    This game is a lot of fun! From start to finish you are given a very unique experience that you most likely won't find anywhere else.
    Basically, in this game you play as The Dude who is a on the surface an average everyman but when pushed to his limits becomes a cynical and violent sociopath. Here, The Dude is sent by his lousy nagging wife to fulfil a series of boring chores. However,    This game is a lot of fun! From start to finish you are given a very unique experience that you most likely won't find anywhere else.
    Basically, in this game you play as The Dude who is a on the surface an average everyman but when pushed to his limits becomes a cynical and violent sociopath. Here, The Dude is sent by his lousy nagging wife to fulfil a series of boring chores. However, The Dude is definitely a creative guy and manages to make all of them a violent and blood-soaked adventure.
    This game's is not very good graphically. As a matter a fact the character models look terrible, specifically the textures. The ai is also rather atrocious and very easy to break. Gameplay wise, the whole thing is pretty solid. It is a first-person shooter/adventure game. What you see is very much what you get, and the game is not very unique in that aspect. But that isn't the game's fault, because it knows what it is and dosen't try to be anything else. The game's main feature is the choice mechanic. Pretty much you can play the game one of two ways. The first, the normal way. You do everything exactly how you are supposed to. No violence, no carnage. But there is also the more popular way (and also the main selling point of the game) the violent way. Here, NOTHING is off limits you can steal, rob and murder as you please. Most people will go for the violent way as it is arguably more fun than doing everything by the book. Postal 2 is filled to the brim with different weapons for you to unlock, these range from normal weapons such as machine guns to napalm launchers to CAT SILENCERS. Another thing this game has become notorious for is, it's VERY controversial and downright offensive humor. Humor is subjective but if you like dark/offensive comedy, you will LOVE this game.     This is one of the best games I have ever played. From getting milk, to killing video game protesters, to pissing on Osama bin laden. If I had to explain this game to someone I would say that this is GTA but from the news perspective.

    It's a great game. It (gameplay) will however wear off. I think though most will go back from time to time to "go postal" after a hard day's work. That's what this game is about. A release if you want. You don't have to kill anyone and why sometimes you just can't help yourself. I love the idea. Do simple chores and if you want "go postal". The game is just It's a great game. The dialog will leave you speechless. Which by the way is a good thing. After you lay a couple of people to rest you may have a smart ass remark. It's a pull from Duke Nukem but done better. The "dude" is such a hardass that it reminds me of "Ash" on Army of Darkness. One tacky and unrelated "feature" to the game is the ablity to pee. Yep, you can pee on people. It's funny but get's old quick. The people react the same. Scream if your "thingie" is to close to them, or laugh if your afar. The technology in the game is okay. It's NOT a programming master peice on the tech side. It is however on the "senario/gameplay" side. There are a few bugs here and there but nothing annoying. You get stuck everyonce in a while but they programmed a way out. The game will actually see that your stuck and move you out. Cool feature. Graphics are not that great and for some reason they need a great system. It's more like the overhead of the Unreal 2 engine than the actual graphics used in the game. Which is a shame. I think the game could have been done in Quake3 engine with better results. However I am sure due to price the Unreal engine was the best choice *They are constantly in court with The US Postal Service for trademark infriengments.     I really don't see why this game gets so much hate, On just bare bones this is a average "free roam" shooter, but its more then just the bare bones. Postal 2 contains some of the most offensive, but funny, humor. It is original and has loads of fun.     Truly an underrated game, for those who can not handle its offensive themes I understand. But looking past it is immature themes, this game is fun and addicting. Every combat scenario in this game is exciting and will keep you interested. I highly recommend this game to my friends or anyone who is looking to blow off some steam.

    This game is almost 11 years old. When it came out it was looked upon as a very gory, bloody and violent game, 11 years later and it still lives up to the name and even out-ranks a lot of other rated M games when it comes to violence.

    This is basically a joke sandbox game with wit at its center, and the jokes are still funny even though they are really old. People **** about the graphics need to stop suspecting everything to look like GTA 5 and realize this game is almost 11 years old and it is still profitable.

    The game has a story of basically running arons, but unlike most games it doesn't push you to do the main objective, you can explore all you want kill all you want and screw around all you want without having to worry about doing the missions.

    On Steam you can buy the game for 9 bucks, is it worth 9 bucks for a 11 year old game, maybe not but it is defiantly worth it on sale and if you have some extra money to spend.

    A completely sick game in both meanings of the word.Meaningless fun is my favourite kind of fun and that is why i loved this,besides the cheeky graphics and some dull mechanics.

