While easy combat and a story with uninteresting characters left us wanting more, unique boss battles and parkour-action-focused dungeons were enough to keep us entertained throughout the experience.

OVERLORD: ESCAPE FROM NAZARICK excellently recreated original characters into pixel graphics, as well as having good vibes and sound. While It is a metrovania with okay-ish battle and exploration features, unreasonable rewards and monotonous battles make the game a bit boring. Think twice before play it if you are not a fan of the originals.

A potentially good game ruined by terrible control system choices.

The devs must answer the following questions:

    - Why is sprinting not a toggle skill?

    - Why did you feel the need to re-invent wall jump into one of the most uncomfortable control schemes ever? Stop reinventing the wheel.

    - Why do I need to hold a button pressed to hang on to ropes when climbing?

    - Why do I fall down if I press attack while climbing?

    - Why is the FULL map not accessible with one single button click?

That aside, the power up system is semi-interesting, and the map seems done well, i played about 50% of the game before getting annoyed by the control scheme and uninstalling.

All in all this is a forgettable game.
