Oct 17, 2015they ruined the game by adding weapon skins and pay2win stats. no wonder many people wrote bad reviews to the game!! signed up just to write what i think btw
-
Oct 17, 2015now that i think about it, this game is exactly my ex-girlfriend. they lied to me, they cheated me, they took all of my money, they wasted a year and a half of my life, they gave me **** promises and when they are broken, they never apologies, their birthdays are in October, like holy crap when i see the name payday2 the words change to alyssa, i broke up with her, time to brake up with payday2
-
Oct 17, 2015'' The developer promised NO MICROTRANSACTIONS
What they do? micros for content that gives you stats and turning it in a pay to win game. And this was released during an event that was suppose to release free stuff.
I'm done with it.''
I agree, they ruined the game. -

Oct 17, 2015They promised no microtransactions and added them "for the great community". Don't help milking this cash cow! The game was fun, but these paid stat-boosting skins ruined the whole game!

Oct 19, 2015Stay the hell away from this game AND Overkill. It's really not worthy of your time or attention dear Customer, unless you like being deceived, lied to, ripped off and then politely asked to shut up about it.
-
Oct 29, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015Developer promised no microtransactions and betrayed the community. Just one of a string of events that caused me to stop playing. Save your time for a dev that appreciates you.
-
Oct 26, 2015Was fun at first. Then started milking community with poor quality DLC's then want to milk the community with micro transactions. The reason for MT is for better content but have continually released poor content.

Nov 14, 2015aaaaaaaaaaaand I am done. COP turned out to be absolute bull. Microtransactions give already well off devs more money. No more. goodbye, 560 hours of my life.
-
Nov 14, 2015Overkill does nothing but lie to their customers and rip them off. Do not support them. The micro transactions are bs because they promised they would never add them. The game has become pay2win.
-
Nov 15, 2015A once decent game let down by developers who are either incompetent or just outright dishonest. If you like the idea of seeing most weapons, heists and masks held behind as DLC on top of microtransactions for skins with stat boosts, Payday 2 is for you.
-
Nov 15, 2015I purchased the base game, then every DLC up to the BBQ Pack. This is a great game, but at a certain point it just isn't affordable, and now there is more than just the monthly DLC. I am unhappy with the way that Overkill has managed the content updates for this game.
I will update this review at a point that I WOULD recommend this game. -
Nov 15, 2015Want to know what the best example of bad business practices by a game dev is? You're looking at it. Seriously, never before has any game community/dev relationship gone south this quickly... and for a damn good reason.
-
Nov 16, 2015
-
Nov 15, 2015Was pretty decent despite engine limitations, until micro transactions and donation begging started. Not to mention the lying about DLC and the inclusion of MT's.
-
Nov 16, 2015Just a big NOPE after Greedfest 2015, adding MT and the COP dlc fiasco. It's sad that because core game is good, but the **** around it makes it hard to enjoy.
-
Nov 16, 2015
-
Nov 16, 2015Overkill have **** the whole community over with update after update after update. The community outrage has been insane and how do overkill respond? More microtransactions.
-
Nov 16, 2015A good game that has been degraded into a money making scheme by greedy devs. Milking the gamers, first with almost monthly dlc containing the best weapons and perks. Now a crate system which means spending money for a random item that may or may not improve your weapons.
-
Nov 18, 2015This game has completely been ruined by overkills greed and terrible business decisions
I had racked up over 700 hours into this game but I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone -
Nov 18, 2015Why on God's green earth would they add microtransactions? Seriously, the game is raking the dough as it is, you have to add THOSE as well? Geez. Oh and now of course the thing that cost 20 bucks and was supposed to be cosmetic only has stat boosts.
**** you, Overkill. -
Dec 7, 2015Overkill promised loud and clear "no micro-transactions, instead they popped out dlcs non-stop. I was ok with that because I could still play the dlc heists and did not care much about the dlc guns. After making the game w/ all dlcs cost more than 100 dollars (more than any AAA game at launch) they decided to release non-cosmetic micro-transactions. Stat boosts per say.
-

