    I've never been great at competitive multiplayer, always sitting around the bottom 3 in after-game rankings. Yet in Overwatch, I managed to achieve 'Play of the Game' with my Hero, Zarya, on my third night of play. Gamers of all abilities are allowed to shine in Overwatch, and this is its greatest strength. Heroes have a generous amount of health, with plenty of opportunity to retreat, recover, and charge back into the fray. The game rewards creative thinking, and hatching plans - not just twitch reflexes. I want to play Overwatch every night. I think about it at work, and before I fall asleep. I talk about it to my wife and friends. Overwatch is pure gaming at its best. Meanwhile, Uncharted 4 sits uncompleted, somewhere in my pile of games, a boring anachronism...… Expand

    First, I want address some of the common complaints about this game:

    1. No story/campaign - This shouldn't be a surprise. I don't understand how people complain about this, when it's been VERY clear from the start that this is PvP only game. 2. Not enough content - I can understand this complaint...at the moment. It is a little light on modes/maps. But, I see this as an investment - I trust that Blizzard will deliver with more characters, modes, and maps in the future. If you can't make that gamble, then I guess you won't be playing the game.

    3. It should be free to play (F2P) - Couple reasons that I'm glad it isn't: 1) prevents bots/hackers from flooding the game (this is huge), and 2) in this team-based class shooter, I don't know how you could have a 'free' hero rotation. You would see the same heroes in every game and that would limit the team comps drastically. It would also cause this game to be pay to win, as a team that has all the heroes available vs. a team that doesn't would have a HUGE advantage.

    Now, with that over, I want to tell you what I like and don't like about the game:

    PROS:
    - Gameplay is fantastic. Fan. Tas. Tic. After all, this is what make a game actually fun to play, and this game has it in spades.
    - It runs great. Granted, I have a nice system, so I wasn't worried at all, but even so, I haven't had a single issue with them game. I also have run it on my older system and it played great on that one, too.
    - Character design is amazing. I can't stress enough to people that haven't played how unique each of the characters are in this game. Everyone excels at different styles of play and none of them feel like they overlap. It's really astonishing how they pulled that off.
    - It's a Blizzard game. What I mean by that is Blizzard has a knack for knowing how to keep a community going, so I have full faith that this game will be going strong two years down the line (and probably longer).

    CONS:
    - Loot boxes. I don't mind loot boxes, in general, but I do think I should be able to "trade" a skin for another skin of the same rarity. Or, at least, let me cash in skins to buy the skin that actually want, even if I don't get full value for the traded-in skins. Right now, the only way to get credits to get them randomly in loot boxes and for duplicate items (again, randomly in loot boxes).
    - This isn't a real con, as it can be overcome with a good comp and coordinated team, but in general, teams on defense have a distinct advantage. I have a feeling this won't be as much of an issue when ranked play comes out, as players will focus more on the objectives than running off and trying to rack up solo kills (hopefully).

    Overall: I really enjoy this game. I don't come from an FPS background. In fact, I will say I don't play FPS at all. But this game allows me to jump in and contribute in a support role and makes it very fun to do so, at the same time. I would recommend anyone playing this game - even if you don't play shooters.. In the 20+ hours that I've played so far, I can say that I've never had this much fun in an online competitive game.

    The best/worst part about this game is that it has that "just one more match" hook. It melts away the hours and when you're not playing it, all you can think about is when you can play it again. Between this and Rocket League, I might never play another game again.    … Expand

    Best Fps 2k16. I feel the negative reviews on here are mainly from people who don't understand how to counter heroes. They allow you to swap heroes during the game for a reason...

    Overwatch for me is the Game of the Year, combining Team based Team Fortress 2 type gameplay in a Blizzard slightly moba-esque mask.
    The issue I have is with matchmaking, even at higher levels you get trash games & quickplay is always a struggle when you always get a Genji and Hanzo on your team for no reason.

Overwatch can be called mobay, especially all the characters have their own special ultimate. Timely filed ultimate can change the course of the match (I will not say. that's good). You can even combine ultimate between characters of the team.

