Jul 23, 2024We’re not exactly starving for choice when it comes to Metroidvania-style games on Steam, and nothing Noreya: The Gold Project does should push it to the front of your wish list. Indeed, there are a lot of obvious flaws here that pull the adventure down. At the same time, it hits the basics well and there are a few really interesting elements that, when combined with the strong atmosphere, might just hook you.

Jul 16, 2024Noreya has some unique ideas and questionable design choices. I doubt it'll leave a mark compared to the most successful examples of the genre, but in general, it is a good metroidvania.
