Nascar Heat 4 is good step up from the rest of the series. They change the graphic engine, they did a bit better with control and the career was finally taken seriously. I really like how they approach the career mode. You can finally start the career where you want (Dirt, truck or the Xfinity). You can manage and level up your team and cars. You manage sponsors too and contracts. ReallyNascar Heat 4 is good step up from the rest of the series. Really nice stuff and not too complicated. The graphics got better. The cars are really nicer now. The tracks are a mix bag. I still think the draw distance is way too near and there are some fps concern. The sounds are great. I wouldn't put movies under the main UI. It slow everything down in my opinion. The AI is fun but easy is way too easy. And I would have prefer a % settings then an easy-normal-hard choices. I still don't understand why they hide the garage settings from the lower difficulties. Never made any sens to me. At least give us something basic at easy and add more after. But no, they stick with that ridiculous choice. Control with controllers are difficult to achieve. I give it 75%. Not perfect but it deserve some respects. Expand

With the schedule offering an increasing amount of cookie cutter speedways, and the premier NASCAR Cup series opting for a high downforce package and a reduction in horsepower, from a video game standpoint this results in cars that aren't all that fun to drive - as they practically drive themselves. With the entire point of the game being to drive these cars in race after race, season after season, it's not something that is bound to hold a lot of people's interest. 704 have done a great job replicating the actual series as it stands in 2019, but the problem here is that modern NASCAR isn't exactly captivating. The game does little to excite you about NASCAR, and instead confirms what they naysayers have been saying all along: the sport is dying. Expand

This game is epic. From dirt track advancing to proper racing. Having a character and building him up through races and relationships and teams - it's great. This game should be more popular than it is, lack of its popularity is most likely due to declining popularity in the sport itself.

I've never been to an actual Nascar race and haven't watched more than a few laps since I was a kid

I've never been to an actual Nascar race and haven't watched more than a few laps since I was a kid and ultra bored on a Sunday.. For what its worth I find F1 racing even more boring..

This game is up there with Beam NG and Wreckfest with more story line and longer play-ability.

In my opinion this game is developed for players with a steering wheel.
I am used to play with a controller and I do not want to buy a steering wheel just for one game.
So if you are a big nascar-steering wheel-fan it is just fine, but for a casual player like me: no good.
