While OOTP4 has a few interface issues and suffers from a bare-bones graphical and sound approach, its entertainment value should leave you in the ball game for quite a while.
-
The level of detail and responsiveness to user feedback is what sets OOTP apart from most other computer text-based baseball games.
-
As a lifelong fan of both text-based and table-top baseball games, I can honestly say that OOTP4 is the best baseball game I have ever played. The recent releases of its two biggest competitors, "Baseball Mogu"l and "PureSim Baseball," are both top-notch, but, in the end, OOTP4 out options them and certainly provides a smoother, more compelling re-creation of Americas pastime.

The email system is the new way that an owner is given important breaking information, trade requests. The system is absolutely dynamite...The premiere text baseball sim on the market. Check it out.
-
The interface of this game has been stream lined and is quite intuitive. The functionality tends to be well organized and rides the line between useful and overcrowded quite well.
-
Addictive as a single-player experience and flat-out irresistible while playing in an online league, it shouldn't be missed.
-
Out of the Park Baseball 4 is such a great online game that I can't stop singing its praises to anyone who will listen.
-
For those that love the game, enjoy the behind-the-scenes management, embrace the mental challenge, like the statistical bombardment, and thrive on situational strategy, this is the game for you.
-
The best baseball game around period. Graphics can only do so much and this simulation is top notch in gameplay and delivery. If you are an avid baseball fan you need to check out this game.
-
A refreshing break from typical graphics-oriented games.
-
Anyone with more than a passing interest in the sport that was America's national pastime before Donald Fehr and Bud Selig screwed it up will find this to be one of the most absorbing sports games of 2002.
