    I play NFS since High Stakes 1999. A year from the year the game got worse.
    Useless and boring story, terrible car control, stupid AI.
    Making such game in 2017 is shameful.

    So no driving wheel in a driving game. Great. Just great. You upgrade your cars with... cards. CARDS!? WTF!? This isn't Hearthstone, this is Need For Speed('s corpse). Rubberbanding - terrible, just nonsensical to the point of getting ridiculous. Every cool action, every ump, every stunt the game takes control away from you and does by itself hence killing any    Holy **** this is bad...

So you can't leave the road for a second as the game, instead of allowing you to correct yourself just restarts you back on the road in a manner of seconds. Every race seems the same. The story is boring and filled with cliches. Bad acting, as always in Need For Speed. Can't destroy any cars. No damage model. Everything is checkpoint race. Even running from cops. You can lose the cops but if you omit checkpoints, oh boy, you are busted.

    Вот и до nfs добрались микротранзакции, лутбоксы и прочая ересь... Что за жалкая попытка совместить гоночную аркаду и карточную стратегию? Ты покупаешь машину и еще пол часа дрочишь в рулетку, чтобы выбить нормальною карточку для тюннинга. Игра проходится буквально за 5-6 часов, а сюжет банальный и забывается через неделю...     First of all: the controls. More specifically, the controls in menus. There are no cursor in any menus. Where a cursor is needed, such as while browsing the map, it is not controlled by the mouse. No, the cursor in this game is controlled with the arrow keys. Yes, EA couldn't be bothered to properly port this to PC and add mouse support, instead you have to control your cursor with your arrow keys. Totally unacceptable and one of the reasons I find myself playing this game a lot less than I would have wanted.

    Another extremely stupid decision on EAs part is the car upgrade system. Let's say you want to upgrade the turbocharger of your car. In a good racing game, you would save up money and purchase a new turbocharger. But this is not a good racing game. Here, you have to go to a slot machine and hope you get the turbocharger you want. Yes, you gamble for parts in this game. Exclusively. You can't just buy whatever part you want, even if you're the richest man on Earth. Furthermore, even if you get a turbocharger, more often than not you get one without a bonus to speed or acceleration. Instead, you get a bonus to jump distance or brake efficiency. Yes, if you change your turbocharger in this game, you might get better brakes instead of better acceleration. It's completely illogical. Change exhaust, get better N2O. Change engine block, get longer jump distances when driving over a jump. Makes ZERO sense. Not only that, the car part cards you unlock are locked to whatever vehicle you were driving when using the slot machine. Got a card you might not want to put in your current car? Tough luck, you can't put it on ANY other car, not even of the same brand and model.

    And let's not even get started on the so called "story". Such an uninspiring, boring and predictable story isn't even worth telling. They should have cut it completely and just lined up races one after another without story interruptions. The characters are all, without exception, extremely cringeworthy. I literally cringe whenever I hear dialogue in this game. That's how bad it is. Who wrote the characters and dialogue in this game? A teenage intern? I'm sure one of those could have done a better job anyway.

    Lastly, let's talk about micro-transactions. Of course EA had to force them into this **** game as well. I hope no-one is stupid enough to buy them. In the end, I ended up downloading a mod that unlocked the items you could only get through micro-transactions instead, like vanity items.

    All in all, this amounts to a very disappointing and, quite frankly, horrible experience. I don't know what EA had in mind when they made this game, but it sure wasn't the player experience. Maybe there are cash whales out there who spend a lot of money on **** like this, and those are the people EA aimed for with this garbage.