    The maps where we play as different. The design of the game is good, and the game itself looks great. Let some say that cartoony is the style of the game very well. Some cards, I think. there is a certain imbalance: some are easier to win for the defense, and the other for the defense.

    Bought this game originally for playstation, loved it. Since I just purchased a computer, had to get one of my favorite games for the pc (23.99 at best buy). It definitely a TF2 clone, with abilities that would find in a MOBA. This game has a strict learning curve. Graphics are nice and colorized, and lore is getting more interesting the more the game goes on. All the characters areBought this game originally for playstation, loved it. Can't I earn them through in game achievements, instead of grinding for the same spray you have unlocked 5 time... if this game would of left of out lootboxes, might of been 10/10 for me. Been playing this game since it came out, and I've been enjoying all the new content they have been putting out. Helps the game feel fresh and it is technically free content... Hopefully you get that skin you want, because you only have 3 weeks to unlock it. Other then that problem very enjoyable game.… Expand

    Ещё больше меня раздражают комментарии типа :"эта игра должна быть бесплатной". Почему?? Если OW должна быть f2p, то за игру в CS:GO вам вообще должны платить деньги!

    Я играю в OW уже почти 2 года, то есть с его релиза (сделал предзаказ). За это время много чего поменялось: добавили новые карты, персонажей, разные облики, правили баланс (хоть и не всегда удачно). Также есть полно отличных короткометражек и официальных комиксов по игре, рекомендую их почитать! Играю на ранге "Алмаз" начиная со второго сезона. Могу с уверенностью сказать, что обычно негативные отзывы оставляют, так сказать, нубы. То есть они ноют потому, что не разобрались в механике игры или не умеют контрить определённых героев, из-за чего появляется их любимый дисбаланс. Кстати, негативных людей на низких рангах тоже намного больше.

    Сейчас в игре почти всё идеально, но как и большинство онлайн игр она бывает сильно выводит из себя, из-за чего хочется винить игру, а не свой скилл или везение.

    Единственные проблемы: бан за мейнерство, даже если ты играешь хорошо и, пожалуй, небольшой дисбаланс отдельных героев. Но так как меня эти проблемы не затронули, то я ставлю 10/10.

Overwatch ist ein Shooter bei dem nahezu alles stimmt, die verschiedenen Helden sind toll und jeder von ihnen ist in verschiedenen Situationen gut ,sowie auch die Steuerung sich sehr angenehm anfühlt. Es gibt zwar kleinere Bugs die aber kaum von Bedeutung sind und man sie oft gar nicht bemerkt. Die Lootboxen dieTolle Grafik, sehr schnell, unglaublich kompetetiv und hoher Wierderspielwert. Overwatch ist ein Shooter bei dem nahezu alles stimmt, die verschiedenen Helden sind toll und jeder von ihnen ist in verschiedenen Situationen gut ,sowie auch die Steuerung sich sehr angenehm anfühlt.     It's like they took all the best features and movement of my favorite types of FPS's and put them in one game.

    Smooth fast movement like Quake 1 and 2.

    Awesome varieties of characters. Intense action, never a dull moment. Even getting rolled is fun.

    El único juego only multiplayer que me ha tenido enganchado durante horas, donde el trabajo en equipo cuenta mas que cada individualidad y encima lo cuidan, añaden contenido nuevo (mapas, personajes y modos de juego. así como skins)

    el único punto negativo que tiene es que a nivel competitivo una desconexión a conciencia perjudica demasiado al equipo. deberían medir mejor esas situaciones

    So many low scores by salty bronze players lol. The game is 40 bucks on pc. It comes with monthly balance changes updates for maps or new maps. New heroes and new cosmetics. This is a skill base game and you need to have experience for playing the game to get good. This game does piss me off. Sometimes you feel you got killed unfair or you should had killed someone.     Still such a brilliant game. I really enjoy picking it up in bursts. If you need an addictive game then get this! I love the different types of characters and really enjoy playing different game modes. Only criticism is that there are plenty of toxic players and it gets annoying. Also, the first 10 matches for competitive ranking have really poor matchmaking. Sort that out Blizzard

    Probably the best first person shooter released in the last decade. It has a good mix of shooting, strategy, replay value. The graphics are also amazing and you don't need a very powerful computer to play the game. I also like that the developer continues to introduce new characters and the re-balance the game with updates.