You can complete the entire game without killing a single npc, although it requires a lot of patience, skill, and manipulation of    Postal 2 can easily be looked at as a game that's controversial and nothing else, but that's not the case.

    Postal 2 is a game that can be clever, and has some good gameplay elements. As the developers say, the game is as violent as you are, which is correct. You can complete the entire game without killing a single npc, although it requires a lot of patience, skill, and manipulation of the A.I.. To add to that, you can also complete the game killing everything you see, which can also be difficult depending on what difficulty you're on. The game also provides good level design, such as in the napalm factory mission, and you have to avoid getting getting set on fire, or falling to death by using platforming.

    The genius of the game lies in the mix of good game design and doing something the way you want to, no matter how crude or obscene it is. For that reason, it has a lot of replay value.

    Also, you can play the game for hours without doing a single errand. One day, I spent 4 hours just desrtoying everything without even completing anything. You can just go in a game and do that, and it still has tons of replay value.

    The developers also keep the game up to date, by releasing patches for the game's bugs and glitches. If you look at some of the complaints about the bugs on Steam, you can actually see the developers responding to them, and giving advice on how to fix the issue.

    With the positives, I also have some criticisms. One problem many players face when they play this game are game crashes. They can get really annoying if you're playing on a higher difficulty. The engine can't handle the numbers the game throws at it, and so it crashes. Another criticism I have are the FPS drops. I'm pretty sure that my computer exceeds the limits of Postal 2, and my FPS can still drop to 30 or 20 at times. Sometimes when I'm in a crowded area and start shooting, it'll freeze for a few seconds, and then resume to normal.

    In conclusion, Postal 2 is a great game that you should check out if you haven't. I'd love to give it a 10/10 but sadly due to these criticisms I'll have to give it an 8/10. I can't wait until Postal 4 comes out!    … Expand

    Я не знаю, что вообще творится с Postal. А тем более, не понимаю, что творится в голове у разработчиков. В первую часть не играл, так как говно. Но вот в 2003 году вышла крышесносная, рабочая неделя, жизни Чувака - Postal 2. За тем, ещё два выходных дня недели, в dlc    Недавно посмотрел пре-альфу Postal 4 и вспомнил, как я думаю, лучшую игру серии, Postal 2. И решил написать про это!

Но вот в 2003 году вышла крышесносная, рабочая неделя, жизни Чувака - Postal 2. За тем, ещё два выходных дня недели, в dlc Apocalypse Weekend. И ведь было всем счастье, невероятно весёлая игра получилась! Я чуть со стула от смеха не упал, когда, в вышеупомянутом dlc, финальный босс вышел, со словами, ну типа - "Я здесь главный! Преклонитесь все, пред моим членом и жопой!" ;) Смешно было!
    Но разработчики решили пойти другим путем и выпустили говняную, и неиграбельную Postal 3. (Вот честно, не понимаю, зачем, ЗАЧЕМ, ломать то, что прекрасно работает!) Мало того, что они за чем-то сменили перспективу, так, что игра стала выглядеть просто ужасно. Они ещё заменили весь жопно-сортирный юмор второй части, на какую-то извращенскую бредятину, а это согласитесь не одно и тоже! Оценки Postal 3 сами за себя говорят.
    Была надежда на четвертую часть, но как я понял из прохождения альфы, ничему разрабы не учатся. И думаю четвертую серию ждёт провал.
    А жаль!
    Postal 2 была очень весёлой игрой, про тупого расп...здяя, которому насрать на завтрашний день. И было очень приятно, почувствовать себя в его шкуре, хотя бы в игре!
    Да, Postal 2 не щеголяла шикарным графоном, крутым сюжетом, невероятной баллистикой, ей всё это было и не нужно. Игра, не про то.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the contents of the game and must say that it was probably the greatest thing I have bought for 99 cents. That’s saying something considering the fact that I have bought an ENTIRE can of Pringles for that sameI will admit the only reason I bought Postal 2 was to spend the remaining dollar in my Steam wallet during the 2019 Steam Winter Sale event. That’s saying something considering the fact that I have bought an ENTIRE can of Pringles for that same price.

    Postal 2 is a game for terrible people, and I mean that in the best possible way. You play as a psychopath who dresses like Neo from the Matrix if he was superstitious of extra-terrestrial lifeforms. The objective of Postal 2 is to complete a list of seemingly simple everyday tasks, but the town you live in is filled with colorful, insane characters who are for some inexplicable reason all armed to the brink with weapons. You will come face to face with illiterate arsonists, cannibalistic butchers, religious turf wars between Catholic priests and Muslim terrorists, and of course, child actor Gary Coleman.

