Newt One is a cute little game that I highly recommend breaking children into gaming with. It has that Yonder feel as there are no enemies or real threats. You just are revived if you fall off the map so it really is a great introduction into platform gaming. That doesn't mean it's overly simple, because there are collectibles to be missed, and rewards for finishing with everything, and without falling off the map so it's also a great game to teach them completion as well. They might not be able to do it all alone, but it's a fun family game to play with one another. You play as a Newt a mysterious character whose rite of passage in life is restore music, color, and harmony back into your world. There are 4 different unique worlds with 6 stages in them, and then a extra Parrot world your rewarded with after completion of the game. The worlds are dark and the color comes across as you step on it, so does the music. You can hear it change as the world opens up. There are also tools you can fin d in a wand that brings color to everything around you as you walk so you don't have to touch everything. This is a life save when playing levels over. There is also a drum that will color things around you as well as freeze water and lava for you to walk across, but only for a limited time so you have to play again or run quickly across. It also activates a trampoline like section for you later on in the game.
I really enjoyed this game a lot. It is super relaxing and feels retro while also being very modern. It is one of those games you can chill and play stress free. The colors and sounds are very relaxing to me as well. I had very little issues with this game. The jumps might be a little iffy at times when trying to get a perfect run, but I'm sure that will be ironed out with an update later on. Same with not being able to complete one of the Achievements. I talked to the Devs and a update is coming for that as well. It is a very fun game to achievement and trophy run on as well. Most of them are pretty simple, and fun to get. I only need one for a complete game, and that is the glitched one. I got them all on my first play through. I really think every one should give this game a go. It's really full of replay value, and relaxing good times. Like I said earlier it is great for spending time with the family with as well. Check it out let us know what you thought about it.

Pros: Relaxing Music and Game play
    Colorful vibrant world
    Delightful characters
Tons of replays and items to find

Cons: Jumping can be iffy on the owls at times.

Overall: 7.2 Excellent game to chill alone or with the family with. A relaxing threat free experience that provides hours of stress free gaming enjoyment.

Got this game in a bundle and I really came in expecting nothing. After finishing the game in a little bit more than 3 hours, I must say it was a quite enjoyable experience. This is basically a cute, easy and accessible platformer where you go bringing back colour to the environment. There is no depth of gameplay or anything particularly novel, simply a very relax and colourful atmosphere.Got this game in a bundle and I really came in expecting nothing. Levels get quite vertical over time, allowing jumping and flying on long distances and enjoying the view.

The story is completely useless and told through a series of fixed panels, so nothing to see there. The only negative point that I noted is the lack of controller support (in spite of what is claimed on the shop page). The only way I found to play with my Xbox 360 controller is to map my keyboard keys to my controller buttons using the Steam interface. And the commands of the keyboard cannot be set, either.
