I have been a huge fan of the series since the original Xbox days. I was so excited to see this collection come to PC because of its awesome gameplay and nostalgic factor. However, this is truly one of the laziest ports ever. I cannot even begin to describe how bad it is.

There are no graphics option. I don't mean that the game doesn't give you options to change quality of the graphics.

There are no graphics option. I don't mean that the game doesn't give you options to change quality of the graphics. I mean that it has zero graphics option at all, aside from brightness and contrast. In fact, you cannot even set the screen resolution or windowed/full screen mode. You have to manually type in a code in the game properties panel in the steam launcher just to set the resolution. This is beyond ridiculous.

The games themselves are alright, but the choice of game to be included in this collection is really poor. Instead of Ninja Gaiden Black and the original Ninja Gaiden 2, we are getting the watered down versions for the PS3 (both of which I owned and enjoyed as a PS3 owner).

While it was revealed that the code for NG Black and NG2 were partially lost, I think that for a product that asks their buyers for 50 bucks need so much more work and effort. This collection is just emulating the 3 games on the PS3, with absolutely no updates, upgrades or even effort to include what fans really wanted. Compared to recent remakes and remastered collections, Ninja Gaiden Master Collection is an absolute disgrace and an insult to fans of the original games. It is nothing but a cash grab. Do not buy, even if it is on a huge sale.

The games in this bundle have no mouse and keyboard support. Why would you release a game on PC if you do not want to support its native controller?

Can you imagine a game on console with no native gamepad support? You can only get away with this for PC releases because the platform has so many dedicated archivist who buy whatever it is released. I on the other hand have no tolerance

I on the other hand have no tolerance for lackluster products unless they are dirt cheap. As it stands now this game is barely worth half a dollar because it costs me a gamepad to play it.

It gets a "0" since it was not playable, only downloadable.

Ninja Gaiden Black/ Sigma was and still is a very solid and fair Hack n Slash unlike any other, it's gameplay has aged perfectly fine even for today's standards. Gameplay at it's core is about blocking/dodging your enemy and attack them at the right moment, with a feel of being extremely powerful but also vulnerable. With an interconnected almost metroidvania style to it's hub world you will find challenges hidden complementing the mostly linear main path.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, the most controversial one on the other hand is very different from it's vanilla version of the Xbox 360, it drops the big enemy count that appears on it's linear levels in favor of performance stability compensating it with enemies that have more health (just some not all). With more weapons that have a bigger move set than it's predecessor black/Sigma you will feel like a powerful foe to your enemies has you dispose of them in large numbers at the same time with ultimate attacks.

I will not comment on Ninja Gaiden 3 Rezor's Edge because it never clicked with me, never felt like a product of them same people, even though it is in a way, but I also don't think it's a bad game by any means just not on the same quality.

    Keep you expectations in check...
This is a barebones port, not a remaster, some of the UI is low resolution on Sigma 2 and there is no treatment like a Mass Effect Remaster, what you will find is 3 very solid old games in a pack full of content even with DLC that was only on the Vita versions of the Sigma plus games. Graphics from Sigma have aged fine, can only nitpick the water considering the water looked better on the original from the Xbox. Sigma 2 and RE suffer more from lower resolutions on some of the stages, lack of detail and some weak antialiasing, character models looks good and detailed, it's anime style helped create a ageless feel to it.

Yeah man, let's make a game on PC with no 1440p support and force using a controller. Yeah let's do that on PC..... ON PC???!! How is this even considered to be a remaster? They just took what they have on consoles and sold it on PC with no effort whatsoever. Disgraceful...

There are of course some annoying things that I encountered with these ports. For example, you cannot play games using only a keyboard and mouse, you must definitely connect a gamepad; you cannot change the graphics settings and somehow set your own screen resolution. 720p, 1080p, 4K only.
In general, I liked the collection: a good story, addictive gameplay, vivid characters. But the developers still have something to work on.

The games themselves are fun but It is a joke how you can not play it with mouse and keyboard. Although I am disappointed that they did not choose ninja gaiden black to include in this collection.

No graphical options whatsoever, and no 1440p mode in-game settings. The modern NJ games are fine, still brutally tough, but 2 & 3 fall into mediocre territory.

A great collection, was the OG Dark Souls of video games. To the point some of the bosses are just unfair. However, still fun and enjoyable.

A truly great saga with an horribly lazy porting.
These games deserves much more love from the developments to shine even in this age.
But it seems that, unfortunately, the development team prefer goes in the cheap route with this series..

Quality-of-life improvements here and there, preserving its online modes, and additional content would have made this the “ultimate” trilogy fans may have been hoping for. Instead, newcomers will enjoy playing one of the best, if not most challenging, action games ever made and older fans will remember why they fell in love with the series in the first place, all of its flaws included.

The Ninja Gaiden trilogy differs from all the other slashers and even today stands out from most of the representatives of the genre. Instead of pleasing the mainstream tastes, the Japanese have created games that require you to master available techniques and are brutally difficult even if you do. Most players will find them much to hard to complete, but that’s why we love these team Ninja’s masterpieces, right? [09/2021, p.36]

Sure, it’s a shame Bluepoint Games weren’t drafted to take care of this collection of and give it some real love, but what the hell. I still had a great time revisiting them, and my only real criticism is that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was a poor pick in a world where Ninja Gaiden 2 exists. It’s a shame that more of an effort wasn’t made to jazz these up, but it’s still great that the classics are finally on PC.