    Adictivo , personajes entrañables en jugabilidad , pero a la larga se extraña variedad , sufre de power creep debido a actualizaciones que hacen que muchos héroes se mantengan en el olvido o en las sombras de otros , lo cual hace no viable jugar con parte del rooster

    I honestly love this game. The characters, the maps, the lore, the merch, the ESPORT. They're all fantastic. The game does have its problems, as they all do, and this game seems to get hit really hard from its growing pains. its community that seems impossible to please, but the balance does seem to be very hard to get tuned to a place where the majority of people can be happy.     -good community, was once super toxic but has now really cleaned up
    -fun to play heroes
    -lots of depth, hidden under an easy to digest game that can be just as much fun for casuals as it is for the more competitive scene
    -family friendly
    -good esport scene
    -lots of great content creators
    -lots of positivity
    -a constant stream of free content
    -balance (both a pro and a con)

    Cons
    -slow updates, I would be happier with maybe one or two more hero a year and a few more maps.
    -balance
    -some cheese heroes can seem incredibly strong, especially at lower ranks
    -people will pick on you for playing a "dead game" filled with an obviously massive amount of players.
    -queue times because of the MMR system at higher ranks late at night can be pretty brutal, especially if you like to play damage heroes. I'm in diamond and usually find a game in less than a minute in solo queue regardless of time of day.

    I would recommend this game, its lots of fun, and if you're willing to put in the time to become good at competitive and really learn the depth of the game; I think that's where it's at it's strongest. Oh, and there is no "ELO Hell" you absolutely can grind out of a rank. I started at 2300 and am now 3400, my wife started at 1600 and is now 3100. It isn't your team, you're the reason you climb, this game is all about making yourself a better player and abetter teammate.    … Expand

    One of the best multiplayer games I’ve played in a while. With new patches coming out to balance hero’s and the introduction of role cue, the game honestly feels great. Ranked matches are fun and generally pretty quick, most of the toxicity in the community has died down completely and I generally enjoy talking to people in game.

The second big bumper is that Blizzard - as good as their intentions might be - mess up patches a lot. They need months to fix broken    2000+ hours into the game, I'd wish I could rate it 10/10.

    In Overwatch Blizzard has created one of the best foundation for a multiplayer FPS.

    OW has lots of problems, but all in all it's still an addictive game with great gameplay, and great multiplayer when you don't have AFK or troll in your game. The characters and universe add a lot of depth to the game, it's amazing. Now all we're missing is a PvE mode, which will come with the next PvE expansion, which they've called OW2 for some reason.

    Overwatch is my absolute favourite video game ever! The characters are phenomenally designed, the maps are beautifully built and the abilities are a joy to use every single time. The absolute teamwork that goes into every match makes the victories and defeats that much more meaningful and heartfelt.     My favourite game of all time. One of the most fun multiplayer online shooters there it. And based on the amount of copy cats i would say its a great succes. With the launch of Overwatch 2 on the Horizon things look bright for the future.

    It was a good shooter, not bad, not perfect, but good. It had a leveling system, etc. I can say a lot of good things about the game, but my review will be too long. The only problem I have is obviously the community. Overwatch 1 was a MUCH better game than Overwatch 2, unfortunately, it's not the same anymore. Rest in peace.

    It was a great fun in the beginning. I can't give a bad review to the game that I invested over a 1000 hours in (600 hours as D.Va ;]). It's a multiplayer struggling with balance and trying to reinvent iteself over and over again over the years, but the only thing it really succeeded in was losing appeal for fans. But still I guess it's worth a 10 euro that it goes for now.

