Nov 27, 201330 FPS LOLOLOL FIX GAME PLS
This is that big game companies ACTUALY gets to do this and earn a lot of cash doing it! It makes okay sense with frame locks and simple options on console, but this is just sad. -

Nov 25, 2013Awful console port. The last Most Wanted was at least a little bit bearable, are they even trying anymore? Hopefully Assetto Corsa or Project Cars will save this genre.

Nov 24, 2013I saw someone list this, and it appears to work, so you can try this and see if it runs at 60fps while playing at a normal speed. -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60.0

Nov 24, 2013Don't buy this game, it's capped at 30fps. A good PC can do so much more, EA don't deserve any sales when they disrespect PC gamers like this.
Seems like it could be a decent game, it's just a shame that EAs attitude towards PC is so bad. -
Nov 24, 2013This is the worst console to PC port I've ever encountered. I thought SimCity was an embarrassment for EA, this game is even worse! Thank gawd for EA refunds.
-
Nov 24, 2013Another fail from EA...dont buy their games.
**** graphics, i cant believe that this is frostbyte 3
**** control and car physics
Only one good thing in this game soundtrack. -
Nov 24, 201330 fps max on a 2013 PC game is unacceptable. If you unlock it to 60 fps, the game is unplayable. This is ridiculous. Played the very first NFS games, this is a big disappointment.
-
Nov 24, 2013FPS capped to 30. I won't even bother playing this piece of crap.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -
Nov 23, 201330fps for PC is a joke, 30fps for PC is a joke, 30fps for PC is a joke, 30fps for PC is a joke, 30fps for PC is a joke, 30fps for PC is a joke, 30fps for PC is a joke

Nov 23, 2013So...SOOOO tired of this social seamless crap, where are the days where you could customize you car completely ...speakers... suspension jumping up and down...sigh, and the NIGHT races....aw well... and yes this 30fps thing is not nice, I usually don't care for fps but in a racing game its necessary
-
Nov 23, 2013Great game.
Play it on a console if you can, because it's capped at 30 fps. In my opinion, that's the only thing holding it back from being the best PC racing game to come out in years. Gameplay is incredibly addictive, story is okay and could be better, cops are aggressively fun, cars rule. -

Nov 23, 2013Racing games aren't exactly a complex genre, but any company that isn't even competent enough to properly implement a pause menu shouldn't be trying to make one.
-
Nov 23, 201330 fps lock year 2013? And how hard would it be to fix so we could use a fu**ing mouse in the game. I'm sick of EA treating PC-players like crap.
Do not buy this game! -
Nov 23, 2013Okay, the game is capped at 30fps. So what? On top settings, low settings, I cannot see how it would be better at 60fps. Its fast, responsive, looks amazing, and is one of the most satisfying racing games I have ever played.
My only gripe is that there are only 6 human people on a map at a time.
The game is NOT broken. It is being broken by people trying to run the game at 60fps. -

Nov 23, 201330 fps capped of laziness. The game is basically the countryside version of the previous one. Graphics are OK and it's just it. Game modes are boring, and the fact there are no tracks makes it even worst.
-
Nov 23, 2013Beautiful graphics, boring gameplay...
FPS CAPPED TO 30 on PC...
Just don't buy this game as it is not worth it. A typical console port blablablabla.... -
Nov 23, 2013DO NOT BUY THIS ****
This game does not support any driving-wheels. I lost my 20$ on this I will never buy again your driving NFS seria. POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE HERE. It is EA marketing. -

Nov 21, 2013Hard Capped 30 FPS, 30. PC gamers invest tons of money into their Gaming machines to achieve the highest FPS they could and you cap your game at 30.
I not sure if the game it self is any "fun" but its not worth the time and money which is apparent after 5 minuets of gameplay.
I think TotalBiscuit said it best "Avoid like the plague" -

Nov 21, 2013Boring game with thousand of bugs, useless engine (for racing games), minimum innovations and max. 30 fps. The only good thing is Graphics. This game looks nice and cars look just fantastic! Anyway, good graphics is not important if gameplay sucks. Do not buy if you already own good old Undercover, Most Wanted (good old version, not the new and other NFS games.
-
Nov 21, 2013Amazing graphics and very easy to use interface. No sluggishness. The game looks and feels awesome. The roads are made somehow so that my car crashes very less times.
Although cars fly sometimes that looks amusing. 10/10. Love it. -

-
Nov 21, 2013Capping the framerate to 30fps on PC is beyond ridiculous! The whole point of a racing game like NFS is playing it at ultra smooth framerates. Once again PC gamers are being neglected with this pathetic console port. So until EA fixes this my rating will stay 0...

