Dec 27, 2010kdyz jsem videl prvni video, rekl jsem si wow tohle bude neco. A takyze je. Mirror´s Edge me nezklamala jak hratelnosti/grafikou tak desigenem levelu.

Sep 13, 2013One of the most unique and intriguing games I have played in my lifetime. I truly think that the critics have underscored with this one. I am so looking forward to the sequal!

Oct 7, 2011I truly enjoyed the game, one of the best I've played so far. A player needs to master controls but after that it goes smoothly. Thank you for this gem!

Sep 17, 2011Good game, typical EA **** Game has massive drm and requires internet connection to play, so once again publishers **** over a unique and well executed game.

ComradeSvMar 16, 2009A perfect game! Awesome graphics (and FPS), cool setting with a design I never seen before in any other game, nice theme music and a average storyline. I was simply unable to stop playing this game till I seen last lane of titles. Sadly it took only one day, but still - game is awesome. Sadly no MP or user-friendly SDK to create own levels. As for online trials - there is alot of cheaters there.

Oct 14, 2011I wish I would have found this one sooner. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The art style is very unique and beautiful. The gameplay is challenging and sometimes frustrating, but overall very fun.

Apr 30, 2011Fun, innovative game. Creative design. Campaign is short however and fairly easy. The occasional gun play is disappointing and unfortunately unavoidable.

Oct 20, 2011It's a glorified tech demo. It has it's charms but in the end it feels like an unfinished, unpolished product. It has some great part and ideas which it delivers in a way that could be fun and exciting, but it also contain elements that is so poorly executed that it's almost insulting(fighting and shooting mainly)

Dec 30, 2011The game is far too short and there are issues everywhere, such as dim enemies, control issues and the drabness of the setting. However, the core gameplay does work most of the time. The whole idea does make sense. A sequel should be made because somewhere in this idea, there is a great game to be made.

Jul 16, 2014I don't get the appeal of this game. I can see that it's relatively well made, but it's just not fun. For a running game, the running speed is very slow and almost feels like walking. It's not fast-paced at all. The controls are mediocre at best and the save points are horribly placed. Way too often, you have to try and die to find the right way and it becomes boring incredibly fast.

PaulAJan 21, 2009This was a really exciting game at first until I realised that there is no depth to the gameplay all you do is climb stuff over and over and over and over and over again to get to the next area. The combat system could barely be used..... waste of money imho.

May 12, 2013This game is hard even on easy and insanely frustrating particularly chapter 8. You will die a lot. Fortunately the game is short. On the positive side I liked the music.

Mar 3, 2011One of the worst games I have ever played.
The combat is sticky and messy, it doesn't know whether to dump retaliation or go with it. YOU HAVE TO PICK ONE!
You can't see your feet, making it hard to judge jump's.
The character's aren't at all likeable
And the plot is full of holes.
Stay away from this one. -

JamesMJan 15, 2009This game was a 9, at least, when I first started playing it, but once the swat team showed up on the 2nd level, the game became so choppy that it was unplayable. That is unacceptable considering I have a 1 GB Geforce 9600 and 4 Gigs of Ram.

TamirFDec 11, 2009LIke others said, nothing but running around, jump, and killing some guards. a short game, no multiplayer, and its not worth the 20$. I had some fun moments, thats why its a 2 and not a 0

KenVetoJan 28, 2009This would be a great game for a 15 yr old boy high on crack! I'm in my 50's. I could not play the game very successfully. There are no hints and I got stuck on the first assignment out of training and could not complete it. Also, there is no way to save one's progress, so one has to duplicate moves over and over until one gets past a certain point.

-
Nov 4, 2010A fun, but short game. The campaign is alright, and can be completed twice. Time trial is just some worthless crap which makes you spend 3 hours perfecting a 50 second run. The custom maps are fun, but there are far from enough of them. In the end you'll get ~10 hours of fun from this game, don't expect anymore.

