    A friend recommended the game to me, said it was FTP on the Xbox game pass, so what did i have to lose? He already told me that there was a massive download (92gb) for the game, so that didn't bother me that much. So i went to my closet of nerdy gaming gear, and found my Seitek x52 pro HOTAS. You know, a critically acclaimed piece of hardware used to play specifically these kinds of games.A friend recommended the game to me, said it was FTP on the Xbox game pass, so what did i have to lose? He already told me that there was a massive download (92gb) for the game, so that didn't bother me that much. So i went to my closet of nerdy gaming gear, and found my Seitek x52 pro HOTAS. You know, a critically acclaimed piece of hardware used to play specifically these kinds of games.

    So, the download crashed twice, and there was a bit of bother with getting it to actually finish, but it got there in the end, and hey! the game is B-E-A-utiful! Since i haven't played flight simulator for quite some years, i thought i'd give ye old "learn to fly" a try. Shouldn't be a problem... Right?

    Well. First off, it turned out that there was no default setup for my HOTAS. You know, the one that is literally critically acclaimed and used by thousands of flight simulator players around the world, because it only has a few short comings. But hey, it's a new game, it might be a little buggy, so lets just get that out of the way, and play the game.

    So i went online, not on bing, but google, and found a solution to my problem. Turns out it works if you disconnect the HOTAS, launch the game, and then connect it. So that's what i did, and then i wen't flying. For all of 10 minutes before it started turning my Throttle off randomly. I thought "that was weird" and continued playing, having it happen several times.

    a little later, it happened while i was on the ground. So there was no way to just crash the plain, and restart the mission. Now i was stuck there, because the issue that disabled my throttle, also disabled my keyboard. So now i was stuck in a game, where i couldn't do anything and couldn't exit because it disabled everything control device on my computer, except my mouse.

    EVEN THEN! i thought, hey I'd just restart, new. game. buggy. It happens. Except! It switch my monitors, continuesly disabled my keyboard, even through a forced restart of my computer.

    So, even though i really tried to look past all the bugs, the game is currently in a terribly buggy state, that can effect the rest of your computer, so if you have an x52 pro, which is where i think the bug arised, then for the love of all that is holy, don't play the game with it, it took me the better part of 2 hours to get my keyboard working again, and it's currently 5:32am.

    So, TL:DR QA should have used a bit longer on this product, and you might get to suffer for their lack of diligence.    … Expand

    All of these things are more or less indeed quite good, however this simulator is bugged as hell.     I have been playing the game for a month, i found a lot of glitches an bugs. Is a bad simulator. And maps arr not realistic at all. So good trying

    TL;DR: Final verdict: Do not buy as of now. Not even you have a beefy computer since the sim is pretty f**ked up right now.

    It's the sim fun? Yes. It's the sim's graphicly stunning? Yes! It the sim really true2life? I would say 99%!!! But are you able to actually enjoy all of this?     Nah that's not Microsoft and Asobo's first priority. They are too busy making a industry claimed best flight simulator for all the media and youtubers show it off and don't have the time to care about us little peasants are able to actually play it or now. Why do I say that? Here's why:

    I have a decent desktop PC so the performance issue is fine on my end.
    But ever since the launch I'm experiencing server issues where I can't select any servers cuz they're not there on the server list and the game stuck on Automatic server and can't actually assign me into one. I can't see any live flights and/or other real players in the world map. I can only see my friends so I thought "Ok let's multiplayer then". But when I enter the actual game world, I can't see anyone! Not even my in game friends which appears on my world map!
    I've submitted a ticket on Zendesk which is their "supporting" site since the day of launch. But did I got a reply?
    Nope! 4 days and not a single word from their supporting team lol

    That's the major issue that I've been facing lately but that's not the ONLY issue I've encountered since launch.
    The world map's filter keep at a really weird configuration where I can't see any airports. I stuck at reset it into default every time I enter the world map.
    The manual cache page keeps at a whopping 500ms frame time so I can't select any region to cache.
    The game will crash if you have any usb devices plug in or pull out.
    And on and on and on......

    I currently have 3 tickets opened at Zendesk and I don't expect them to reply me anytime soon cuz I don't think they really care about minor bugs and issues since there are soooo many ppl aren't able to even enter the game. I won't refund it cuz it really got potential but I also won't change my score even if Microsoft and Asobo fixed these issues since this is the most disastrous launch I've ever experienced since Forza Horizon 3 Windows 10 Launch lol (Remember THAT Microsoft??)    … Expand

    It is amazing and realistic. Graphics are superb, but you will need a powerful gpu, clearlly more on the simulator side than a game, and therefore not for everyone

    Microsoft DID NOT add them in the world map thought they add many details & location in Vietnam. But still, the names & locations of our islands, NONE OF THEME EXIST in MFS’ map!
    What a shame to DENY our sovereignty! Hope this is just a mistake and Microsoft would add them as soon as posible!    Vietnam OWNS Truong Sa & Hoang Sa

    Perhaps the game is good, but I can't download it. The developers should fix it, but I don't recommend buying it yet.

