It's a classic console RPG mixed with a classic point-and-click-style adventure game.
-
The type of game that makes you want to dust off that green felt cloak and curl up with a sack of dice.
-
The PSN has already seen several fantastic additions this year (Wipeout HD and echochrome are two examples), and although this one isn’t quite amongst the elite, it’s still well worth your time.
-
Between the quality of the content and the release schedule so far, this is probably one of the finest examples of episodic video gaming out there, though it's still susceptible to one of the format's implicit pitfalls--if it doesn't stay interesting, players won't keep coming back. For now, at least, the keen sense of silliness is enough to keep things interesting.
-
It certainly isn’t greatly superior to its predecessor, but it is an overall better experience and is easily one of the best RPGs on the PS3. I wait patiently for the inevitable third demolition of my home.
-
Episode Two is still thoroughly ridiculous and amusing, but compared to the first episode it pales, feeling much more like a stop-gap than a fully-fledged follow-up.
-
Penny Arcade Episode 2 has the same humor and frantic combat of the previous game, but its devotion to the absurd will alienate some people.
