MikeG.Feb 22, 2002This game would be mediocre, but an awesome music track, multi-layer competitive gameplay, and reasonable-good graphics raise this collection of 1s and 0s above the standard Tycoon game. Well done, Infogrames.

Dec 21, 2015Can't figure out why this game isn't more popular. Sure it is rough around the edges, but it is very deep for its simplicity. The game is also ahead of its time graphically, even if it looks ugly by today's standards. If you are a fan of the simulation genre, I can not recommend this game enough, even with its steep learning curve.

Every one of the revolutionary changes has been carefully calculated to walk the fine line between serious sim and nostalgic trip back to childhood...we have to give Monopoly Tycoon a full recommendation.

The proof of the pudding is in the tasting and this is a toothsome treat.

Deep Red took their time and reinvented both the "Sim City" model, the Monopoly board game, and created something that's bold, new, and still reminiscent of both sources.