    One of the key aspects of Postal 2 is that it gives you free reign over how you complete these tasks. For instance, at the beginning of the game, you are given the task of cashing in a paycheck. You could simply wait in line and give the check to the bank employee at the counter, y’know like a normal person, OR you could break into the vault, drop the check, and grab as much money as you can before every police officer within a two mile radius shows up and absolutely obliterates you with a ceaseless barrage of lead. It’s awesome.

    Postal 2 is definetly among the most vulgar games I have ever played. So much so, that there is a dedicated button to unzip your pants so you can p*ss on anything and anyone you desire. Never before have I felt such pity for a non-real character in a video game as when I laid down a sprinkle storm of urine upon on a poor, unsuspecting Postal 2 NPC to the point of which he vomited. I was rewarded for this unholy action with an achievement. That’s the video game equivalent of giving a Nobel Peace Prize to a man who burned down a small village in a third-world nation inhabited by impoverished, starving children.

    At the end of the day, this review doesn’t do Postal 2 justice, and it’s just a game you have to experience for yourself. Or, y’know, you could just buy a can of Pringles. Your call.    … Expand

    Irreverent and fun, with a lot of freedom and, surprisingly, a very immersive experience. Yes, some of the jokes are childish, but exploring the town and reveal all it's little Easter eggs and make crazy things (or not, whatever you decide), will make you enjoy each minute of this game and will leave you wanting more.

The game gives you normal tasks like "Buy milk" and "Return book". But these tasks come with a very "American" way so you don't get bored. Game contains so much randomness to keep tou entertained.     The game play is not the best for 2003, but the game aims for fun, not for reality. It really tries to keep you entertained with the story and the game play elements. And the game takes 7 hours, which is perfect time to not get itself repeated so you don't get bored.

    After all, it is a great game. If you want to have some fun after an exhausting day. And want to de charge yourself, it is a perfect selection for you. However, you shouldn't play if you are easily offended, because this game based on dark humour.    … Expand

The story is pretty much non existent, things just happen and you get to decide, will you stand in the line in the bank or will you burn the people in the line alive with some gasoline? Pay the cashier or shoot him in the face with a shotgun? If you choose to play like a normal person would (which you won't choose, trust me) you will find out that it's very difficult to do that, maybe even impossible. Running with scissors, the devs behind the game, wants you to play as a lunatic, proved even more by the latest part of the game which I won't spoil. Of course, the graphics are way too old now and the game can't hide it's age, but the unreal engine it's worked on is highly playable to this day and the AI is surprisingly cooperative for a game this old. What is also very interesting is that at points I felt like I was playing an fps, at times an RPG (and it's not at all an RPG) and at some times a horror game, which is kind of is. Of course, this review is being written in 2020 and the question is, would I recommend this game today? And the answer is, yes, yes and yes! The drawbacks that keep it at an 8 all have to do with aspects of the game that have to do with it's age it came out. Of course, it's not for everyone and if you are easily offended stay the hell away.     hace unos días este juego cumplió 20 años de su lanzamiento. Este juego es muy bueno, lo que me fastidia es como tenemos que pasar los diversos puntos del mapa pero lo bueno es que es divertido porque podemos orinar en las personas y poner un gato en nuestra escopeta y matar personas .

    If you're expecting a new Half-Life like FPS, you WILL be disappointed... if you know what this game is about, and are the kind of sick f*ck who wants to play it, you will absolutely LOVE it... (i did) it could've been more inovative tho, and did have the occasional problems... all in all, i give it a very strong 7/10.

    Ah yes, Postal 2, where to begin... This game is a strange mix of Duke Nukem humor, open world gameplay, and has some of the most bizarre characters I have ever seen. You know a game has to be good with an arsenal ranging from shovels, to the mighty napalm launcher. The controversy behind it makes it all the more enticing of a game. I grade this one down mostly on a fairly short campaign,Ah yes, Postal 2, where to begin... This game is a strange mix of Duke Nukem humor, open world gameplay, and has some of the most bizarre characters I have ever seen. You know a game has to be good with an arsenal ranging from shovels, to the mighty napalm launcher. The controversy behind it makes it all the more enticing of a game. I grade this one down mostly on a fairly short campaign, lack of multiplayer (look for the Share The Pain version for that,) some crashes and bugs, and not quite story-driven enough to be a non-linear game. However, these flaws do not make it a bad game. I doubt anyone, even I, would consider this a classic, and most likely, it never will be. Notwithstanding, however, it is still a fun and unique experience taken on other first person shooters of the time and of the day. I recommend giving it a try!… Expand

    Postal 2... can't be explained, must be experienced. The self-irony RWS put into this is amazing. This game is so bad that it becomes absolutely hilarious to play. A really fun game. Cant really be compared to any other game. Its a game in its own rights.

