A spectacular concept and visual storytelling, spectacularly undermined by a flippant and obnoxious voiceover personality. This could have been more if it had endeavored to create a calm, enigmatic narrative to match the feel of the game. Instead, we're forced to listen to Wheatley from Portal 2: reincarnated, but still imagining he is God.

Despite its interesting philosophical concept, Pneuma ultimately doesn’t do anything to elevate itself above being an average first-person puzzle-based adventure.

It tries to be like The Talos Principle, but it plainly doesn’t reach it on any level, neither philosophically nor in terms of puzzles or immersion.

Pneuma: Breath of Life provides an interesting male lead, a gorgeous backdrop, and unique puzzles solved through the powers of perception. However, it fails to provide a nuanced story, and the one it delivers finishes much too soon.
