting and will keep you interested. I highly recommend this game to my friends or anyone who is looking to blow off some steam.

    Funniest game ever! Everything here is perfect fun! The only problem I see in the game is the AI. The Nonplayable characters in this game act very strange. Other than that, you have an extremely fun game that will consume hours of your time.

    Absolutely love it!!
    For me, it never gets old to just run around the street with an axe, chopping the police up, lighting them on fire and pissing them out.
    It's just a kick-ass game, there's some hilarious references and satirical jokes.
    At first I wasn't really sure what to expect, but the game left me with a lot of laughs and kept me entertained for hours.

    Fun game. Needs improvement though. Mainly play this as a boredom breaker. I would recommend buying this. The modded weapons are good and the online is pretty active also.

    The graphics is awesome for a 2003 game, the gameplay is excellent because you can do what you want. The story isn't very edited but it's ok. The sounds aren't very realistics and personally i didn't like them.
    But anyway you have to buy it, now.

    Sounds are enjoyable if someone talks the player can clearly hear where it's coming from. The sounds of guns really make you feel how much damage it does. Although voice acting is not really good in this game, most of the dialogues are funny. Music in this game is almost none existent, and where it does would not last long. There are so many places when you hear music, and you get this badass feeling, just to realize it's already ended.

    Controls (8/10):
    Controls are a bit whacky, I'm not saying it's bad, but in the end, you'll have so many weapons and I found it difficult to alternate between them, but overall I had no problem controlling Postal Dude.

    Gameplay (9/10):
    I didn't have so much fun for a really long time, I can't give it 10, because, in the end, the game became a bit freaky/predictable for my taste, all in all, it has been a great experience. Sure there were grinding and boring or too fast days, but most of them weren't.

    Story (10/10):
    The story is all about plot twists, and given how much choice you have this game has a lot of replay value. The background story is that the Postal Dude and his wife moves to Paradise. The wife orders Dude to do shopping and other stuff around the town. And the story comes from the town's unusual population, which is a really great critic of society.    … Expand

    Postal 2 is a game that can be clever, and has some good gameplay elements. As the developers say, the game is as violent as you are, which is correct. You can complete the entire game without killing a single npc, although it requires a lot of patience, skill, and manipulation of the A.I.. To add to that, you can also complete the game killing everything you see, which can also be difficult depending on what difficulty you're on. The game also provides good level design, such as in the napalm factory mission, and you have to avoid getting getting set on fire, or falling to death by using platforming.

    The genius of the game lies in the mix of good game design and doing something the way you want to, no matter how crude or obscene it is. For that reason, it has a lot of replay value.

    Also, you can play the game for hours without doing a single errand. One day, I spent 4 hours just desrtoying everything without even completing anything. You can just go in a game and do that, and it still has tons of replay value.

    The developers also keep the game up to date, by releasing patches for the game's bugs and glitches. If you look at some of the complaints about the bugs on Steam, you can actually see the developers responding to them, and giving advice on how to fix the issue.

    With the positives, I also have some criticisms. One problem many players face when they play this game are game crashes. They can get really annoying if you're playing on a higher difficulty. The engine can't handle the numbers the game throws at it, and so it crashes. Another criticism I have are the FPS drops. I'm pretty sure that my computer exceeds the limits of Postal 2, and my FPS can still drop to 30 or 20 at times. Sometimes when I'm in a crowded area and start shooting, it'll freeze for a few seconds, and then resume to normal.

    In conclusion, Postal 2 is a great game that you should check out if you haven't. I'd love to give it a 10/10 but sadly due to these criticisms I'll have to give it an 8/10. I can't wait until Postal 4 comes out!    … Expand

    Funny , black mood, criticizes society and and it was very risky by the time it came out.

    It is not a game that I recommend to everyone due the content, but if you like black mood this game is for you.

That's why there's such a massive cult following even after all these years - no game has ever come close as no developer has dared to risk their image to this degree. Debauchery at its finest.

    And surprisingly (if you've read any of the hateful reviews), the game is actually pretty damn good in many ways. The sound design is excellent (I'll never forget the shovel *THUNK* sound), exploration is balanced and fun in the typical 90s shooter style plus there's a mad variety of in-game situations and locations given its budget.

    Personally I really enjoy the game's ability to attract politically motivated criticism, yet banal entertainment is precisely what gaming was built on. Weren't most of the successful games throughout history little more than massacre simulations? Did the imps in Diablo really deserve to be be smitten by the thousands, or the soldiers in Red Alert to be torched to death with napalm? What of Mario and his animal-mushroom cruelty?

    There's even an article associating Postal 2 with Gamergate, while in reality the fanbase rarely engages in political discussion. The game is too crazy to spark any serious discussion among its fans so we don't actually know their political views, and in the few cases I have seen it there were actually more progressives - though both sides were unusually civil.

    In a nutshell, I strongly advise ignoring any politically motivated criticism towards the game and to simply make up your own mind. Chances are, you won't regret it.    … Expand

И ведь было всем счастье, невероятно весёлая игра получилась! Я чуть со стула от смеха не упал, когда, в вышеупомянутом dlc, финальный босс вышел, со словами, ну типа - "Я здесь главный! Преклонитесь все, пред моим членом и жопой!" ;) Смешно было!
    Но разработчики решили пойти другим путем и выпустили говняную, и неиграбельную Postal 3. (Вот честно, не понимаю, зачем, ЗАЧЕМ, ломать то, что прекрасно работает!) Мало того, что они за чем-то сменили перспективу, так, что игра стала выглядеть просто ужасно. Они ещё заменили весь жопно-сортирный юмор второй части, на какую-то извращенскую бредятину, а это согласитесь не одно и тоже! Оценки Postal 3 сами за себя говорят.
    Была надежда на четвертую часть, но как я понял из прохождения альфы, ничему разрабы не учатся. И думаю четвертую серию ждёт провал.
    А жаль!
    Postal 2 была очень весёлой игрой, про тупого расп...здяя, которому насрать на завтрашний день. И было очень приятно, почувствовать себя в его шкуре, хотя бы в игре!
    Да, Postal 2 не щеголяла шикарным графоном, крутым сюжетом, невероятной баллистикой, ей всё это было и не нужно. Игра, не про то.
    Жаль, что сейчас на такое, из-за ссаного феминизма и грёбаной толерантности, никто не пойдет. Как мир изменился. А ведь всего 17 лет прошло.........    … Expand

V jednom ji milují a uctívají, v druhém ji nesnáší a je jim zní na zvracení. Přesně jak říkal John Romero, záleží jak jste šílení, pokud hodně tak se vám to bude velice líbit.