    Avoid this game, it's a complete waste of your money and time. Don't even buy it during sales, because you will end up regretting it regardless.    … Expand

Upgrade shops have endless supplies of expensive trash cards that are only rarely any good. In NFS Payback if you buy a car with Level 3 stock cards the best you can buy is LvL 5 performance card if you get lucky. You have to grind races to get better cards for free to be able to buy or win better cards from the slot machine. It is insulting. What makes it worse is the slot machine abusive tactics will most likely bring in enough money from the so called whales that we will not see good NFS ever again.
    The visual customization is great, graphics are also great but that is to be expected from game as this. The plot is well it is good enough to keep you going despite sometimes cringeworthy dialog. It is competently made videogame brought down by greed of the EA. If you want to play good racing game with online free roam lots of cars shiny graphics and gread driving model get Forza Horizon 3. No cop chase though but Payback cop chases do not count they are just time attack races with people trying to crash in to you.    … Expand

    OMG! That is the last drop from EA. Total sh!t. They left nfs 2015 half-dead, now they made this grind-simulator. Along with a new Battlefront this is a total disaster. From now on I won't buy any EA game and I will agitate all my friends not to support EA.

Та-же история с карточками вместо тюнинга мощности авто, которые естественно можно выбить из лутбоксов за реал мани, аЭто шедевр, засунуть внешний тюнинг авто в никому не нужные побочные гонки, которые явно слизаны с другой игры, и я думаю многие даже поняли какой (The Crew), только там они имеют действительно побочный характер и не несут ответственности за открытие тюнинга или стайлинга.     I'm completely disappointed in progression system. Once i got first challenges with racing gangs I was pushed to replay older missions to get some money to get at least necessary upgrades. Or, of course, there was another way: to pay real money in the fullpriced game to get... money in the game. That is freakingly bad and I will try to refund the game.

    I remember when Need For Speed was an awesome game, it was my favourite game on the Panasonic 3DO. Fast forward 20 years later and we have this. Game looks awesome, shame they forgot why the Need For Speed games were fun in the first place. EA please stop ruining gaming with your (at the moment) legalised game gambling systems.

    I wish if I can rate it minus 10... Don't buy EA games... There's no support in Battlefield 1 also not in this or any other EA games... The controls is terrible and game play is very poor... If you haven't buy it yet then skip it...

As far as racing goes, another flaw in this entry is the obtrusive arches and directional arrows which completely break the immersion in an otherwise beautifully rendered open world. Not only is the rubber banding so awful it's almost funny, but AI cars can speed around corners without braking or sliding. This isn't too bad in most events, as, while they may cheat, they're also exceptionally dumb, but in the (mandatory) off-road events, this problem reduces the game to aA decent game utterly destroyed by the fact that the AI play by different rules than the player. Not only is the rubber banding so awful it's almost funny, but AI cars can speed around corners without braking or sliding. This isn't too bad in most events, as, while they may cheat, they're also exceptionally dumb, but in the (mandatory) off-road events, this problem reduces the game to a matter of frustration and dumb luck. There is nothing that makes me want to rage-quit more than needing to stomp on the brake to get around a corner without hurtling off the road, only to watch the entire AI pack pass me by whipping around the corner at full speed. Avoid at all costs. Buy Forza Horizon 3 for a similar, and better, experience.… Expand

    After 1 hour spent in Need for Speed payback, I realized that this is one of the worst racing games that I played. In this game, absolutely everything is terrible, from trashy graphics to uncomfortable main menus, I not recommend this part of NFS.

At least there are lots of other racing games out there, that don't work like this, including older NFSUnfortunately.     We are approaching 2018 and it is not tolerable that I'm not able to play 4K with a 4000 euros PC.
    I have a GTX980 Ti SLI, a 5930K six cores 40 lanes CPU, everything overclocked.

    Me molesto mucho la situacion de las SPEEDCARDS ya que considero son una forma de arruinar el juego debido a que tu progreso no se basa en tu habilidad al volante sino en que cartas tienes equipadas, Muy mal EA otro juego mas arruinado por la avaricia de una compañia

    Dont own the game, but making a statement on EA's microtransaction and card malpractices, buying a AAA title does not warrant me having to double up to get all the content. so instead of a 60$ game its a 120$ game

    Lootboxes, speed cards, no car parts, stupid kids who go "FULL NOS MODE" in multiplayer and ram you until you crash and get on the last place, repetitive story. EA. Do i need to say more? I'm still playing the game despite all of this **** but if you wanna buy it.. just don't. Save your money for another game

    I've playing NFS since Underground 2 that was a good game.....contrarily to this garbage....It dont don't know where to begin...if with the performance issues in PC, for real sometimes the textures take a while to load in-game using an SSD.     Seriously, don't waste your money on this, the singleplayer is okay (very short) and the multiplayer, oh boy, might actually be the worst game I've ever played, the online playlists require NO skill at all, it's basically who ever gets f*cked with the least.