And I find this aspect to be seriously underrated by both official reviews and user made ones. It is also not often mentioned and quite noteworthy how the expansion Apocalypse Weekend and modding (in particular a very big mod called AWP made by a certain Kamek) really bring the game to a whole new level of addictiveness and gore for those who are into it, but it's mostly there for the laughs and the sake of exaggeration, don't get too offended for that, of all the possible dumb people who thought at that time that lame "kill Bin Laden" jokes could be funny (and subsequently made flash games and poor parodies about it) and people who think self-insertions are a good idea, these guys were probably the best ones. The result is a good game with some minor **** stains. Hell, it has Gary Coleman and tazmanian cats as gun silencers! Also... piss? (Oh, and by the way the AIs in this game are actually better than plenty of stupidly made AIs from much more famous games such as Skyrim, not much of a point but still worth mentioning)… Expand

    If not ,excessive violence, mild sex and language is used.
    This is the only game to really express humour as is with no apology and I am thankful for it.     I found this game more fun than playing some other games that were highly rated but were overhyped and not as good as the reviews made out.     The last time I played Postal 2 some years ago I was a much angrier person, and it resonated with me much more strongly. Now it makes me rather uncomfortable. There's shock value, and then there's Postal. It's disgusting, tasteless, and so South Park in it's morality that I'm sure are people out there who genuinely respect the Postal Dude and admire his sociopathic tendancies, wether they make him violent or not. Being hated is a common affliction, after all. Postal 2 is the game that loud-mouthed moral guardians complained about. It was made to mock, among many other things, Joe Lieberman's anti-violent videogame crusade in the 90s against games like Doom and the first Postal. Except that the first Postal, like its spiritual successor, Hatred, really IS a mass murder simulator. Hatred in particular, I hear, was made as a statement against art games and political correctness. Even Postal 2, which frames the Dude's adventure as an otherwise harmless week of daily chores (If you consider ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on your dad's grave to be harmless), is difficult to get through without killing quite a number of people. At least you can limit it to people who shoot you first. As it is, some of the things you can do to the unsuspecting populace are just plain mean.

    The trouble is, the game's mere existence is an example of why a lot of people don't take this medium seriously. It's a relic of PC gaming's teenage years. Plenty of games are as, or even more violent without relishing in immaturity for the sake of it. For an example of this done better, go play Bulletstorm, which is more creative both with its combat mechanics and its profanity- though it of course lacks the sandbox nature of Postal. On the other hand, its less likely to make you hate yourself then, say Grand Theft Auto, where, oddly enough, the citizens are actually more pleasant. People forget that the word "correct" is part of the phrase "politically correct". Though I think "morally justifiable" is more accurate. And many of the actions one can take in Postal 2 simply aren't. If you have to preface your game with a warning that not only should you not do these things, but we don't advocate them, maybe you went overboard, eh? I should note here that I dislike most of Grand Theft Auto for the same reasons- well, that and the godawful controls. At least Postal 2 handles well.

    At some level, I'm playing right into the hands of Running with Scissors with a review like this. They knew exactly what they were doing when they made this game and this kind of negativity only boosted their sales, and It wouldn't have made it on to Steam without a combination of that negative press and fun gameplay, not to mention an unhealthy amount of respect from the **** kiddies and regressionists.

    I enjoyed playing Postal 2 a second time, but I can't honestly recommend it to anyone without the good judgement not to take it seriously. There are enough people in real life like the Postal Dude that it's become kind of a problem.    … Expand

    What the violence and the trash content as well as toilet humour in this game does is offuscate the lack of game art section and put a rag upon the boring game world and storyline.
    The sarcasm, satire and the overall fun of the content barely makes it worth playing.

    Dude this **** is really racist and horrible. Its 'sense of humor' a lot of the time comes out of me being dumb and going on *very tactical* rampages. The game is fun, but damn it's edgy.

    I've been having a LOT of fun with it. I seriously don't know if i'd call it good....its kinda bad....offensive and bad....but it's addictive and a lot of fun.

