As a former Lemmings player I expected this game to be good. It was very good value for money. Combining Lemmings with Tetris and putting that concept into perspective really does make it a great looking puzzler. The Graphics are great, tutorials are easy to follow, and sharp controls. The Learning curve isn't too steep; it is just right.

I particularly love the level editor. It's very easy to create levels and certainly a fun idea to experiment with different elements. Very easy and fun to experiment with, and you can be as ambitious or as simplistic as you want. You can choose one of four backgrounds (which also affect the look of the terrain) and how long you want your level to be.

The only downfalls are that you can't create high levels and that there is no multiplayer whatsoever. Despite that however I believe this is overall a solid puzzler that's worth a try.

I had been looking for something like Lemmings, which I have hugely-positive nostalgia-feelings about, and one of my friends recommended I check this one out. I'm so glad I did! The art style has a lot of the charm of the original Lemmings, and the gameplay is interesting and progressively challenging. In short, it's a delightful time-waster!

Has Mousecraft succeeded with the bold idea to combine seemingly incompatible puzzle genres as Lemmings and Tetris? There are many positives on the game - original idea that works, adding new features as the player progresses through the game, good level design, gradually increasing learning curve, challenging yet not frustrating difficulty, user friendly interface and controls and beautiful graphics. I have not found many downsides there - dull story, rather generic music and absence of some form of local multiplayer. Thanks to its easy accessibility, non-violent character, short levels and good puzzle design Mousecraft is definitely the kind of game suitable for family playing.

    Pros:
    - original and working idea
    - continuously adding new features
    - level design
    - gradually increasing learning curve
    - difficulty
    - interface and controls
    - graphics

    Cons:
    - story
    - music
    - no local multiplayer

I like the developers that have enough courage to experiment with genres and combine them into something new that seemingly cannot work. Crunching Koalas have done the great job this time and realized one of such ideas almost flawlessly. I am therefore giving Mousecraft Thumbs Up and VideoGaming Father’s Index 8+ out of 10 - recommended!

Mousecraft is the lovechild of Tetris and Lemmings, although it's nowhere near as addicting. It's a creative idea, with fun mechanics, and well worth a try, but the difficulty goes up and down too rapidly, because the game introduces new mechanics a bit too often.

MouseCraft is a puzzle game “like they used to make”, without portal guns and time manipulation. Its only downside is a badly-designed UI.

It's smart, it's humorous and the only thing it really lacks is a unique charm. Its replayability is a great boon, though. [Issue#244]