It seriously makes me wonder if any one involved in this game has ever driven a car or even sat in one in real life. It is truly that bad.

    This game is a bad copy of the Crew and the Forza Horizon. Terrible car physics, bad music (most songs are hip-hop trash), no cockpit camera, the script is boring and repetitive (go there, do that), you upgrade the cars with cards! Another cheap trash game from EA, that costs you a lot of money. I won't buy anything from that company again...

    As polícias não andam livremente na cidade como nos outros jogos, nesse vc tem que ir em algum evento ou pegar uma caxa-isca para começar a perseguição. O pior de tudo no caso das polícias é que quando vc está chegando no local para escapar delas os policiais sempre andam bem devagar para te deixar fugir, elas não ficam mais te perseguindo como antes até que vc consiga despistar.
    A    As polícias não andam livremente na cidade como nos outros jogos, nesse vc tem que ir em algum evento ou pegar uma caxa-isca para começar a perseguição. O pior de tudo no caso das polícias é que quando vc está chegando no local para escapar delas os policiais sempre andam bem devagar para te deixar fugir, elas não ficam mais te perseguindo como antes até que vc consiga despistar.
    A história é chata e nada envolvente.Os carros só são liberados para compra quando vc progride na campanha.    … Expand

    Worst game NFS is sinking graphics polygon quality a great downgrade to previous one lesser no. of cars. No dynamic weather at all. The world is very small compared to the crew. Bizzare storyline.
    physics are ok. Poor level of optimization. no support for Xbox one x impulse trigger vibration on PC.

Я считаю что это лишнее, добавлять какие-то классы, игрок сам разберется нужны ему классы или нет. или это небось добавили чтоб побольше донатили на карточки. и 3 персонажей, типа как в гта5, это гонки, тут гг-игрок. в underground, mostwanted, carbon, nfs2015 герои обращались к игроку. игрок был в роли гг. для меня это важно. физику сделали намного поще чем в нфс2015 и проще не в смысле что машиной стало легче управлять а в том что она теперь как для дурачков, хочешь повернуть в право, нажми конопку право, неважно что ты несешься под 200. полицаи, в этой игре ультра бешеные. ты угнал тачку или ящик, так за тобой выехало пол участка, они врезаются в тебя, присуют, обгоняют. хотя ты едешь на тюнингованом спорткаре, а они на фордах. скорость под 200, ты выжимаешь закись азота, еще более ускоряешься, а ментам все-равно они тебя обгоняют и зажимают в коробочку. нет не заграждений, не вертолета который был в трейлере. отрыв от погони происходит когда ты доезжаешь до гаража в аэропорту в пустыне. полиция резко теряет тебя из виду. но до этого они спавнились перд тобой. это можно было реализовать куда лучше. это ультра глупо, так делать в 2017году. сюжет тут еще короче чем в 2015, его я умудрился пройти менее чем за сутки. могли тупо добавить больше гонок у группировок. проходишь 4-5 гонки и типа все. мне мало хочу больше. сложность в игре простая, я играл на сложной сложности, обгонял всех и ехал всю гонку в одиночестве. единственное что круто, так это что можно поставить рекорд на трассе, и пытаться побить, рекорд другого игрока. в игре присутствуют машины босов которые можно угнать. так как надо отрываться от погони. после удачного побега. машину можно модифицировать карточками. но нельзя перекрасить или заменить какую либо деталь. это также ультра тупо. я как будто взял машину покататься. вообщем эта игра явный признак деградации.… Expand

    What a waist of time and money. Worst framerate rate ever, lots of stuttering with gtx 1080ti.
    Almost unplayable.
    Don't support microtransactions - do not buy this game.
    If you haven't buy it yet then skip it

Но здесь же рельсовые гонки, какие к черту карточки, они (специально) усложняют прохождение, затягивая его, я прст сюжет хочу пройти и скинуть.
    Русская озвучка - мрак, как всегда (особенно у EA), эй! товарищ! да-да - вы, что озвучивали негра! Пренепременнейше попробуйте себя в немом кино 20х-30х: там такие аццкие переигрыши очень нужны, глаза только погуще накрасьте.    … Expand

    The graphics are pretty good, the models of the cars look nice, the open world is also exciting for some hours. The storyline is average, it's not very gripping and of course it's predictable. Haven't listened to the soundtrack, maybe the tracks were not catchy enough for me.