-
Oct 18, 2015A higher score review is in a special safe. Which is a random drop. And you need to buy a drill to open it for $2.50. And even then the score is random and might require separate DLC to use.
-
Oct 17, 2015
-
Oct 18, 2015game was ruined by greedy, incompetent developers. don't waste your money on this pay to win garbage. the game is a buggy mess of dlc and microtransactions
-
Oct 17, 2015
-
Oct 18, 2015Very greedy and shameless lying developers, don't even give them a buck.
For those that don't know the company added microtransactions and trading economy system to the game introducing a more toxic community. -
Oct 18, 2015
-
Oct 19, 2015Overkill lied, cheated and executed cheap business tactics, all for the money. Great game but experience has been ruined by developers. Overkill claimed that they are " discussing this problems with our staffs and community members", but I personally think they are considering whether to impale us deeper with their blade of treachery and deceit.
-
Oct 20, 2015This backlash is an incredibly good thing. I'm pleasantly surprised how vigilant this community is - and as far as I'm concerned, this is the correct way to respond against any other developer and publisher that wants to take advantage of their community.

Oct 17, 2015Developpers just kill the game adding the microtransactions. This used to be one of the greatest game I ever play and I had recommended it countless time. Now, it's just a piece of crap like cs:go.

Sep 14, 2013update 11 turned this game from a great game...to trash. Save you money and avoid it. Or if you still want something to do with 30 dollars that is more fin then this game now burn it, that way you can play with the fire....
-
Oct 17, 2015Added microtransactions by lying SOBs. Pay 2 win. Don't support lying developers who is more interested in their bottom line than customer satisfaction.

Oct 18, 2015Microtransactions, boys. Developer repeatedly promised not to add them. They did. It affects the gameplay as well, so they don't deserve anything more than a 0.
-
Oct 19, 2015This is the first and last product I'll buy from Overkill Softwares. I can no longer trust them after the screw-up of promises. They promised no microtransactions but added it. They promised all content of CRIMEFEST was free. it wasn't.
First and last. -
Oct 20, 2015Probably the worst game I ever played. I really cannot recommend this game any less. We have put up with a lot of bull crap over the years. Broken and delayed promises. Shovelware dlc. And a whole host of other things. But this really takes the cake. Uninstalling and never playing again. Hope overkill either changes or dies.

Oct 20, 2015I made an account just so i could say F**k You Overkill we don't want your pay to win micro-transaction. This used to be my favorite game but i just uninstalled it after this.
-
Oct 17, 2015it should be fairly obvious why i've decided to leave a negative review. just go read the other negative reviews and see for yourself how crappy this game has become.

Oct 18, 2015Microtransactions, the cancer of gaming. Before the new patch payday was a very good game even though it had too many DLCs. It is however hit with the cancer of gaming.
-
Oct 18, 2015Pay2Day has become a pay 2 win game. no only you have to pay for the game AND the DLCs, but you also have microtransactions.
better spend your money somewhere else -
Oct 20, 2015
-
Oct 25, 2015After Almir's recent unflinching stance on the horrid microtransactions and the Completely OVERKILL pack content being untruthful to the description, along with other offenses Overkill has made, I see no reason to support them further. Here's my farewell to the devolving studio - I look forward to their future projects, and wish their reputation a bitter end.
-
Nov 21, 2015
-
Nov 15, 2015They promised to never add microtransactions to the game when they launched it. But Overkill's greed was stronger, and with the last update they added a microtransaction market. It's so easy to destroy a good game.
-
Oct 21, 2015Free content is not micro-transactions. Even if you say micro-transactions are fine, there are numerous things that I will not go into detail here that they promised but not have yet shown up.
-
Oct 24, 2015im not buying a million dlc's and paying to open op certain things just to enjoy a rather good piece of gaming.. the game itself is great but not very enjoyable when you can barely buy basic equipment without spending real money from the base game..

Oct 25, 2015They released a game and then put in microtransactions after a few years. Seriously ruined an amazing game and broke the communities trust. Money grabbing nasties.
-
Oct 25, 2015Used to be a great game. I have at least 150 hours on record and have bought lots of the DLCs the published.
However, now it's completely ruined by microtransactions. Don't buy it! -
Oct 25, 2015
-
Oct 25, 2015Great coop, love the game. Hate the money grabbing rip off merchants at OVERKILL. Lying and cheating your community does not bring you benefits. If OVERKILL go back to their roots and engage and listen to their community, Payday can be made great again!
-
Oct 25, 2015Payday 2: Microtransactions edition 2015
Never forget: 15/10/2015, the beginning of crimefest, where it all started.
"Microtransactions will never be put in the game (shame on you if you thought otherwise!)"
And what does overkill release on the first day of crimefest? **** MICROTRANSACTIONS!
(Unlock the rest of this review with the Review DLC for $4.99) -
Oct 26, 2015Pre-Crimefest this would've been a Solid 9...but Micro transactions and unprofessional standards from OVERKILL makes this Below 0, Do NOT purchase this game
-
Oct 26, 2015After a ton of garbage DLCs, microtransactions has arrived in PD2 even though they promised not to implement such a thing.
Well, a bad user score is deserved! -
Oct 26, 2015What a shame.
- There will be no microtransactions, SHAME ON YOU IF YOU THOUGHT!
- The black market update adds microtransactions to keep overkill making DLCs.
10 million bucks outta 10. -
Oct 26, 2015The game is dead, the developers lie and don't give a damn about the players' feedback. Run away from this game as fast as you can, it's not worth the time/money.