Overall the game's pace is what keeps it from becoming enjoyable all the time since action is only available in setpieces, while you can cause mayhem in the open streets, much of it just devolves into pissing and killing people till you hit the next loading screen. And the Apocalypse Weekend portion of the game is so dragged out and stretched that I almost gave up on the game. The shooting mechanics work really well for the time and the weapons and their feel to use are on point despite the hit detection not always being on point. Postal 2 deserves its cult following but only because it parodies everything that wants to be politically correct, and I had good laughs while doing playing.… Expand

    But this game is worth playing. It's controversial fun. Set people on fire, kick around their dead bodies before pissing on them. If you can't look past the technical issues, you're not playing this game the right way.

    The idea is that while trying to complete these simple errands, you are so inconvenienced by what you encounter that you simply will opt to pull out a machine gun and start taking people out. The reality is that you're usually just dealing with a line of a few people. Besides how superficial everyone in the game you encounter is, I didn't really feel like the violent route was the only way to complete the game's tasks. However, if you don't go the violent route, you are in for a really boring game.

    This poor attempt at the illusion of choice was underwhelming, but I decided to play the game the way it's meant to be played, and went all out with the arsenal of weapons the game provides. This proves to be pretty entertaining at first; while the gunplay in the game is mediocre at best (this is no AAA shooter), blowing people's heads off with a shotgun is pretty satisfying, as is pouring gasoline onto people and lighting it up. I even got a good chuckle out of pissing on people, things, and places, at least for a little while. The game definitely offers some inventive weapons that are satisfying to play with.

    The problem with Postal 2 is that this all gets old after a short time, and as previously implied, there isn't really a lot of freedom in the game. You'll find secret passages here and there, but it's nothing that other games haven't done before, and it's pretty bland here. The sexual innuendos used to name a lot of the game's locations are funny at first, but they tire out fairly quickly, and there is nothing more to the facade of the jokes other than the names themselves (there isn't additional content to explore).

    The missions really are just menial chores, which aren't much fun. Even if you decide to try to complete the whole game non-violently, the game throws random sequences at you that involve terrorists of various kinds, which are pretty much deux ex machinas, forcing intense action moments upon you whether you like it or not. The game would have been a lot more interesting had it provided some serious challenges that could be completed in various ways, which several other games out there offer.

    The last problem with Postal 2 is that the satire just isn't very smart. If you want some better sharp-edged satire, then something like the South Park RPGs would probably suit you better. The humor here is pretty juvenile, and while it was funny enough to make me laugh for the first while, it grows repetitive.

    Postal 2 had a lot of potential, but it just doesn't offer enough to be worth playing over other games in the same vein.    … Expand

    The game is like Quake 3 in graphics and if it came out two to 3 years ago that would be fine. It uses the Unreal 2 engine but not to great effect. Yes, it's graphic and its a bastard son of the GTA games except theres nothing to drive. People have said alot about the load times and yes it takes under 60 sec to load however sometimes you have to go through 6 or 7 zones in a mission The game is like Quake 3 in graphics and if it came out two to 3 years ago that would be fine. It uses the Unreal 2 engine but not to great effect. Yes, it's graphic and its a bastard son of the GTA games except theres nothing to drive. It's low brow and crude and some like that however the lack of humor other than immature and child like pee pee and cha cha jokes. Skins are ok but every woman has the same body and the damage system is very much lacking. Shoot someone in the leg or head the seem to take the same amount of damage. This game is for the crowd that either never gets it (you know what I mean) or hasn't had it in a long time. It's all tease but the tease is flawed by dated graphics, repetive load times and trying to rip off GTA games but with the class. Nothing is really funny other than RWS trying to be funny.     Postal 2, it's like a joke that starts off funny, but then you hear it so many times and you just want it to fry! That's exactly what the relationship between the first two were. What's the difference? It never was funny to start off with. That's how terrible Postal 2 is...

    No story, loading takes too much time (that could be my pc but it's an old game, right?) and after a time it gets boring, you get to learn that each and every time you finish something that is on your 'to-do' list, some bad guys will show up and then bam bam bam.

    Hey! This is a terrible game! It's like Conker's Bad Fur Day, except not funny and not fun. So basically, it's nothing like CBFD. The score you give this game is inversely porportional to your IQ. Idiots.

    This is definitely one of the worst games I have ever played. I bought it when it was on sale for 0,99€ and I regretted it after 5 minutes. The graphics are worse than an average game of 1998 and the controls are terrible. It is really, really boring and you will ask yourself what you are doing after a couple of minutes.
