Dec 15, 2010Even though there's almost a complete lack of strategy required to race, some wonky visuals on the console editions, and a conspicuous lack of split-screen play, I can still offer a pretty hearty recommendation for nail'd.
-
Jan 12, 2011The problem is that the more you play it the more you realise just how slight and limited it is as an experience. The tracks are pleasingly long, but once you've got them figured out they don't represent anything of a challenge.
-
Dec 20, 2010It's so fast and crazy, every fan of action racing games will love it. At least for a few hours, because then you've done everything and there's nothing left to motivate the player. Still great for a little fun in between.
-
PC GamerJan 7, 2011For over-the-top(literally) off-road racing action, Nail'd delivers on multiple fronts--just as long as you remember to keep your dirt racer in the air as much as possible. [Feb 2011, p.81]
-
Jan 1, 2011Being limited to single-player, nail'd doesn't stand chances for a long stint on your PC, but it has an adrenaline filled offer.
-
Dec 17, 2010Nail'd is a good arcade racer that will have you doing crazy stunts and going way too fast.
-
PC Games (Russia)Mar 21, 2011Don't take nail'd too seriously, there is no depth in it. Just some unsophisticated, adrenaline-charged fun. [Feb 2011, p.98]
-
Feb 21, 2011Listen to punk rock music, get the tunnel vision, jump, drift and hit your opponents! nail'd would be a perfect racing game, if there weren't the repeating tracks, the so called huge motor pool and the missing long-term motivation.
-
Jan 12, 2011The game is very easy, and won't take you very long to whiz through.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 15, 2011Racing in nail'd is entertaining for half-an-hour because of the feeling of speed and fierce competition. If you want to play longer, you need to look for another game. [Issue#199]
-
Dec 23, 2010Nail'd impresses in its opening moments and is fun to hop into for a quick burst, but once you've seen a few of the sights you're left with a game that struggles to excite where it really matters.
-
Feb 2, 2011Unfortunately Nail'd's core gameplay doesn't do quite enough to justify stripping back all of those extraneous details. It's a game that's begging for a little more refinement, visual polish and structural content; and without those in place it struggles to elevate itself above the frustrations inherent in its erratic engine and course design.
-
Dec 19, 2010In a strange way, I respect the intent behind a game like Nail'd, and I don't generally like tearing down the hard work of a smaller publisher. Unfortunately, shallow gameplay, a myriad of glitches, boring and repetitive objectives, a non-existent online community, average at best graphics all conspire to make Nail'd a game destined to be forgotten in the bargain bin of your local games store.