    The game dynamic with the enemies and the six team squared was always a fun one. I enjoyed it even if it first really become a real multiplayer game when you were forced to two two team up. There are many conspiracy theories (50% win rate algorithms, intermittent reinforcement and so on). Never before have I rolled so many people, and been rolled so many times. Also a lot of smurfs in the game, some of them my friends (who have played since release and have many accounts, but are actually grandmaster/masters/high diamond). This sucks for people who face them.

    All in all, a good game, that has issues, and a really missed opportunity from Blizzard. The playerbase has dropped significantly from a few years ago, and many feel the game is neglected by Blizzard, who are putting their efforts into overwatch 2.

    Could have been a 10/10, in it's current state it's a 7-8/10. Hoping some Microsoft direction and money can fix it, and that Overwatch 2 is a success xD    … Expand

    It's a great game overall, with a unique heroes and maps. There is a decent competitive scene as well. The updates were amazing at launch but now they are pretty much gone. I'd recommend the game to anyone but don't expect much new content from updates.

    The game is fun and a lot of effort has been put into it, the main problem is the balance changes. You had the double shield in the meta for ages, you got brig who is so broken I have seen people one-trick her to gm with a 93 winrate. Gold players were able to make it to gm on her. Lots of things have been fixed, but the dev team really cares about the causal players, not the competitive ones.

Balancing is usually bad, but at the current time of this review, I think all heroes are viable. The actual gamemode of Competitive itself is functional, with a SR system which does a good job at showing a player's skill, but isn't very deep. I think every match does feel winnable, and matches in Overwatch tend to be more balanced (player-wise) than matches in other competitive games I have played. The devs have also been making changes which makes the future of competitive more hopeful.

    Story: Overwatch has a promising story with many characters that many people want to learn more about. The bad part however, is that the game has been out for 4 years and the story hasn't developed far. It seems that most story that we are given is just backstory for new characters. Many characters have not been fleshed out, and in some cases characters have been downgraded. Ex: In the early days of the game, it was hinted that Mercy caused Reaper's condition because he was a botched experiment of hers, this would have made Mercy much more interesting, but it was retconned when Moira was released, and the animated short that showed her backstory shows that Reaper was a result of her evil experimenting. Another problem with the story is that it is too basic. the members of Overwatch are all saints with no bad qualities, and almost all the members of Talon (the evil organisation) are evil with no redeeming values, the only exception to this is Doomfist, who is evil but has an interesting motivation behind his actions. adding on to the basic story, it feels too 'clean and happy', as the good guys win every situation they're in, and nothing ever has weight.
    3/10

    Community: From what I've seen online, the community seems welcoming, and does occasionally make some good art based on the game (both drawings and videos). However many forums for the game are filled with the same boring highlights of gameplay, and stupid ideas for designing the game.
    The n0rp is stellar tho.

    Small Features: Events were a nice addition to the game, but every year they just repeat with little to no changes. Challenges were a good idea, but every single "challenge" is just win 9 games to get a skin.
    Skins in the game are very well designed, and interesting. the only problem is that there are much more "legendary" skins than "common" skins which makes them have less value imo. Emotes and other cosmetics are also neat, and when they have a "legendary" status it feels deserved. The U.I is functional and is unique, so that's pretty neat.

    Esports: The game has an Esports scene that will last a long time, but it does have some problems with stability. Many players and teams have left, but new ones always take their place. It will never die, but its identity is uncertain. The game does have nice integrations with the esports scene tho, with lots of skins to rep the teams, and a replay mode for re-watching matches. The Esports scene often sticks with one meta for a few months at a time, so it can get boring at times, but every meta can still be interesting if the players pop-off.

    Overall, with a great casual scene, a competitive scene that has promise, but the drawback of a basic story, the game deserves an 8/10.    … Expand

    And well, I had fun. A large variety of characters to choose from, flaming with personality and uniqueness, each with their own story to which you can be exposed in a variety of ways. There are many maps that are justified plot-wise and they come with a vast collection of different modes, with ones exclusive to certain festivities. And of course, a lot of customisation options, but you can get your favourite skins without breaking a sweat just by playing the game, so that is a big plus.