Nov 20, 2013DISGUSTING!
hard coded to 30 fps, game runs double speed if changed to 60 fps.
the 10/10 reviews are FAKE! DO NOT BUY!
it is obvious they did not spend anytime developing the PC version. -

-
Nov 20, 2013The PC version. graphically is very disappointing low resolution textures, a lot of aliasing (saws everywhere), poor lighting, very few configuration options ...
This does not look like a "NextGen" game.. I think EA has sabotaged the PC version in favor of the new consoles if this is true EA really is the Cancer of this industry... -
Nov 20, 2013Dont buy this game. Its an insult to gamers and its not a real next gen game. 30 fps lock and awful performance in towns sections. Terribly bad port just like always, EA does not take PC seriously.
-
Nov 20, 2013This game is so dumbed down I can't believe I spent $60 on this awful game. The game is the same thing over and over again. All you do is chase or run away over and over, awful.

Nov 20, 2013The game itself would deserve a 5 or 6 if I could play it more than 15 minutes without feeling literally sick.
What the hell was on EA mind? This is not an rpg or a puzzle game which can run at 30 fps flawlessly. This is a racing game, and racing games are supposed to be FAST.
Also, no AA settings, no mouse control in game, no cut-scenes skip..
Just another horrible porting -

Nov 19, 2013It is not a big difference between this game and smartphone games. Worth max 5$ in my opinion 30fps is a sad joke.
Pros:
you will see now who write reviews for money -

Nov 19, 2013I had to create an account just to say this is absolute rubbish. The game has been dumbed down to console pleb level. This game is broken beyond play ability. The worst NFS game I've ever tried to play and I played Carbon... What does that tell you?
Stay away. If you're curious play on a friends machine and be disappointed for yourself. Save the cash. -
Nov 19, 2013
-
Nov 19, 2013No, This game is broken! Capped FPS IS ****....30! NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A MODERN GAME. AND WHEN YOU UNCAP IT THE GAME GOES Poor AI Car Speed, Poor UI. We have to go through 10 to 15 minutes of cutscenes before we start playing. This game is a disgrace and just plain broken, take it down from the Origin store now!

Nov 19, 2013Apart from a new map and ferrari it's basically the same game as the previous one...nothing new, nothing we haven't seen before...the 30 fps cap with blurry graphics, ugly colors ,lack of AA, no option to skip cutscenes and repetitive gameplay this game is a poor excuse of a PC title....not worth it.
-
Nov 19, 2013This game is utter ****
The game is hard-coded to 30 FPS, the graphics are poor, the game is riddled with cut-scenes you have to watch over and over again, and you can't even skip them, avoid at all cost, until these problems are solved. -
Nov 19, 2013
-
Nov 19, 2013DO NOT BUY!
This game is broken on launch for PC. Capped FPS is 30, if you unlock via console the game speeds up based on the increase.
i.e. 60hz 2x the speed. Poor UI design, unskippable cut-scenes, a disgrace and a disaster. The reviews for this game are FAKE! -

Nov 19, 2013One of the best NFS release after the most wanted 2005 version. Playing everything on ultra with my hd 7870 :D looks beautiful. No bugs and smooth gameplay :P
-
Nov 19, 2013This installment of Need for Speed is exactly what you are looking for if you are a fan of the franchise. It stays true and consistent with its dynamic gameplay seen in preceding NFS games while delivering a surprisingly interesting backstory of racers and cops. If you enjoyed Most Wanted (by Criterion), this game is a worthy successor and definitely a must for fans of racing games.

PC GamerJan 31, 2014One good idea--the racer's scoring system--spoiled by a thuddingly dull cop campaign and dumb design decisions. [March 2014, p.68]
-
CD-ActionJan 10, 2014EA managed to end the bad run of Need for Speeds released in odd years. But even if it’s the best NFA in a long time, it could have been better. Rivals looks and plays really good but it could use a properly working multiplayer or a real single player mode. And if you remember Most Wanted, Rivals looks quite familiar. [01/2014, p.38]

Games Master UKDec 19, 2013A scintillating return to form that's all style...and no little substance. Blistering arcade racing. [Jan 2014, p.76]
