Amazing portal mechanics and graphics for it's time. Amazing multiplayer mode (for those who have friends).

    The best pc game I have ever played. I'm not a giant fan of puzzle games / a game where you progres through different levels, but this was absolutely amazing. I can't think of any flaws

    Portal 2, like its predecessor, contains some of the best writing in games, but with a longer runtime can add to the complexity of its characters, environments, and puzzles. Unlike its predecessor, however, Portal 2 contains a much more emotional and complex story that is just as if not more satisfying than its former.

    Portal 2 is a must buy if you want to play some clever puzzles with a friend in Coop. The Single-player is fun and a good addition to the first game, but the main reason to play Portal 2 is the Coop with multiple default levels and a lot of additional through the Steam Workshop.

    I played co-op mode with my friend 10 years after the game was released. You could tell the graphics are a little bit dated, but the game is still amazing!

    It's original, fun, enticing, thought provoking, and so much more!

    I really wish portal 3 would come out!

    Possibly the greatest game ever made, literally flawless. Perfect levels and gameplay, great characters and atmosphere come together to make what might be the perfect game. Add multiplayer on top of all this and there may be nothing better.

    This game would be a perfect game if it was a bit shorter.
    Feels a bit fat.
    If you like puzzles it is not bad but at some point you want to improve with the story but game keeps giving you puzzles.
    Bigger and better than the first game in almost every way.

    A thoroughly enjoyable sequel which really takes off and brings back all the excellent memories from the first game. Some truly excellent characters and scenarios. I went into this game expecting more of the same from the previous game and it delivered so much more than that.. More diverse scenarios and locations, more characters and more than just Portals. Get it.. or regret it.

    Puzzle games aren't really well known for having fantastic characters or a great storyline that makes you think. But this one not only manages to get all of it right, but manages to somehow expand it and make it and even more incredible experience than it's predecessor. Which was already fantastic.

    This game is an absolute masterpiece. I've played this game around 5 times already and it's an absolute blast every time. The game has an amazing atmosphere and the world feels very real and lived in. The puzzles are really fun and clever because the individual mechanics are amazing and they work perfectly with the main portal mechanic established in the first game, that one was great butThis game is an absolute masterpiece.     I played this game back in 2011. Protracted atmosphere of absurdity, colorful characters that you love, even when they try to kill you. It's a magnificent plot. Honestly, that's the kind of story I never expected from a puzzle game.

    They did the best they could by having to expand the runtime and the mechanics and the story/world for the sequel. But I think the original is the superior experience because it is more focused.

    The level design is still excellent, dialogues still funny, and the story is developed much further to explain who/what is Glados and what is the training center.     Playing portal 2 I felt a feeling that I felt with just another game, that is, to applaud in front of the screen, because it was fun, smart and above all WITH VERY BEAUTIFUL SONGS.
    The graphics remain wonderful despite being from 2011 (apart for the shadows)

    How can I describe this game? Simply AMAZING. Anything I could say is: think big and be open to other points of view. It will be useful to solve the hardest puzzles. The story is even greater than the first game and GLaDOS' acid humor is the best part, specially in the final credits. PLEASE, PLAY THIS GAME AND PORTAL 1 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

    What an adventure it was! The characters in this game are incredibly silly, sarcastic and sometimes even adorable. The story was awesome from start to end and even the outro was iconic. Puzzles are challenging but not super hard, you will spend a good amount of time thinking about your strategy to finish each level. The AI/Robots are super well implemented in the game and the main NPC´sWhat an adventure it was! The characters in this game are incredibly silly, sarcastic and sometimes even adorable. The story was awesome from start to end and even the outro was iconic. Puzzles are challenging but not super hard, you will spend a good amount of time thinking about your strategy to finish each level. The AI/Robots are super well implemented in the game and the main NPC´s feel like real humans with a personality and humor. I wish the story would have been double as long as it is, because I had a blast playing it. I also played CO-OP with some of my friends and I would highly recommend doing that too! You need good coordination and teamwork to achieve your goal. It´s impossible to not have a good time while playing with friends, since the puzzles are very well planned for two people and it´s hilarious to see your partner fail while a sarcastic robot makes jokes about the two of you! Looking forward to try out the community-maps!

    I highly recommend playing this game, it´s timeless and I definitely don´t regret playing it in 2020! One of my new All-Time-Favorites!

    Portal and Portal 2 are simply the best in their genre. It has never been so much fun for me to really strain my brain.

    Portal is clearly addictive!

    The game has a great story, awesome gameplay and even multiplayer / co-op
    and also a hamma graphic.

    Clear recommendation

    Warning this game can lead to brain overheating.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This was amazing. I enjoyed every second of this game. A perfect sequel of the first game, which expands upon laid out mechanics from the first game. The story was amazing and after the twist where Wheatley (I think that's the name) I thought it would end fairly soon (due to the length of the first game). BUT NOPE! I hadn't even reached halfway through. I felt that the introduction of the gel made the puzzle element of the game a lot more puzzling. Great value, 10/10.… Expand

    There are a lot of things to love about Portal 2, the voice acting is fantastic, the writing is genuinely funny, the game has a lot of creativity and well executed ideas as well as the very interesting setting of the game. I will admit though, that the game seriously drags on during the last third of the game and starts to feel very repetitive.     Игра великолепна!Я не играл в Portal но попробовал Portal 2!Я **** и не могу говорить что вторая часть хуже первой,и не собираюсь.Игра мне очень понравилась!
    Она наполнена саркастическими шутками,и да головоломки не очень сложные но иногда заставляют пораскинуть мозгами.

