Sep 25, 2020A good management game with superb visuals, offering enough freedom to let you build your own merchant empire in the Caribbean to your heart’s content.

Sep 25, 2020All in all, Port Royale 4 is a surprisingly good game. It has a very broad scope, and its large management tools are benefited from an expansive map full of cities as a playground. In an era desperately short of good management games, this colonial Caribbean title is a breath of fresh air.

Sep 25, 2020Old-school trading simulation with clumsy handling. The real-time sea battles of the predecessors have been replaced with turn based combat.
-
Sep 25, 2020Port Royale 4 is ambitious and delivers in most regards, leading to a well rounded and beautifully choreographed world. The green tropical islands seem to breathe with life and purpose, a purpose that you influence through a variety of means, whether through trade, nationalism or just blatant piracy.

May 13, 2020It’s a very pretty game and built well for being a beta and while there were some glitches and bugs like freezing on menus, there wasn’t anything that made me hate it. This is a game that has a lot of potential for itself. It’s a game that was able to pull me (someone who is picky with most things) in and keep my interest in it. Port Royale 4 is a game that was a quaint and intriguing surprise for me, and I’m quite OK with that.
