If you're setting up a night to play with friends, then Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains will be a very memorable experience, with only some potential to end all relationships. Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is a fantastic version of Monopoly that switches up the tried and true formula for something experimental and new. Aside from some balance issues, the game has something for fans of the series to enjoy, and non-fans can still get a kick out of conquering the galaxy. With some fun visuals and a lot of unique rules, Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains will be a great time with friends online or in person, provided you don't break anything when Count Dooku sends you to jail.

A clever twist breathes new life into two saturated franchises proving there’s still plenty of innovative fun to be had on a Monopoly board, but only if you’re okay with change.

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs Villains gives homage to the Star Wars franchise through a modified version of Monopoly. While it does a good job keeping the game balanced, regardless of which side you’re on, it eventually becomes repetitive, and accessing the menus can feel tedious at times. Such a shame that not many TV shows get the spotlight, but considering how well-known the films are, it makes sense. This game is good for Star Wars fans, but not so much for Monopoly fans, due to the rule changes. Otherwise, just buy the regular board game.

The digital version of the Monopoly board game, featuring characters and locations from the Star Wars universe, is here. And it’s quite boring. While the atmosphere of the popular sci-fi universe is excellent, the gameplay is very limited. You’ll mostly just be watching and waiting for your turn.