    Than comes the tuning. Awful. Loot boxes and microtransactions should be enough for you to hate EA. The same was done with Star Wars: Battlefront II, thank god they had to delete the loot boxes for some time.     O mundo é morto, e isso me levanta uma questão bem simples: Pra que OpenWorld se é pra fazer uma cagada dessas? Não há razoes para explorar, além do cenario ser monotono e indiverso.

    Os graficos são mediocres pra baixo. NFS 2015 no console era mais bonito que esse jogo no ultra no PC. E o pior, já não bastaste isso, o jogo é EXTREAMENTE mal otimizado. Mesmo diminuindo o jogo pro alto, haviam diversas quedas de fps. Isso é inadmissível. Minha maquina roda Forza Horizon 4 no ultra em 2.5k +60 com uma boa sobra. Falando em Forza, é de uma cara de pau tremneda que a EA tenha coragem de lancar esse jogo no mercado tendo em vista que há o proprio Forza - que compete com si proprio, inclusive.    … Expand

Теперь прокачка машин осуществляется карточками с разными уровнями и бонусами, система очень средняя. Вот вам для гонки нужен 335 уровень а вы уже 345, но все равно другие гонщики будут вас обгонять им на это просто насрать. Также в игре недоступен сталинг он открывается только после выполнения каких либо задач например набрать скорость 289 и проехать в течении 3 секунд как по мне это тупо. Еще есть машины реликвии не понимаю зачем они нужны потому что их сначала надо найти а потом они по характеристикам хуже даже самой дешёвой машины с автосалона.     Ich weis gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll, bei meinem Unverständnis gegenüber EA und deren Studios, dass sie nicht in der Lage sind auch nur ein gescheites NFS raus zu bringen, oder dem Spiel selbst welches ich als Billig Trash bezeichnen würde.

    Ich spare mir die Mühe einen ausführlichen Test zu schreiben. Rate aber jedem davon ab, das Spiel für zu viel Geld zu kaufen.     - 0815 irgend eine komische Sinnfreie Story
    - Haufen Bugs, die nie behoben werden

    ALL THE CUTSCENES ARE UNSKIPPABLE! ALL OF THEM!!! If you have to restart a few times a round, you waste 15 seconds each time through the cutscenes and cringy dialogs, and selecting or not the "extra bonus". Why not always enable that and call it a day?

    Almost all dialogs are cringy, expecially mac's and pretty much all of enemy gangs'.

    I play NFS since High Stakes 1999. A year from the year the game got worse.
    Useless and boring story, terrible car control, stupid AI.
    Making such game in 2017 is shameful.

    Fabuła fatalna, styl gry fatalny. Kupiłem ją myśląc że będzie jak Need For Speed Most Wanted z 2005 ale to było nie do zniesienia. Popełniłem błąd kupując tą grę. 2/10

    дизайн локации очень красивый кроме пустыни, сюжет игры очень прикольный, 2 бала за почти не проходимые гонки в виде rally и плохой физике респавна машины эти два фактора очень портят игру.

    NFS: Payback is full of defects, such as the boring story, highly repetitive missions, useless open world design, and annoying microtransactions. However, it is not terrible enough to get a fail score. This game contains exaggerated and cool controls, exhilarating car chasing, and fascinating background music. If you also enjoy the passionate scenes of the Fast & Furious movie series just like I do, I think you will love this game anyway.

    The new game from the Need for Speed series does not respect your time at all. You should pay it back the same and don´t lose any moment with it. Unprepared and unbalanced free to play mechanics with a strong gambling part destroy otherwise quite usable and somewhat entertaining, though not very interesting arcade.