-
Oct 26, 2015I LOVED this game SO much. It was amazingly fun. When overkill lied to us I was so sad. They said they wouldnt add microtransactions. They addes skins WITH STAT BOOSTS.
-
Oct 26, 2015While i enjoyed the game for some solid 400 hours, blowing around 100 bucks of cash, it is no time for me to uninstall this piece of crap, which whom OVERKILL wants to cash in with microtransactions, dlc and lies.
-
Oct 26, 2015Only, if only, game publishers take this as a sign that micro-transactions will not be tolerated or at least plainly communicated before implementation.
-
Oct 26, 2015I appreciate honesty from the people I give my money to. It was a great game, but I cannot possibly recommend a game whose developers act in such a shady manner. If you say no microtransactions, don't add microtransactions. And even if you do, pay2win is never ok.
-
Oct 26, 2015The developers promised no micro-transactions and now they have added micro-transactions. Don't buy this game, the developers don't care about you and just want your money.
-
Oct 26, 2015Do you like buying games? Do you like buying DLC for games so that a company can bring you GREAT FREE CONTENT that you have to PAY FOR? Then this game is for you! Seriously though the devs behind this game do not care about their players only about making money, do not purchase any OVERKILL games ever again.
-

Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015The developers just added microtransactions - Skins you can buy for 2,50€ with certain drop chances. The problem is, these skins give stat boosts, which you can not acquire in another way.
-
Oct 26, 2015
-
Oct 26, 2015The developers decided to completely screw over the entire fan-base, with no remorse. What hurts the most is that the "PR Manager" if you could call him that, "Almir", decided he would pour gasoline onto the fire at the end of it all, with no apologies, basically telling the hardcore fans they don't matter, and that he's happy with the changes they made.
Never. Again. -
Nov 14, 2015Overkill managed to destroy the game. They had a huge community with them. They had all they would dream of. Now they destroyed the game with P2W microtransactions and "balance". Dont even let me start on Completely Overkill Pack.
Dont buy this game, dont support developers like them. In the end, they only care about the money. -
Nov 14, 2015Devs lied to us about microtransactions and made a lot of DLCs explainin they need money. Spoiler : they got 6 million dollars or more with just the game(?)
-
Nov 14, 2015Why not just bring a bad game's score down even lower if it truly deserves it? The developers decided to ruin the game one day, and they did a very good job at it.
-
Nov 14, 2015Microtransaction, and the Play to win system that ruins the game for most...it Just too Much. Not to Mention the Completely Overkill pack Ripoff that depressed the most Loyal fans that bought it...enough is enough.
-
Nov 14, 2015
-
Nov 15, 2015I feel bad for new players, because this game was pretty fun before the micro-transactions and **** DLC.
PAYDAY 2 has become a shake for money, and OVERKILL really doesn't care about their fans. -
Nov 15, 2015The core game is very solid, especially with friends. But as the game aged, it has become a poorly optimised DLC fest, with a very unbalanced micro-transaction system.
-
Nov 15, 2015The core game itself is good. However, Overkill has implemented pay2win micro transactions in a game where the base cost of the game plus all additional DLCs exceed that of AAA games.
-
Nov 15, 2015I dont know what to say
A game filled with bugs, DLC's and now micro-transactions.
Avoid this game like cancer. Coincidentally cancer and payday 2 are similar now.
Avoid buying this, just buy anything else, it's better.

Oct 9, 2013PayDay 2 is one of the nicest surprises of the year. Overkill Software understands the atmosphere of gangster movies and wisely improves these pieces of gameplay, that might have been disappointing in the first game. The sequel is better in almost every way - you can play a thief and enjoy good character development and shooting systems. I really hope, that PayDay 3 will be even better.
