    It's a beautiful pittoresque game, but neither its target audience nor its purpose is very clear. It's so simple structured it would pass as a children's educational game but after all it's not even a challenge for children. It looks like some multi cultural manifesto located in 1990's Berlin and telling a story of the 1930ies (Klezmer-like music playing in the background). Game controls are weird and often do what you didn't mean to. As a history lesson, the game fails, but can be understood as a metaphor.     A beautiful little story about the real events of World War 2 but told in a way to make it more Parable so it's not so sad that you cannot continue.

    It is generally a beautiful game in the beginning. I was not sure if this was an analogy for what was happening or if it was just the second world war but then I realized that we were in Warsaw and then it all went down from there in    A beautiful little story about the real events of World War 2 but told in a way to make it more Parable so it's not so sad that you cannot continue.

    The graphics looks really good. They have a really cute way of drawing it and I like the color and energy that they use in weight this just a really nicely drawn game to music it also find and the puzzles are I had to use a walkthrough some times because I could not figure out because I have soap for a brain, but it was a fun game from beginning to the last and my god. I was sad in the last moments.    … Expand

    In general - this is a game about how two children survived during the Second World War, while helping the "guerrilla movement". A pleasant graphic style, a strong atmosphere, conveyed in an unusual, generally good way (making the fascists soulless robots and draw the game with their appearance, activity and environment mechanical, rude, cold as metal, dipping in a black and whiteIn general - this is a game about how two children survived during the Second World War, while helping the "guerrilla movement". A pleasant graphic style, a strong atmosphere, conveyed in an unusual, generally good way (making the fascists soulless robots and draw the game with their appearance, activity and environment mechanical, rude, cold as metal, dipping in a black and white palette). But the authors went too far with this. As with some other elements. Most of the robots throughout the game behave corny stupid, doing foolish things for the sake of player's walk-through, and stupidly twitching and chuckling as they are some "broken toasters". And the general picture of the war looks like a sterile drawing of a child for other children (Apparently, they wanted to show that this is how the grandfather tells the child a story without violence. But this does not work here, the story of horror and war in this game looks more fun than scary, except for a couple of atmospheric moments, and that's all). I didn’t like the strict convention of the game-play in terms of riddles and necessary sequential actions (No, there were riddles that were interesting, but most of the ’activities were illogical, or corny “random not random at the right time”). A labyrinth in 40 seconds for achievement and, of course, THE FISH are totally something crazy: The whole game is played in an average temp, and only at the very end - the wild leap of difficulty with this two things.

    Annoying, by the way, is that for so much time and tons of promises, the authors have not fixed the problem with the game-pad. And as I saw in the complaints, this problem was not only I had, but it has been ignored for a long time.

    In general, I liked the game, but the authors didn’t need to twist the "war without war and without violence" much, and they had to solve the problem with the game-pad for a long time. Because it was announced, and because it wasn’t very comfortable playing on the "keyboard mouse mode" ... and because in the moments of some chasing, switching between characters not on the game-pad IS A PAIN.    … Expand

    I've received this game for free on GOG.com and finished it there, then decided to buy it on Steam to support the developer... Yeah, this fact only could say something about the game.

    First of all, I have to say that My Memory of Us is incredibly important game for me as a Polish. It depicts what is perhaps the most tragic event in the history of Poland - and does it in artistic, subtle    I've received this game for free on GOG.com and finished it there, then decided to buy it on Steam to support the developer... Yeah, this fact only could say something about the game.

    First of all, I have to say that My Memory of Us is incredibly important game for me as a Polish. It depicts what is perhaps the most tragic event in the history of Poland - and does it in artistic, subtle manner. No propaganda here, only cruel world seen by the eyes of kids - and described with the voice of sir Patrick Stewart (yup, THIS Patrick Stewart).

    Beside that, it's a solid puzzle-platformer, with delightful graphics and clever level design. It's very much like Valiant Hearts - not so polished and perhaps shorter (it can be completed in 4-5 hours), but worth playing just the same.    … Expand

    It’s a shame that a game with such distinct visuals and narration voiced by Patrick Stewart ended up as just a bland, short adventure. [13/2018, p.64]

    Sending the player to the heart of the horrors of World War II inside Warsaw Ghetto, My Memories of Us uses the conflict to tell a beautiful story of childhood friendship, telling this part of history through their own eyes. With its classic mechanics and some inaccurate collisions, Juggler's game still have a certain charm thanks to its beautiful artistic direction and soundtrack.

    It can be hard to recommend sidescrolling platform-puzzlers these days with the sheer number of fantastic ones hitting the market every single year for quite some time now, but My Memory of Us is worth your time. With a unique atmosphere, well-told story, quality visuals and voice acting, and a run time short enough to make it perfect for a weekend finish, I think just about everyone will find [their time] and money well spent.
