  1. Fellowship of Evil is a mediocre stopgap between now and whenever Codemasters gets around to releasing Overlord III.

Looks like all Codemasters’ effort went into making Fellowship of Evil look like a game. After watching a trailer you might think “Hey, it’s not Overlord that I remember, but it might be a good action-RPG”. But once you launch it, you realize that it’s not a game – it’s a cardboard cutout with zero gameplay value. [Issue#204, p.81]

After a couple of hours spent with Fellowship of Evil I deleted my account on Steam, sold my PC, ran away into the woods and never came back. And when I came back I was still screaming. [01/2016, p.62]

Overlord: Fellowship of Evil is, by a wide margin, one of the worst games of the year. I don’t know what the team at Codemaster was thinking, but they’ve wrecked everything Triumph Studios had built. Either give it back, or let this franchise die — it has suffered enough, as have we.

Overlord: Fellowship of Evil is an experience I'll be glad to forget: a mindless, tedious, boring excuse for a game that tortures the player throughout, much like the characters in the game torturing the poor souls of the innocent. Maybe that is the point and Codemasters has done an amazing piece of art...As if.

This could have been good. A dungeon crawler in the Overlord universe has some promise, but there’s just nothing here. No satisfying loot drops. No expanding combat ability. Nothing but braindead, horrifically designed combat. Oh, and a few utterly insipid pressure-plate puzzles. Because those are always fun...I fucking hate it...That is what I’m trying to say.

Just a horrible "cash grab" probably made just to keep hold on the lisence.

Might appeal to those who have never heard of Overlord or are

Might appeal to those who have never heard of Overlord or are new to gaming but fans should avoid it like a plague.

Cut andThe prior games had their issues but the unique control scheme and minion mechanics got most players to ignore the rough spots. Cut and pasting from other genres/games while scrapping what made the franchise unique would have faced headwinds even if they had done it competently. In this case they couldn't even copy other peoples mechanics competently. As a dungeon crawler (ie diablo/gauntlet) who they copied it's a horrible implementation. As an overlord game (you know lording over minions to do your evil deeds) it fails as there is no minion evil deed doers just bad ai. It's main selling point, the co-op feature is somewhat hampered by the fact it is ONLY balanced for co-op and so few people purchased it and so many who did got refunds there is some difficulty in finding a match.

This title stands a fair chance of killing off the franchise all by itself.

What the **** Codemasters? This is both a blatant cashgrab, and a blatant attempt to axe the franchise. It obviously succeeded. **** **** NowWhat the **** Codemasters?
