I would write a full review, but this website is broken. Awesome game, spent 120 hours over 2 months beating this, and I would do it again.

In the context of today's classic crpg - this game is the most classic. With each new passage you come across new mechanics and quests. In general, the game is worth your attention =^-^=

Great game, with a few game breaking mechanics that make this game best for PC, where you can get a save game edit mod.

First, writing is top notch, with really interesting characters. It's definitely the old style with no handwalking. You'll see a lot of the negative reviews talking about how the quest log wouldn't tell them what to do next, or where to go. It's honestly simple if you

First, writing is top notch, with really interesting characters. It's definitely the old style with no handwalking. You'll see a lot of the negative reviews talking about how the quest log wouldn't tell them what to do next, or where to go. It's honestly simple if you know how to read. It blows my mind how many people cant play an RPG if there isn't a bright shiny arrow playing the game for them. Combat is interesting enough, but since the story is so long, I'd recommend just playing on normal so you don't get burnout. Turn based mode can help you pull out the win on some of the harder fights, but playing the whole game like that would honestly be an absolute drag. 99% of the time can be in real-time, and that's probably for the best. Also, it might be worth it to find a build guide for what ever class you want to play, if you don't like the idea of planning out your character before you start.

There are a few game breaking mechanics that unfortunately make a save edit program sort of mandatory. First was the campaign. If you don't know how to do the campaign, you will soft lock your progress. The campaign stuff is really a weak point for the game anyways, so I'd recommend getting that mod and just making some OP armies to steamroll the map. Second, is the mythic paths that can soft lock you if you have an extremely apposing alignment. I was chaotic neutral and chose the Aeon path which requires lawful. All the lawful choices I was making was hardly putting a dent on making me lawful, so the mod made it possible to just change it.

I will say, it's definitely same-sex leaning for romance. I didn't talk to any of the males, yet every single one of them had romance options pop up miles before the first female one. The female romance is pretty bad as well unless you're playing an evil character.

Overall, I am enjoying this game more than many others. I've found myself playing it more than divinity. Reminds me a lot of games like the Dragon Age: Origins, but a much larger game with better characters.

Phenomenal RPG, most epic adventure I've played in years. Insane playstyle diversity, mythic system also makes for great power fantasy. Roleplaying is top notch with tons of varied options and approaches to situations. Power escalation feels amazing and the writing is snappy and good quality. Good game, as good as pathfinder pen&paper adaptation as PK, but fails in the same flaws, with a decaying history and with little improvements respect the previous one.

One of the best crpg and best consequences of choices ever. Real masterpiece.

Crazy difficult but the most intense fun I've had, right up there with Cyberpunk 2077. ToyBox mod is your friend for real.

Very good game, I had much more fun than with Baldur's Gate 3. Sometimes there was a little too much reading though :)

While flawed, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a grand and ambitious adventure and an impressive adaptation of a popular tabletop RPG. The eclectic characters feel alive, though the thought of that literally being true is terrifying. In some ways, it feels like too standard a CRPG; in others, it stretches the conventions of that subgenre in fascinating directions. The amount of writing here (and pretty good writing at that) is astounding — it’s a rare case where the sheer quantity is a positive, each quest another strand in your character’s tapestry, even if they don’t always hit. As such, if you only play one game you missed out on from last year, it might be this one, as it might be all you have time for. But that decision is less appealing in the shadow of the abuse accusations.

Owlcat Games has made huge progress since Kingmaker. Time limits, randomized elements of kingdom management and other annoying aspects were ditched, while combat and character development return in all their glory assisted by very atmospheric new mythic paths and a bit simple but still cool army management system. For me, the new Pathfinder, Wasteland 3 and Divinity: Original Sin II are a trio of contemporary RPG classics, with the first one being the most faithful to the genre’s tradition. [12/2021, p.64]

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a fantasy role-playing game that is highly playable and extremely rich in content. Although there are still some obvious bugs and optimization issues in the game, it is still the brightest new star in the fantasy role-playing games.