    El juego es tremendo despliegue grafico, pero eso si pesa bastante siendo un juego sencillo de simulación de vuelos, aunque mas bien deberian agregar mas cosas como objetivos a cumplir o mas aeropuertos.

    Rapidement, le jeu est superbe, c'est du Microsoft flight simulator donc il n'y a rien à redire, de la pure simulation au service des amateurs d'aviation. Cependant, j'ai eu énormément de problèmes à l'installation, j'ai dû réinstaller le jeu plusieurs fois car il était impossible à lancer, ne possédant pas la fibre, j'ai du attendre 3 jours avant d'y jouer. Mais cela n'est pas tout, uneRapidement, le jeu est superbe, c'est du Microsoft flight simulator donc il n'y a rien à redire, de la pure simulation au service des amateurs d'aviation. Le jeu à d'énormes chutes d'fps, que ce soit ingame ou dans les menus, cela est très frustrant sachant que mon pc est configuré comme suit : I7, RTX2060, 16 GB RAM, qualité graphique haute.
    J'espère qu'Asobo vont fixer les différents problèmes, et j'en suis persuadé.
    Je changerai ma note une fois que mon jeu sera stable et jouable de façon optimale.

    Ständige Abstürze des Spiels sei es im Download oder im Spiel selbst, meine Tastatur Funktioniert auch nicht mehr im Spiel, das Spiel ist zu dem auch schlecht Optimiert.

    It doesn't even start despite several attempts to reinstall the game, it only freezes before reaching the main menu. A complete desaster for such a highly anticipated and promoted game and a shame for Microsoft

Also for all the potential steam users thinking of buying this disgusting cash grab, just know that they have an "anti" refund policy which includes downloading a 500MB launcher on steam which you are supposed to download the game in, and bear in mind this download is counted as playtime which means no refund for you buddy, though there is a way to refund this garbage and it is making a support ticket with steam and explaining the situation and they will be glad to give your money back to you and if all else fails then just do a Paypal chargeback or credit card chargeback :)… Expand

    Was widely looking forward to this game, but biggest PC gaming disappointment of the year so far fore me. Release seems to have been rushed in order to take advantage of the spike in video game sales during covid-19, and/or with misleading system requirements. Game hard crashes my PC almost every single time that I play it, almost always on the pre-flight loading screen.

    Originally purchased the game on Steam, got a refund after multiple crashes, then got it on Xbox Game Pass but still have the same problem. The installer for this is terrible, I might add. I have tried all recommended troubleshooting options; I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times (which takes minimum 3 hours each time). I have turned off all background applications, updated my GPU driver, updated Windows, updated the Microsoft Store app, uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Visual C++, performed Cleanboot, turned off antivirus and firewall, and disabled all third-party applications. I have installed the game on a SSD. I have an overlocked Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, and 16GB of RAM, but I'm unable to play this game even on LOW-END settings without it crashing. If I turn off online functionality, the graphics look worse than a Nintendo 64 game, and it still crashes sometimes. I definitely would not recommend, unless you're looking for hours of aggravation, OR if you insist on trying your luck, wait until several patches have been released.

    [To Microsoft and Asobo Studios]: Please don't list a GTX 970 as fulfilling your official "recommended" system requirements, only to release a game that apparently can only run if you have two SLI-compatible GeForce 2080tis on your rig. Thanks.    … Expand

There is NO online play as advertised AT ALL, there aren't even any servers listed when you first sign into the game! 'Live' weather just makes all the weather blank every part of the world, and clicking 'live traffic' causesIgnore the shills giving this a 10.     Установил пресет на минимальное качество графики, все равно вылетает при подлету к Парижу. Кароче заебало - удаляю к хуям. Может попробую установить после нового года. Еще хотел в стиме купить это сырое гавно. Уже передумал.
    Криворуки дебилам что делали этот продукт надо по голове дать. Играть невозможно.    Установил пресет на минимальное качество графики, все равно вылетает при подлету к Парижу.     Graphics are magnificent and thats the only good point of the game released in its alpha to public.

    It’s not just a game, it’s a phenomenon. It lets you explore literally the whole planet – cities, mountains, lakes, rivers, even my house was there – from the cockpits of 20-30 (depends on the version of the game) airplanes. Flying experiences are also great and vary from machine to machine. I’m sure I’ll be returning to MFS for years to come. [11/2020, p.38]

    When all is said and done, Microsoft Flight Simulator in its current state reminds me a lot of Sea of Thieves shortly after launch. The game has a lot of promise and a lot of potential, but it is marred by a number of issues that keep it from really shining. Once the issues have been worked out in six months or a year from now, I fully expect Microsoft Flight Simulator to be a must-have title. Right now, unless you are a hardcore flight sim fanatic, I would pass on buying the premium version and just stick to playing the basic version that's included with GamePass.
