It is what it is. Great fun for those breaks between the games you like to play that make you think.
-
What is important here is the fun factor, which I think is pretty high. The game keeps you quite involved and makes you have the feeling of just one more game.
-
A simple, yet enjoyable and somewhat addicting game best enjoyed in small doses.
-
It's simple but oddly addictive.
-
Computer Games MagazineIt's viscerally fun, it actually looks and sounds pretty good, and in 15 minute spurts, it's as entertaining as many 3D shooters. [Oct 2002, p.81]
-
Simplistic in concept and design, and tends to feel like a mini-game that was included in a more ambitious product.
-
I would prefer the soothing comfort of a spork being gouged in my eye rather than playing a few more minutes of this game.
-
The inability to emancipate the player and place them into vehicles, different scenery or at least let them switch between different turret positions is rather beyond me.
-
Then there's dreadful and horrific messes (but cheap!) rubbish like Operation Blockade an "action" title that fails pennypinching gamers in so many ways it throttles the mind.
-
This is a great game just as long as you keep it away from your PC. It is only until it comes in contact with a PC-Cdrom drive that it is able to spread its evils across your office or living room...Horrible in every single meaning of the word.

MichaelL.Oct 6, 2002A great arcade shooter that has raised the bar on graphics in the genre.
