May 21, 2019Great creepy story and cool 2001: a space odyssey look. Might not be for everyone but i really enjoy it

May 31, 2019Good production values, but story is very slow, dull and thankfully short in this case. The puzzles are well-integrated into the story mechanics, but feel more like work than fun. Watch a let's play of the first half-hour or so to determine if to your tastes. The 'Untold Stories' was similar pacing and mechanics.

Feb 1, 2020This is one of those games that is tailored for a very specific taste. And I love it!
The strength of studio no_Code, and of Observation by extension is the ability to tell abstract stories through complex puzzles. That with the oppressive, thriller-esque pacing of the narrative makes for the tensest 6 hours you may ever experience! -
Dec 26, 2020Terrific game and a breath of fresh air in a gaming world polluted with FPS, Battle Royale, etc. There is something unique and special here and I hope to see more from these developers. Top notch voice acting/writing/direction.
-
May 27, 2019The original gameplay concept along with the very well written story make this game a piece of art.
Definetly a worthy heir to Stories: Untold. -
May 23, 2019Very good game for funs of Science-Fiction. Slow study of the station will not please everyone

Dec 7, 2020Boring. The story may be great, but that's not the point.. To unravel it, you do lots of mundane tasks like switching and rotating cameras and solving grade school pattern puzzles to open hatches, turn switches and fetch things... it gets old pretty fast, and absolutely kills the pacing of the story. I got bored with the gameplay after several hours and quit.

May 21, 2019Cool story. 80's, Space Odyssey, Alien look. Graphics are awesome. A little slow paced sometimes. Great game. 7 out 10.

May 29, 2019A game that might not be for everyone but i really enjoyed. You are controlling the board computer on a space station in low earth orbit. Puzzles are pretty easy but i did get lost on space walks. Voice acting was good and graphics looked very realistic. The whole atmosphere was very unsettling and i wanted to finish the story to see what it was all about.
One of the better indie games of 2019. -

Jun 5, 2019I enjoyed Observation quite a bit, as a sci-fi walking sim. A lot of people will find it boring, and/or maybe frustrating. If you're looking for gameplay, this isn't really it. If you're already intrigued by it's premise and just want an interactive 2001 x Interstellar experience, then check this out (...when it's on sale).
-
May 23, 2019Creepy, unsettling, thriller. I would recommend watching 2001: A Space Odyssey before playing this game. Absolutely fantastic.
-
May 25, 2019Poor UI/UX.
Boring game play.
It's better to do something different than play this game. -
Jun 5, 2019Amazing game. Absolutely one of my favorites of all times. Story is fantastic and checked off most of my sci-fi needs.

Jun 20, 2019Favorite Thing: Space? Horror? *drool*
Least Favorite Thing: Searching aimlessly for things. Especially when outside the station, it's about as fun as looking for a needle in a haystack.
Date Completed: 2019-05-31
Playtime: 5h
Enjoyment: 8/10
Recommendation: If space and/or horror is your thing then yes! -

May 24, 2019Great game! I understand than many negative reviews are for Epic Game Store. Well, also not supporting that policy, but the game is really good.
-
Jun 15, 2019Great game. Definitely inspired by Arthur C. Clarke and probably Stephen King. Deep and philosophic story.
-
May 25, 2019This game is absolutly amazing.
It might be one of the best games i've ever played.
The only small negativ point are some situations when you dont now what to do. -
Jun 2, 2019The environment, story, puzzles and overall interaction put together into such a great atmosphere I just can't score it any lower. I've been waiting for something like this since Prey. It might not be for for everyone, but if you like sci-fi...GO AND GRAB IT!
-
Jun 3, 2019Absolutely fantastic game with cool story. U must watching Interstellar or 2001: A Space Odyssey before playing this game
-
Jun 19, 2019GREAT game!
It´s different from everything i had played before.
It maintains the engagement through a great story, great interactions and beautiful graphics. -
Dec 15, 2019Observation was a fantastic experience with great sound design and an immersive environment that is only held back by some occasionally wonky controls and unclear objectives that slowed/broke the story and immersion a bit hear and there.
-
May 23, 2023one of best short space themed game. good graphics.more like moon movie game. modern 2001 syle ai story.

Jul 18, 2020I like the story. This game very different gameplay ı think. It feels like movie. I didn't like searching from outside episodes.
-
Apr 27, 2022Hard to write a review on it. It's sort of "rethinking" of Kubrick's "Space Odyssey" and Arthur's Clark "Space Odyssey." Here, they added some horror and mystery, the idea of transcendence. Also, I have noticed "Cloverfeld Paradox" ideas.
Anyways, it's a nice game to play once. But it could be more at the end and more friendly with the controls. Curious what they are gonna show us next. -

Oct 31, 2019The dubbing was really successful. The atmosphere and the environment design were great. Puzzles were moderate. Finished the story mode in 9 hrs on record.
It made me remind of the movie named "Arrival". So if you are a fan of this genre, you would really like this game for sure. -
Jan 26, 2020Quite a neat little sci-fi puzzle thriller, with an unusual premise. Slightly let down by the fact that occasionally you hit 'puzzles' that are more rapid-fire dexterity tests (where there's no guidance as to what you need to do). The ending also doesn't make a lick of sense, but it's fun getting there.

May 1, 2021I really liked the game. Atmospheric, deep, special. Like a good movie, but with you in it. Such games are rare.
-
Jul 13, 2020A very unusual game is an interactive movie. The mechanics of the game in the form of puzzles look new because of the context. The plot is like a mysterious movie like about space, though the truth in the game itself does not agree, so there are a lot of questions. And the mine has one mine, face animations.

Jun 28, 2019Once you have mastered the interface and navigation challenges, Observation will sweep you up in a compelling story of human and machine interaction that offers a refreshing spin on a familiar sci-fi formula.
-
Jun 17, 2019While there have been a lot of games like it recently, Observation’s interesting player perspective, stellar production values, and exceptional level of detail might just make it the best of them.
-
Jun 17, 2019Challenging puzzles and a thrilling story makes Observation truly fantastic — but launch prices paired with the brevity of the experience and its lack of replay value make it hard to recommend.
