NeverEnd (2006)

Neverend could have been a decent game, graphics aside, since graphics aren’t that important in a RPG. The story (which in this case isn’t bad at all) and the game mechanics are more important, but the latter are destroyed by bugs, too many random encounters, lack of a mini-map and an odd magic system.

NeverEnd may not be a computer virus, but that’s about the best thing that can be said about it. Avoid it at any price.

Boring, difficult (due to poor design) and repetitive.

The game is an unmitigated mess of technical issues and features sewn together like Frankenstein, and about as appealing as the sum of its miss-matched parts.

Unless you're looking for some laughs or a trip down memory lane, stay far, far away from this one.

Easily the worst game I have played all year.

The game compass is left in a flat spin, giving Neverend zero direction, feeble magnetism, and a dreary sense of purpose. You're after an unnamed treasure, alongside an uncaring cast, equipped with only a comatose sense of adventure. Even considering its gaming-on-a-budget price point, purchasing this title will only give you a never ending spasm of Buyer's Remorse.

The game reminded me of a graphic animated adventure, had arena-style, turn-based combat, and an interesting exploration system.

The graphics hold the game back as most PC RPG's are better looking.
