As of writing the game has been released in Early Access

The game to me is a fresh take on ARPG style. It evolves around a central hub, think Phantasy Star Dreamcast. From this hub you have your crafting, vendor, progression etc all in one place, all players are here, you can see and interact with each other. You then drop into the battles (or story) from the hub. You then drop into the battles (or story) from the hub. The battles are kind of short but they definitely give you that "I'll just play one more game" feel because of it.

The graphics and artwork is done nicely, think Tourchlight mixed with Blizzard style, also nice and colourful and runs really smoothly.

The controls are as you'd expect apart from one difference - WASD - That's right, the devs took the bold move to make it WASD for movement. While abit odd at first you soon forget about it and carry on.

Another difference is that you have to pick a character - think a 'hero' this is very different, you can customise somewhat (its still early access so not much right now) You get 3 heros to start with, a DPS, a Tank, a Healer type. Throughout the game you collect 'shards' which in turn unlock other heros.

If you enjoy ARPG then you really should give Pagan Online a chance, its very fun, fluid and feels good to just smash some enemies and level up for an hour or so (although you soon realise 4 hours has passed!)

Not only did Mad Head Games cancel the game, removed the game from steam store so people cant see the reviews, they also used the money they got from Pagan Online in the past to develop more **** hidden object games to sell in the steam store.

they did not apologize to the customers, they dont care, instead owners get worthless 7 days premium and 1 vehicle for Wargaming catalog games, which is an extra slap to the face if you dont play their games at all.

I recommend to not buy games from Mad Head Studio or Wargaming, they are scammers and thiefs.

Pagan Online is a refreshing approach to the genre - especially the WASD control scheme, which at first seemed off-putting, actually gives battles a lot more depth and complexity - this paired with actually challenging boss fights makes Pagan a game I imagine I will be playing for a long time.

The game is currently still in Early Access but I was lucky enough to be able to play the release version at gamescom this week and the story continues to be exciting - the development team has been extremely reactive to player feedback on Discord (btw one of the largest and most interactive Discord experience I had with any game developer) and through other channels.

Looking very much forward to the games release next week.

The game looks like a mobile game even though it weighs 30 gb. (btw i looked up now and i am kind of right - mad head is primary a mobile developer).
There is no actual world to explore, like in diablo or poe or whatever - there is a hub and a portal from which you go to missions (small rooms with bosses to fight or a some kind of a road to get you from point A to point B and then get

So mobile-looking game without a world to explore calling itself arpg? no ty

Pagan Online is a new way of trying to do an ARPG game.
Its early access and do have bugs, but is in a playable state
You get to pick from 3 characters in the beginning but the rest is locked behind a wall. You need these shards to unlock new characters and the shards are currently obtained but doing missions, so no paywall. The graphics is very world of warcraft ish, and in my

The graphics is very world of warcraft ish, and in my opinion not very 2019, but you either like it or you dont.
Theres a single player campaign that currently takes you to Act 5. Getting to act 5 is possible to do in two days and even faster if you know what your doing.
The game will have pets, and you won't get shown new gear you equip other than your main weapon. You will have to unlock skins to be able to look different. The same goes with pets, and even your banner logo.
This in all ways looks like they will implement microtransactions, and looking at other wargaming titles, it would surprise me this title would not have it, especially when the chosen way to obtain things are they way they are.

Game starts nice and has many good ideas from other games (Diablo, Warframe, PoE) and it is inspired by Slavic mythology. First off the game uses WASD controls, I like it. Many good ideas and different characters. It`s a good solid ARPG.

Inexperienced developers tried their hand on a Diablo-like RPG but they failed to understand what makes the genre so popular. Pagan Online is full of restrictions, locked content, reused maps and terrible loot.

Pagan Online makes an attempt to dovetail two different genres—the ARPG and the MOBA—with mixed results. While the different heroes each have interesting abilities and character designs, the game is bogged down by an unfortunate series of grindy, free-to-play mechanics inexplicably built into a buy-to-play game.

Pagan Online seems to have gone through development hell — whatever its original concept was, the game has been rewritten, cut into pieces and then reassembled in a different form. Its short f2p-style runs are fun at first, but then boredom gradually sets in, because it’s just rinse and repeat.
