One of the masterpieces. The game does not leave time for rest. Every step should be thought through, so as not to break the fragile infrastructure of the base. Constant updates and additions to diversify the gameplay.

This game is very addictive. The first time is the worst, but you get better fast. Once you learn the basics, the game starts to open up. You have to work with what you have, and it is a challange. You would be amazed how much you learn in actual real world science as well. The fact that this game is still in early access is great, because there is going to be more content in the future. IThis game is very addictive. The first time is the worst, but you get better fast. When it was first announced, it was not good. But they did something and made this a masterpiece. Every step should be thought, if you do something wrong, then you're f#*cked.

This game has barely managed to replace Factorio and Rimworld to win my "most hours ever spent" award. I find myself scrawling designs for cooling systems on napkins. I'm at nearly 1000 hours and the game hasn't even been released yet. My 1000+ cycle base is great and all, but the itch to roll the dice and start again is overpowering... An absolutely beautiful game in which you must lead your colony to survival. It is good for those who want a survival challenge without having to worry about monsters, but want to have to work with a number of different aspects and countless ways to combat problems.(Food= Grills= Heat= Cooling= Plumbing= Resources= Mining= Food. Good thing you start out with a fair amount of food...

Game stable, small bug, fantastic for beginner or expert.
    Good replayability.

I've put more hours into this game than I ever thought I would. I started playing in early access and they just keep patching in new features and smoothing out the old ones (in a good way). It's the kind of game that sits in my library and waits for me to launch it again. I then binge it for a week or two and then go back to other games until I decide to play this one again. I suspect it will remain installed on my machine long after other "AAA titles" have been played and discarded. There are just some games that have that "one more turn" appeal, and this one falls firmly into that category. Each cycle (day) more things get accomplished and more progress is made, and you look forward to the next one each time. There are still some confusing concepts and the difficulty has varied dramatically over the course of the development. I am still trying to decide if it's hit a sweet spot or if there are still pits/peaks on that front.

The short answer is that this is a fun strategy game that looks small at first but has an amazing amount of depth and complexity once you get into it.

Great alpha release so far. The game progression takes a bit to get used to. Effectively going from one emergency to another. Some come up slowly, others more quickly.

I thought I had power all sorted out when I found a gas vent. Found out later that the gas wasn’t producing as quickly as I had hoped leaving me with a huge power emergency mid game.

Can’t wait to see the finished product!

I've got 700 hours on this game and I've never felt so much like a genius when creating a base. Then I check what other people have done and feel like a dumbest person on earth. 10/10

One of the best building management simulators I have ever played, and I have played a lot of this kind of games, I didn't expected ONI to be this good ! Anyway, the game is not hard but you have to read a lot in Wiki (You can even find wiki ingame) it needs time to remember plants, buildings, gases so on. Devs also have good communication with community. The game is not perfect yet, it has so much potential to be even better and devs still continue to improve it too, which is great.

For indy game to be this fun, I have to give them 10/10. Cheap price, high quality and unique concept. It is not easy for me to give 10 you can check my account but This game deserve it totally. I will wait for dlcs and expansions.

Incredibly addicting base building, survival game. Stay away!

They continue to release new features and bug fixes to make coming back to this game every so often a worthwhile experience.

    Again be warned, very addicting.

This is game is a masterpiece. I just wish I was better at it.
It has a great dev support. They always release new patches and make changes from time to time. The game itself has huge replayability. Nice cartoon graphics, depth in mechanics. Really challenging.

I really like this game and wish there were more games like it. The game for the most part is really cool and good for everyone until automation comes in, not that it's too complicated but it just doesn't really fit in with the rest of the survival aspect. I got 122 hours out of this game until I stopped playing it. I had a blast. I died 4~ times and kept on replaying.

ONI is one of a kind.
There is no comptetitor that can come close to its management simulation.
The atmospheric aspects and the many other layers, which are all connected to each other and therefore productivity or survival are great and this game could easily be a 10/10, especially because it is the pioneer in this field. But to make it a 10/10 experience it has to be played with

But to make it a 10/10 experience it has to be played with mods. The basic version doesnt include many quality of life things, that mods can add. Mods also add so much content of buildings or UI.
Due to the Steam Workshop support mods are great to install, but still tedious to search and find them as well as go over the struggle of a new patch and identify broken mods.

Steam Workshop support is great though.

Oxygen Not Included is a challening, complex survival building game for creative tinkerers and fans of automatisation.

While there are niggles to the experience, from relatively frequent frame rate drops at the start of each cycle and the AI occasionally getting confused to the game outright crashing (which is naturally quite frustrating), these issues seem like the aftermath of Early Access. With the game having a decent swell of community support and the developers just as keen to keep improving, Oxygen Not Included appears to be going onwards and upwards – or whatever direction you fancy, really.
