Pretty, but amateurish. The hand drawn animation that starts the game looks like it was made by a 10 year old. Almost none of the settings are configurable, including mapping buttons, so you'll be moving around the maps with arrow keys like you're playing on a Commodore 64. I'll be requesting my refund from Steam.

Niko is an experimental title, which relies primarily on exploring – actual game is set aside. However, when an action or logical sequences come to place true problems occur: low difficulty and flat puzzles, poor controls and imbalance of the individual elements.

Niko: Through the Dream is a project that attracts attention for its visuals and contains some interesting ideas on the implementation of its puzzles.

Beautiful levels with equally beautiful story, characters, and music come together to form one amazing puzzle adventure. Niko: Through The Dream is easily one of the best first-person puzzle games I've played, and a strong contender for my game of the year.
