    It's a shame. The game play for this game is exceptional. Great concept and executed quite well. It has a very steep learning curve. It is a shame that it was overshadowed by so many bugs and glitches and cheaters early on. I personally did not experience the cheaters when I started playing Jan 2018, so that may have been resolved. I did however have to deal with consistent crashing in myIt's a shame. The game play for this game is exceptional. Great concept and executed quite well. It has a very steep learning curve. I personally did not experience the cheaters when I started playing Jan 2018, so that may have been resolved. I did however have to deal with consistent crashing in my game. I went back and forth for a month between amd, pubg corp and forms online to try and sort out the issues, but at the end of the day I could not resolve the problem.

    I am running a amd fx 8350, Radeon R9 270x and windows 7 64 with graphics settings all the way down.

    So at least the support staff was prompt and polite. As of posting this however, the problem is still occurring. Neither player unknown battleground or steam would refund the money which was unethical as it was a fully released game that was effectively unplayable.

    I might come back to the game once the bugs are fixed and will rerate at that time. End of the day the devs rushed a beta into production just to be front of the races for the battle royale craze and they did it on the backs of a lot of unsuspecting gamers who paid $40 for a nun functional game.    … Expand

    This game has made very little progress in a years time...Aside from adding a poorly optimized map and a few items, PUBG continues to disappoint with a subpar tick-rate, constant FPS drops, and hackers in the majority of games I've played in recent weeks. A region lock on China would be nice...but Bluehole Entertainment does not seem to want to listen to its already depleted playbase.     General Idea of this game is extremely fresh and great. This will be a new Genre of Games, but PUBG will not be on the forfront of this Genre. The developers cant handle this game.
    1.0 Release and still a lot of Bugs, Crashes and Server Problems.
    EU Servers even went out for 6 hours, its a mess.

    Game idea is prefect , game play is good , the problem is on servers and bugs rollback , i hope you work on it , we spend about 30$ to buy the game + buy a new pc to play in good condition , i also hope you optimize the game to play with more fps . Thanks

    This game has way too much lag and server issues. It is updated often but I can't get past the fact that it's only popular because a bunch of streamers caught on to it. It's more of a fad game that will fade away and not be remembered. I ended up refunding this game after a few hours of playing.

    So I have played it a lot and now I can clearly say that with all that♥♥♥♥♥♥such as lags, crashes, bad servers, cheaters, bad optimization (here its a bit better than in DayZ but still♥♥♥♥♥♥) PUBG is one of the worst games I ever played!

    UPD: Well, now after release of the game I need to update my review. And to be honest I see no need to do so. May be this all will be fixed some time later but again to be honest I still cant recommend you this game.

    Don't believe the hype. It's a janky, messy game and I wish I'd bought it directly through Steam so I could refund it (which is what you should do if you want to try it).

    This game is OK. It feels and plays like a beta version. All of the assets appear to be from the unity store. The game is very poorly optimized and needs a decent bit of hardware to run well consistently.

    Much of the game play is avoiding other players which can be fun... if you ever run into any, the maps are WAY too large for how many people are on the map.

    While you can play other games with sub 30 ping if you live in California, you will always play with 90+ ping when you play PUBG. In addition to their 18hz server tick rate. People will shoot you before you can see them, kill you behind corners, get a drop on you without you being able to react in time... if you played TF2 or CS:GO on 60hz+ servers you will feel the sludge almost immediately.

    Deathcam really shows just how out of sync the game is between players, it creates an experience where your skills are irrelevant. Both horrid ping and low performance servers add up to infuriating gameplay.

    If Bluehole has any chance of saving this game - let the community host the servers. It could be an excellent game this way. Have your skins and loot boxes on your own servers, but let the gameplay servers be hosted at a financial loss by people who want to love this game.    … Expand

    Idiocrazy is the only logical reason I find for its gigantic success.

Performance wise, you have a tic-rate of no more than 17 causing horrendous server performance because, guess what, they developed it on the Unreal 4 engine with too large of a player base for it to handle. That being said, Fortnite runs the same engine and same player numbers and is at least able to run a stable 18 tic rate. When I said 17, I meant you'll basically cross that threshold, re-cross it, and then cross it again in what will amount to a graph looking like the skyline of the Himalayan mountain range. Instability. But oh man, you finally got that one game that runs alright, and things are finally looking up! Oh but the loot crate hoarder from Asia with a 400ms ping speedhacks up to you, kills you with a recoil hack, and then speeds away with your loot. Even when your buddies shoot at him to avenge your death, the client-side only hit detection gives him the advantage with a high-ping and they can't hit him either. "Git good bro" is the SJW's recommendation. You report SpeedyHackerino to the SJW, and your report is looked at 5 months later, as you notice the email is finally sent to you notifying you of such. A 3 day ban is awarded, and SpeedyBingBing is back at it. Hardware bans are racist says the SJW as he laughs while shopping for a new **** on Amazon with your money, soon after coming over here to MetaCritic to pay for that artificial reviewer score of 85.
    I'll give this game one point for concept. I'll give it another for potential, and even another for the small glimpses of actual fun that can occur when you're not being plagued with server performance issues, hackers/cheaters, or hearing the developer run his mouth about how your opinions are morally wrong in between forging one-eyed purple headed warriors with his chocolate starfish.    … Expand

