Nancy Drew fans will NOT be disappointed in this latest installment.
-
The puzzles could have been more challenging, and having some of them as stand-alone games would have been nice, but the overall game is engaging and well-designed.
-
The White Wolf of Icicle Creek is a better and longer game than either of the last two Nancy Drew titles and is probably worth getting if you enjoyed the other games in the series.
-
The end result of The White Wolf of Icicle Creek, then, is another solid and safe, if certainly predictable, Nancy Drew adventure.
-
It's a solid adventure and it's well put together, but like many of Nancy's recent adventures The White Wolf of Icicle Creek errs on the side of games/activities with correspondingly less exploration and sleuthing. This balance was much better in the earlier games and it would be good to see Nancy doing some more serious sleuthing in the future.
-
Hardcore GamerDespite its minor disappointments, I enjoyed White Wolf a lot, and it's clear that the developers at Her Interactive really know how to integrate story and gameplay and create a smooth production. [Sept 2007, p.63]
-
Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek is an intriguing adventure game for the younger audience. The story may not be the most riveting for the older audience, but the puzzles and mini-games that are bundled in this game are fun nonetheless.
-
Even though it is unlikely to appease veterans for very long, Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek is a more than serviceable adventure/mystery game.
-
It’s easy to make fun of a game series entirely focused at hitting the seemingly elusive teen and pre-teen girl demographic, yet games like Nancy Drew: the White Wolf of Icicle Creek pull most of the right strings.