    The main issue with this game is balance. It's not even the main issue, it's THE issue. I'm aware of how this game looked like when it released, and it is puzzling why they introduced the gameplay changes they did. As of now, there are two ways to enjoy quick-play/competitive modes: a queue with role regulations, and a queue where you can play whoever you want. I like the idea of making this game a little bit less chaotic with defining three main roles, but it is not fun that you have to wait roughly 8 minutes every time you want to play the DPS role, considering that this role has more than half of the game's characters in it. And the non-restrictive queue does not help with that either, since even if you try to play your favourite character, if it is out of meta, you will get stomped pretty quickly by those abiding it. And we are talking about the main modes, which means this is mainly how the game is supposed to be played, so it really does lower the score for me. But all these are flaws that can be fixed and it seems that Blizzard is slowly starting to realise its mistakes, though for the results we will probably have to wait for some time.

    If you haven't played this game yet, I recommend taking a few of your friends with you to try it out, since it still is a lot of fun and the price right now isn't too high. But for now, I recommend you stick to those non-competitive quirky modes, where people generally try to enjoy the game.    … Expand

    Is the best predecessor of TF2. Fun gameplay and the animations are fantastic. Blizzard made an amazing FPS, but they had a lot of problems with balancing heroes and matchmaking on the competitive was sometimes awful. The playerbase was toxic af but when you find a team who wants to win was a great expirience. Jeff Kaplan and the overwatch team did a great job :)

    It's very polished and well made game i had alot of fun playing it, Has alot of characters with thier own unique abilities and a fun maps to play, and the reason i put a score of 9 instead of 10 would be for the latest updates with the meta of the play, It becomes not fun to play a certain characters that mandatory for the meta to win (specially in the double-shield meta).

The performance and graphics are good and when I play I feel like I can contribute to a group effort, unlike some other modern FPS games where there are so many people playing your own contribution is often insignificant in the grand scheme of things.     Is it fun? Undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable First Person Shooter games I've ever played!
    The gameplay is fast paced, creative and diverse, the character design is phenomenal, most of the heroes look fantastic, the maps look gorgeous, so many hidden details everywhere, overall I can safely say that this is an amazing game.

    But what doesn't make it a perfect game is the horrible matchmaking, the lack of gamemodes and the atrocious balancing. It's a shame that the game got abandoned all of a sudden because fortunately its flaws can be fixed as times goes by.

    It's still a very enjoyable experience, and I'm glad I didn't miss out on it, one of my favorite Online Multiplayer games for sure.

    Easily some of the best shooters I've ever played, but I don't really enjoy the genre in general. Fun gameplay, ok variety of modes, great selection of characters.

    This is my favorite game of all time. The lore is great but the multi-player is what you wanna focus on since there is no story mode. The game is great and the gun and sword and power play feels great. The characters are absolutely amazing and inclusive. 10/10 play this alot to this day

    Incredibly fun game as long as you're not on competitive. The only big problem with this game to me is that there has been a drought of content.

    Rest in peace is my favorite game of the last 6 years until October 2022. Even though she was mocked by her creators, she was alive and beautiful...until she was finally killed and cynically replaced with a pathetic and greedy clone with the number 2.

    I'm certain that Overwatch will bring dozens of hours of fun to all lovers of dynamic online shooters. Focusing on one type of gameplay and an enormous attention to detail generated an excellent game. You have to appreciate the developers' sincerity when discussing doubts and problems with the community. Blizzard has done it again. You should see for yourself why so many players have fallen under Overwatch's spell.

    Overwatch is a punch to the face for multiplayer shooters. It mingles quick-fix, objective-based gameplay with a deep tactical core and intelligent meta, forming a game that is simply perfect in short bites and thoroughly satisfying to play for hours on end.