    I bought this during early access while Pewds was playing. It was fun and challenging while everyone was a newb. Today the group loads take longer to get to 100, you are mixed in with pros (so you die quickly), and it's full of cheaters. In short, not fun anymore. It was a thrill to face real people as deadly enemies, and satisfying to win a gunfight. Now you only face people who spendI bought this during early access while Pewds was playing. It was fun and challenging while everyone was a newb. Today the group loads take longer to get to 100, you are mixed in with pros (so you die quickly), and it's full of cheaters. In short, not fun anymore. It was a thrill to face real people as deadly enemies, and satisfying to win a gunfight.     Pros: Great realistic graphics and lightning. Great sound - gun shots, foot steps, etc. Also sometimes it's quite fun to play.
    Cons: Game is hardcore. Damage model is way too hard. It takes very little time to kill or to be killed. I think it's the main purpose why Fortnite became much more popular.
    I think they should add kind of an arcade mode to make the game less harder to master.

    Played the game since the first early access release on Steam - back during that times, me and many others would forget all the flaws the game had, the mediocre looks while also having very bad performance, terrible car physics, terrible buggy parachute, desync and million other small things that one would expect to be fixed in the upcoming months.

    Sadly, 2 years later, the game is still in a terrible state and only thing that really improved at least a little bit is performance. The game is now long past its "1.0" release and still feels like the alpha version i originally bought.
    I feel like the game is not gonna live for much longer as its being overshadowed by better alternatives like Fortnite and soon to be released Call of Duty Black Ops 4.    … Expand

    PUBG is one of those games you're waiting to see AAA studio make. And EA has already hinted that they are seriously looking at taking this design further in next BattleField. Please EA, do it. I can't believe I am rooting for EA to do something well. Go DICE!

    The designer of this game is a brilliant dude, when it comes to design, he is a terrible community manager, awful technician, and an abnoxious public personality. When asked to region lock China (where 99% of cheaters come from) he called his NA community xenophobic. Never-mind that playing with people who cannot speak your language in a game where communication is not optional - completely ruins the experience.

    He ignores everything that annoys the community - the unfinished Miramar map, which should really be used as an example of how not to do maps, is forced on the player. There is no option to select the map, and because a lot of people don't want to play on it - it creates an over abundance of open servers with Miramar. Prepare yourself for a lot of Miramar - which comes with virtually undrivable terrain, busted loot and facilitates running more than running simulator does.

    Even after the game has been "fully" released netcode still sucks, although its not unplayable anymore. Loot field is filled with useless items like clothes (WHY!?! What does this add except blocking other items from being picked up?). Melee weapons are a checklist item - hardly anyone uses any of it outside of occasional gif clip on reddit. If you're used to awesome Battlefield melee system - you'll be in shock. Melee in PUBG is like drunken boxing where both parties will need to have their stomach pumped in the morning. Netcode is sluggish, molassy, unresponsive mess. If you're used to TF2 or Counterstrike - this game will feel broken. You'll be confused and irritated - as to why your shots dont land and why you've died running 5 feet behind a corner to a guy who should not be able to see you.

    Vehicles still flip at random on flat terrain. Glitches and messed up textures are everywhere. LOD does not seem to have been crafted beyond default Unreal Engine auto-lod. Hit registration is horrible, you'll routinely end up thinking you've hit the guy, and will see blood but when watching replay - you either never fired the gun or you've never hit the other player.

    Sound is insanely confusing and more often than not makes no sense - because its seemingly coming from a random direction.

    And lets not forget the stupid crates. Bluehole is bent on selling you crates. You thought EA was crate-obsessed? You're wrong - Bluehole is the new king of crate peddling - to a point where is an entire economy around it now (primarily from China) full of cheaters who only play to win the games, get the points, buy the crates, and re-sell items on the market.