Nov 15, 2013Mirror's Edge is definitely a production different from any a game combining FPP with platform game. Visual style and design environment has been well-designed. The overall gameplay is good but combat system should be better. Playing the story mode enough for about 8 hours.
-
Nov 28, 2015I can imagine what kind of great ideas led to the production of this game, but the finished product is dull and frustrating. Good idea, bad execution. It was fun for just a couple of hours.
-
Mar 11, 2015Mirror's Edge is generally unpolished with temperamental controls, inconsistent use of runner-vision, Merc's often crucial audio being drowned out by combat, bright colours being used for both guidance and decoration which often left me confused as to where to go and what to do. The game should have been cut in half if not more with a much greater emphasis on 'flow' and retailed for $20.

Jan 2, 2021This game is overrated. It had a lot of potential but ended being just an interesting game with a bad disgn and a patethic plot. I don't regret buy it for 2$, but I don't think is worth any more than that with the kind of game you can spend your time on 2021.

Oct 16, 2022Totally outdated, Impossible to play on PC, full of bugs, it crashed my PC. I'm sorry but this didn't looked bad and it was decent probably more like a 5-6 but due to the tecnical problems I give it a 0
All the good reviews are from 2009, I suppose that for the time it was good, it has aged like milk. -

AnonymousMCJan 20, 2009The game was quite fun, my only complaint is that the game is incredibly short. I managed to tear through the game in about 7 hours. While for the most part the graphics were visual amazing. At times though there are certain areas where the area is completely whited out and looking super sterile.

[anonymous]Dec 19, 2009This game is undeniably cool and really original. The graphics are also great. But it suffers from one thing; short amount of gameplay and really bad replay value. I think this should be played because it's something you want to have experienced and it's brought the platform genre to a whole new level.

JamesTaylorJan 18, 2009The game is a lot of fun. It is too short by far, the story line is terrible and the constant dying can get aggravating. However the game is really innovative and is great to see under this mesh of very similar first person games. Its also nice to see a fps using movement and hand to hand combat rather than just shooting to defeat foes.
I really enjoyed it and hope there is another. -

Oct 11, 2010Very fun game and if you keep an eye for it on steam you can actually luck out and grab it for a bargain price. Definitely a beautiful game, specially if you have a PC that can run it on maxed settings.

Jan 12, 2013It's an original game; but running around, jumping over roofs, and disarming enemies just isn't my cup of tea - i find the gameplay boring, despite a descent story.
-
Sep 10, 2021By far one of the most amazing games I've played. Admittedly, it was quite a bit short, but perhaps that's just myself yearning for more time to play it. The graphics are drop-dead gorgeous and run ridiculously quickly even on the highest setting.
-
Sep 27, 2019best parkoer freestlye game after tony hawx to date. story is good. graphcs simplcty but amazing looking. it have chance to beat assassins creed climbg if mr 2 was contune to more freestlye and better looging game.
-
Apr 27, 2014FPS games are the most realistic. Mirror's Edge shouldn't be better in 3rd Person Shooter. It's a fantastic game, and it feels really great, but it becomes quite boring after about 2 hours of gameplay.

Aug 18, 2013Really clean, slick and beautiful design is flawed deeply by a rather uninteresting story and a game filled with annoyances. As much as it is fun to perform really slick continuous flow of parkour, the disappointment of this game comes when you aren't. Filled with confusing paths and annoying cops, this game pulls some if not chunks or hair from your scalp. Great idea, poorly executed.

Mastering the game's in-body platforming is an urgent thrill, beaten down less violently here under the auspices of our old friends keyboard and mouse, and stands out from the homogenised interfaces of modern first-person and platform games.
-
The beautiful visuals look even better on the PC and the controls are smart and responsive. There are some flaws, though, in particular the short play time, some stiff level design and the overall potential for frustration. But if you manage to go with the flow, you will find Mirror's Edge to be a thrilling and unique gaming experience.
-
While its elegant controls, visuals and audio weave a dreamlike tapestry that its animated cut-scenes do their best to eat away at, the whole is an experience you'd be remiss to let fly by if you missed it on consoles.
