The charming Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island is a low-challenge but extremely addictive fetch quest and collectible-gathering Elysium filled with fun cartoony Greek gods to make friends with along the way.

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island is an engaging and hugely enjoyable follow up to Röki. The characters you meet throughout allow you to discover the gods of Greek mythology in fun, unique ways, and there's plenty to discover as you explore this mysterious island. Mythwrecked comes highly recommended.

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island has some interesting ideas, but may be a bit too slow for some players.

Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island offers a heartfelt and companionable experience that puts the focus on friendship, memory and community. It’s a charming adventure, and a perfect island-based break from the cold winter and its charmless blockbusters.

Mythwrecked presents an original take on the Greek pantheon that turns them into likeable, relatable people with grounded issues, and a very solid gameplay loop that makes the entire thing go down smoothly. Unfortunately, it's hampered by a lack of narrative emphasis and a main character that doesn't get much of her own development.

The problem that remains, however, is its lack of anything profound to say, as it tees up complex topics before leaning towards comfortable answers. [Issue#406, p.120]

The story and characters lack meaningful depth.

Even if the versions of Zeus, Hera, and Ares are a lot more pleasant here than they are in, say, God of War, there’s not really anything about that – or this game – that makes Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island worth recommending.

A gentle cadence and quirky characters can't counter Mythwrecked's repetitiveness, making this more Greek tragedy than odyssey.