    In conclusion I'd advise to wait for a AAA studios to make better versions of this game. It would suck if your first Battle Royale experience was as bad as PUB. Looking forward to DICE efforts.    … Expand

You get no rewards for playing this game, except loot crates and most of them requires a key to be opened so pretty much no rewards at all. ICheaters, monotony, some bugs and lots of crashes - these things are the main content of this game. It's absolute boredom to play it alone/solo. It's quite fun to play in squad but only for a limited time. Eventually, it's starts to get boring. You get no rewards for playing this game, except loot crates and most of them requires a key to be opened so pretty much no rewards at all. I honestly can't understand why ppl so obsessed with this game. With 100 players you can't distribute them somewhat evenly!? Wth? Oh yeah, and you got your teamkillers, toxic people and cheaters too. In case you want that in a game. Enjoy!

    It used to be a good game but not now. It's now full of micro transactions, servers are bad and I myself feel the lack of MMR. Also with 1070, sometimes the frame rate drops to 50. I do not recommend you to buy this game now. Maybe they fix it later.

After March of 2018 however that's when this game started to begin it's own inevitable death. With the combination of hackers and micro transactions to obtain more unique gear(thank god not weapons) made this game even more frustrating than before.     While I love the idea, it's still missing many things like ballbanging or a proper use of netcode. Very annoying to be matched with people that their ping is 100+, makes it unplayable. While stability and general performance was improved a bit, it's still a long way to go through.

It can be filled with running from house to house in search of better gear, driving or running long distances without ever seeing someone until the end when the circle gets smaller.

    This game separate two types of gamers. A type of rich gamers, they have a high performance PC. And the rest of the gamers, who has a normal - low performance PC. In some game, that's what make difference between the winner and the losers.

    There's a steep learning curve if you are new but the game is easy to understand and play. First person mode works well and the guns feel and sound good but the hackers and grass despawning through scope need to be dealt with.

    If you want to play comfortably you need really good computer with good GPU.
    optimization sucks. Seriously even good PC might fall below 60 fps. Also is not much content in game, so if you don't like basic game there is nothing else to do. Another con i see is randomness. Lots of camping in solo, body armor teir 2 and up doesn't even slow bullet damage at all, There is so much server lag it infuriates me, wished I never purchased the game. If you somehow survive to where the 16 tick rate server starts to recover, a hacker will find and kill you instantly, possibly through a wall.

    How is it acceptable that a competitive FPS game has so many bugs, glitches, poor servers and hackers? But the critics say it's wonderful - WTF?

    Don't waste your money on this garbage, if you must burn ~$30 go buy a brick and smash your head repeatedly, it's more fun.    … Expand

As for the game; the score should tell you everything you need to know; it's a giant pile of crap making horrible Western devs rich.

    The gun play is good enough.
    The bugs are rampant.
    There are hackers.
    The server tick rate is abysmal.
    Players get an advantage by playing on the lowest settings, no grass to hide in...

    In the end i still enjoyed myself, but if you're like me, pick this up on sale and only if you have friends to play with.

    I think that this is truly a unique game and I would recommend that if you are a fan of this type of genre then I think you should give this game a try.

    Sorry, but the gunplay is bad, the graphics is a joke and there is absolutely no reason or mativation to Play this Thing.

    It looks like a game from 15 years ago, and while I am not fixated on graphics, this is just too terrible to be played in 2018.

    And the gunplay is very wobbly and outdated.

    This game has a split personality, it swings wildly from being nothing but irritating and frustrating to being the most exciting game you have ever played.. My advice, play it with someone either in squads or in a duo with voice communication.. it it much better then going in solo..

    Broken hitbox Lagging servers Toxic players uncomfortable (sh*t) FPS controls Bad optimization peeking from corners with a gun is a nightmare. gunplay feels like a airsoft fight. visibility is horrible. the game is "relased" (it's v1.0) but it's still feels like an alpha version. Multiplayer game of the year? And this going to be E-sport?    This game... feels bad to play....

    Basically a worse version of Fortnite, there's no reason you buy it to be sincerely honest.

    It has everything you hate about Fortnite (Including the fanbase) and more. If you buy it, you are a pigeon.

    Sehr kompetetiv, jedoch von Bugs übersäht und in den teilweise riesigen Patches werden Sachen eingeführt die niemand braucht. Die Grafik ist toll sowie auch der generelle Druck der auf einem Spieler lastet da man nie weiß ob man sicher ist.

    A perfectly viable time-waster. A fun game to play with friends, provided that the long loading times, loads of bugs and glitches, and the toxic community don't deter you.

    Как и любую другую он-лайн игру, портят читеры. Здесь они полным ходом набирают обороты. Игра хорошая, графика, все мне нравится. Только анти чит работает отвратительно! Уже в наглую на ютуб видео с читами выкладывают.

    The whole madness around PUBG is well-deserved. This is the best possible praise for this great battle-royale-genre shooter. What a pity there are so many bugs, mad vehicle physics and occasional cheaters, but it bothers you only for a while. When you frantically get into the hectic, slightly frightening struggle for life and death you’ll forget anything else.
