    Awesome DLC!
    It is 6h long if you explore everything (and it's worth it)
    New collectables! (Love the songs that you can play on your mandolin) . Very good writing: There is no good or bad ending as both can be morally good! It really puts you in the position of ACTUALLY deciding what "is the cost of sacrifice" you are willing to pay to "achieve your goal". Very very good DLC! Really    Awesome DLC!

    The story line and gameplay was amazing buy this game i was genuinly attached to the characters best game to come out in 2019

    I was really excited to play this DLC, however the bugs, the lack of polish and the cliche of a story ruined it completely.
    The bugs were more jarring than anything - texture pop in, character disappearing, graphical glitches, animation glitches....the team didn't polish this at all. On multiple occasions characters just walked into a wall and disappeared. Blurry textures everywhere,    I was really excited to play this DLC, however the bugs, the lack of polish and the cliche of a story ruined it completely.
    The bugs were more jarring than anything - texture pop in, character disappearing, graphical glitches, animation glitches....the team didn't polish this at all. On multiple occasions characters just walked into a wall and disappeared. Blurry textures everywhere, animations that do not connect with what the character is trying to do..A lot and I mean, a lot of invisible walls, character gets stuck on little sticks, unable to move, can't climb simple obstacles.

    Story is just meh, I really expected more but this DLC was a let down.    … Expand

    Sam's story seems amazing...if it's the first of a series of episodes featuring Sam's journey from Vladivostock to Los Angeles.
    The setting is very akin to Volga and Taiga, to which the first is not my favourite level and the second, whilst very interesting, was very linear by comparison. The swamp/flooded parts of the map are the worst experience, luckily the motorboat makes driving    Sam's story seems amazing...if it's the first of a series of episodes featuring Sam's journey from Vladivostock to Los Angeles.

    Main questline feels very cheesy, and speaking of which seems to entirely dominate the game experience, whereas in the base game, the larger maps and open-world nature allowed you to scout out areas for goodies and upgrades. This would have been possible had the travelling part of the map was either water based (which in practicality limited the open world concept) and the few ground travelling was entire linear, and often scripted as well!
    I really wish 4A games makes some more DLC campaigns for Sam, he can travel north to find an ice crossing, bringing back an open-world winter/snow map that follows a story where he obtains passage to an ice crossing in Kamchatka; there he can cross the frozen sea and make stops at the islands for some side missions. A third chapter has him traversing down Alaska and Canada, where American, Canadian and others (including Russians) survivors can be encountered as enemies or friends. And of course mutated Alaskan wildlife battling non-mutated animals.
    Anyways enough rambling; Sam's Story is so-so, I just wish it was the beginning of a series of DLC chapters featuring Sam.    … Expand

    This DLC is a disaster in my opinion. I'm a big Metro fan, the original Exodus was a masterpiece, but Sam's story DLC is an unfinished game in which i found around 5 bugs in a 2 hour gameplay, one of them was game breaking.
    I don't recommend it to anyone.

    Bland map, awful boss fights, and a boring linear story ruin the great gameplay of Metro Exodus which makes for an average DLC.

    This dlc feels like next chapter for main game, its 6 hours long and still has same great quality! It's not rushed like many other videogame dlc. I absolutely loved story and gameplay just like main game. can't wait for metro 2036!

    Really great DLC. Autumn in Vladivostok, great light, falling leaves, very nice.
    Interesting story, live-like persons, actors voices, animation of NPCs, gameplay.

    The game is full of bugs and performance issues. I had massive fps drops in 1440p playing on ultra and texture problems. (spec - 2080ti, 3700x, 16gig 3200mhz and ssd.) The story is mediocre, and a world is just empty. I'm a metro fan, loved the games and the Two Colonels DLC. This is a bit of a let down

    Looks like this DLC is made by some drunken Metro fans. Original Metro: Exodus was a brilliant game. Sam's Story isn't. Its totally broken technically, its boring, acting is terrible. It just doesn't feel like Metro anymore.

    Отличное дополнение. Особенно порадовала новая локация, которая чуть ли не красивее чем все остальные что были в оригинальной игре.

    I`ve really liked this dlc, much more compared to the Two Colonels. New area is fairly big and interesting to explore plus it offers around 10 hours of gameplay if you explore.

    Good DLC, but not top quality one like original game. Location and gameplay is really very linear. Main game vibe was shifted to having FUN in apocalyptic world instead of survival horror dread and suspense of original game.

