OVIVO is a great example for a genius mix between gameplay, soundtrack and design. It is a must have game for anyone that wants to experience story in unique ways to enjoy great music and gameplay. OVIVO is a short game, too short, that feels like a taste from something perfect, and you want more from it.

Big things come in small packages, and much like its levels, OVIVO shows that it’s not about getting caught up in the details; it’s about looking at the bigger picture.

Filled with a relaxing soundtrack and delightful minimalist visuals, Ovivo is a mellow game that has a feeling of whimsy across its world. While the presentation may be a bit lacking, this game is a unique treat in the platformer genre.

OVIVO may be a bit artsy for some people, but the game is relatively short and always throwing something new your way. Even if it doesn’t leave a lasting impression, the game is good while it lasts.

Ovivo is a beautiful piece that melds art, exploration, and mystery in a unique platform–adventure title. The levels are engaging, the gameplay intuitive. Unfortunately, the lack of clear objectives, control customization, and the inability to save game progress limits the overall appeal.

A nice game for people who like minimalistic puzzle-platformers.

An artistic platformer of sorts that's best played in a relaxed state.

While some people may be looking for a similar experience to Super Meatboy, full of stressful levels that require some serious reflexes and problem solving, OVIVO offers the exact opposite. It’s a relaxing experience that doesn’t really challenge the mind or reflexes, instead it's more like weaving your way through a maze of fantastic artwork. Overall the game has nice simple mechanics and some lovely visuals and audio, however it falls short when it comes to difficulty, replayability, and price.

Without a story or even a philosophy to fall back on, Ovivo is forced to stand on its gameplay, its art, and its music. At times, those all sync up and produce a flowing, memorable meditative experience. Mostly, though, the zooming and fiddliness get in the way of the art, or the dull bits of the art get in the way of the experience. For a truly minimalist and meditative experience, ditch the game and just grab the soundtrack.

Ovivo is a platformer where you travel back and forth between the color black and white to make your way through a level. For example let's say the color white is down hill so you use it to make you the character which is a ball roll down hill. If you come to a hill going up you would switch to the color black which would make it downhill on that side. That is the basic idea of Ovivo. You aren't just doing up and down hills though. Ovivo is a vast area with many beautiful shapes. When you actually finish a level it pans out to show a beautiful piece of art. So there are many ways to travel to the levels end from moving platforms, to flying things you can piggy back on and control. There are also plenty of obstacles. Like spikes, drop offs, and even dragons. There are story pieces to collect which is what gives you achievements, as well as little balls you must gather along the way. They aren't hard at all to miss at all and should be a easy complete gamerscore or trophy grab for you. It isn't crazy challenging though. Ovivo is actually really relaxing.
One thing that is super relaxing is the sounds and music of Ovivo. Broken Kites delivers some really relaxing sounds. It almost to relaxing at times. It really delivers you to a different world and you feel really drawn into the atmosphere. Ovivo is just a pleasant experience I think about everyone should experience who love to game. It's something so different. It's hard to compare to anything else. My closest example would be "Thomas Was Alone" another amazing Indie title that was so unique in it's delivery. The thing that separates the two is the wonderful narrator in Thomas. Ovivo is totally different is they sway away from text completely even the menu doesn't contain words. You have to figure out what the symbols mean. I experienced that before , but I can't remember what title it was maybe "oOo Ascension"? As a whole though it is without question a unique title and a game you have to play at least once.

    Pros: Beautiful level design
    Relaxing sounds and music
    Spot on controls
Smooth movement around a beautiful world
    Very artistic and unique

Cons: Just wished it was a little longer.

Overall: 8.2 In my opinion one of the most relaxing and unique games you'll ever play. Games like this show pure artistic level design from developers. How you make your way from point A to point B being so well put together is just a perfect example of great video game development.