    Let me get this straight, Portal 2 is a good game. But the fact that this game is a sequel to the original is why the score is so low.

    Why it is the worst sequel I've ever played:
    I cannot take Portal 2 seriously at all. I don't understand why valve would do this to the Portal series. How does this mix in with the original? If I were to look at a screenshot of the escape levels in
    Portal 2, I should be able to say "That looks like something from Portal", but Portal 2 went with it's own style which was a big mistake. Portal's behind the scenes areas were supposed to look like maintenance rooms with nice orange and beautiful atmospheric lighting. Portal 2 messes that up and I still have the same atmosphere as if I were in a test chamber.

    All walls in Portal are supposed to be held by panels while other walls like the metal (non-portalable) textures in the test chamber are actually just blocks. Some metal walls even had light holes in them. But for some reason Portal 2 has change everything to robotic arms. Portal already had panels and some of the could even turn using joints. Why did valve choose to use robots instead of machines? I don't want to feel like the facility is made of robots.

    Elevators in Portal 1 are way better than Portal 2, for some reason everything in Portal 2 is transferred by a tube. In Portal, they look more futuristic especially because it is being held by a beam. Portal 2 tries to make their elevators look cool by putting random buttons and random crap on it.

    For a sequel, it gets a 3/10
    I would rather valve call this a game that is not a sequel to portal but rather puzzles with portalgun.

    Now lets look at the merits of Portal 2:
    Has a long campaign and takes us to the backstory of Portal. The graphics are good.

    Good plot and I won't say that Portal has a better plot than Portal 2. But I will say that Portal tells their story better in a very satisfying and unique way.

    Portal 2 has an official, working and functional cooperative.

    Portal 2 also has a user-friendly map editor, you can make maps for cooperative or singleplayer.

    For the game it self, 8/10. But it still gets a general 3/10 because valve says this is a sequel.    … Expand

    This game does not only have witty puzzles and a coherent story, but it also has great one-liners and sarcastic humour.

This is the only game I'd show someone who has never played a video game and wants to know what all the hype is about. To me it is the perfect encapsulation of the fun that is gaming.

    And with Portal 2, it's not just the gameplay. The    Portal 2 is one of the greatest video games of all time.     And with Portal 2, it's not just the gameplay. The gameplay is of course amazing with many very innovative additions to Portal 1 (in itself pretty close to a perfect game). But Portal 2 is a more complete game than even its predecessor, and a large part of that is due to how it weaves in the story, the dialogue, with the gameplay so, so well. It's genuinely funny, a true comedy game. There is a sense of narrative progression, but without it getting in the way of the gameplay, the super fun puzzles. And the puzzles themselves are often difficult and require problem-solving and creativity, leaving you feeling very rewarded when you crack them.

    What more can I say? This game is art, it's a masterpiece. It's video game perfection and a credit to the medium.    … Expand

    Great game. Story is very nicely continuing from first game, building upon what player already knows with few callbacks that brought smile upon my face. Puzzles do start slow, clearly explaining every mechanics to player and reward players later for using the same methods. in second part you start doing some mind bending crazy stunts which are really satisfying.     In 35+ years of gaming since the original Atari, it's rare I can rate a game a 10, this is one of them. Beware, it's puzzle oriented so this is not for everyone. I suggest playing the first one before the 2nd though.

    It's been said in a million ways how amazing this game is, all I really want to tell you is that this game has not dated one bit. It's still as golden as it was on first release. Please, if you haven't given it a chance yet - or if you wish to relive the mind-bending experience don't hesitate.

    A very interesting puzzle game with a portal system. Very beautiful surroundings and simply excellent comments of artificial intelligence. This game is a masterpiece.

    This game series is a classic. It helps with 4th dimensional thinking, and puzzle solving. There are a lot of fun failures and when you solve a level you feel like you have achieved something. This game is one of the staples in all of gaming history. A must for any gamer.

    This game is filled to the brim with witty dark humor and interesting puzzles that take advantage with the amazing mechanics. The game perfectly expands on the lore of the first game. The co-op is a fun way to share the experience with a friend. One of my favorites of all time.

    Era para ser apenas mais jogo de puzzles, até que inseriram uma história divertida e intrigante. Afinal, qual o propósito de resolver puzzles? Praticar sua lógica e memória. Bem, não nesse game. Aqui você é um mestre em fugas, o melhor de todos.

    This game takes everything from the first Portal, which was already amazing, and makes it even better. This game is really incredible, easily the best puzzle game I can think of. Everyone should play this.

    Almost as good as the first one. Main reasons are lack of cake, unfunny Wheatley and slightly boring one-solution middle-levels. Otherwise Portal 2 is as clever as it is well written. And now Half-Life 2: Ep 3, please. [May 2011]

    The graphics may not be of the same caliber of other AAA titles, and the story may falter from time to time, but those are paltry excuses not to experience one of the best current generation games around.