    Ну, в принципе очень неплохое DLC, по своим масштабам - как отдельная глава (в отличие от тех же двух полковников), со своей локацией, персонажами, основными и побочными квестами, оружием и т.д. Мне лично очень понравилось, неожиданно было посетить и узнать подробности о жизни самого восточного русского города из вселенной "Metro". Минус балл, тем не менее, за плохую оптимизацию и скучныеНу, в принципе очень неплохое DLC, по своим масштабам - как отдельная глава (в отличие от тех же двух полковников), со своей локацией, персонажами, основными и побочными квестами, оружием и т.д. Мне лично очень понравилось, неожиданно было посетить и узнать подробности о жизни самого восточного русского города из вселенной "Metro".     The idea to show how a foreigner is trying to find his way home and make a bias a little more into an action was not bad... to approach the subject from different genre sides. But during this path the game very often stumbled on its shortcomings, which blurred the impression on this DLC.

    1) If in the main game there was the illusion of an open world, which consisted of only two relatively small and almost empty zones, then in this DLC there was only one zone, and even it was only an illusion of the illusion of an open world, since all the surrounding spaces of the city were closed with some rubbish there, with some trees here. Which, by the way, cannot be avoided... 2020. Trees and bushes.
    2) The whole mechanics of the game is made excessively crooked and antediluvian: plants sway through textures, characters read a document without even opening it, non-existent glass crunches under the feet, the loot sensor works according to it's own mood(Sometimes it reacts, sometimes it's silent. Almost half a game), a throwing knife kills by hitting the hand, it is impossible to get into the half-open sewer hatch, in which the loot is visible. NPC's still talk overly emotionally. Overplay, as we could say about the actors of some film.
    I liked it generally, but due to all these flaws, which would be forgivable to the old game, and not for a game from 2020, I cannot rate it highly. So, just normal rating. And yes, the most negative thing privately for me: I hate such things that was in the last cut-scene with fighting - one of the most disgusting clichés in books and films about enemies... , this did not spoil my impression at the end, because after this cliché the story ended adequately.    … Expand

    Oh ... you immediately feel a change in mentality. The supplement came out, action-packed, sometimes fascinating, sometimes backward (from the heart), but in general a weak narrative, starting from the same Artyom and Khlebnikov. And yes, poorly optimized. Sam's story I recommend, but be prepared for jambs.

    I didn't expect this DLC to be that good. It's a really long DLC, it attracts your attention, keeps you intrigued, and has everything that we love Metro franchize for. I'm gonna miss this franchise. Can't wait for the next game. This episode is an excellent finale to this third installment.

    It's as bad as Metro Exodus.

    The previous Metro games were better. This one has so many poorly designed/unpolished/flawed, and unenjoyable things. I played the previous games multiple times, but I would not want to play this again.

    Это дополнение такое клёвое как и основная игра. Круто что раскрыли Сэма он хоть не молчит как Артём. Добавили 2 боссов и моторные лодки на которых можно ездить. 2 новых оружия новый автомат с зажигательными патронами и пистолет кольт. А пьянка с Капитаном лучшее что есть в этой игре, напомнило Ведьмак 3.Это дополнение такое клёвое как и основная игра. Круто что раскрыли Сэма он хоть не молчит как Артём.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Сэм пытается попасть домой. Опять полуоткрытый мир и две концовки. Радует, что для их получения выбор приходится делать только в конце. Невероятно понравился разрушенный и затопленный Владивосток (не потому что он разрушенный и затопленный). На моторной лодке разъезжать тоже веселее, чем грести веслами. Попойка с капитаном позабавила. "Плохая" концовка понравилась больше, чем "хорошая", хотя здесь они почти равнозначны. У Тома акцент такой же "реалистичный", как у Гюль. Предательство Клима предсказуемо=тупо. В одной из концовок непонятно, как Сэм выжил после ранения. И наконец перейду к самому взбесившему моменту. Как и на локации с пиратами в основной игре, я надолго застрял - на локации с бандитами. Снайпер выцеливает, враги наступают, спрятаться почти негде и ОЧЕНЬ ДАЛЕКОЕ СОХРАНЕНИЕ. Я перезапускался МНОГОКРАТНО. Как мне только терпения хватило пройти... Ах да, при первом прохождении у меня в самом конце не было возможности сделать выбор, перезагрузки не помогли, пришлось ВСЕГО ЛИШЬ заново проходить ВСЁ дополнение. Вот что действительно было унижением. Квест с командой капитана даже слегка тронул.… Expand
