A worthy sequel to the classic franchise in every way. Tight control, innovative single-arm abilities, and huge, ambient, varied environments to explore.

Pitfall has enough charm to win me over, even if linear platformers are a bit dated. [Jan 2005, p.81]
  4. Though it features a few more annoying control restrictions than its console counterparts, it's still a solid platformer.
  5. Fills a void on the PC, that gray area between Freddy Fish and "Half-Life 2."
  6. Standard fare, neither horrible nor amazing.

Add in a console-style save system that only lets you save progress at the start of a level, and you've got a guaranteed recipe for infuriation. [Jan 2005, p.96]
