-
Mar 4, 2011This is one of the most immersive and fun strategy experiences around, so dig in.
-
Apr 18, 2011This is a superb game, despite the saturation of the genre and the overexploitation of the setting, thanks to is great freedom, objetive design and visual realism.
-

-

-
PC PowerPlayApr 18, 2011Difficult to get into and somewhat unintuitive, but so wonderfully tactical and complicated! [May 2011, p.74]
-
Apr 7, 2011At its best, Men Of War: Assault Squad provides hours of tactical chin-stroking, some stonkingly memorable engagements, and a whole kit-bag of replayability, especially in co-op.
-
Apr 7, 2011A modern vision of chess game, Assault Squad offers a micro strategic vision of war, giving the possibility to control a little party of soldiers up to the victory.
-
Mar 31, 2011The new expansion for Men of War, issued as a stand-alone product, allows us to take part in skirmishes set in World War II. Its control focuses on infantry units and remains flexible and fluid, while improvements in artificial intelligence provide a valuable tactical product. One of the best options nowadays, whether this is the first time you approach a game like this or you are already a veteran of the genre.
-
Mar 21, 2011It's old style strategy, unforgiving, hard to learn and harder to master. If this is your kind of stuff, you'll love it.
-
Aug 19, 2011In no way an easy game, and probably an overwhelming experience for most people, but also the closest thing we'll get to the battles of WWII without a time machine.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)May 22, 2011Interesting, although limited development of good RTS towards multiplayer. This game is not a groundbreaker but if you like playing cooperative military action games it has a great potential to entertain you. [Issue#203]
-
May 19, 2011A well rounded multiplayer extension of the classic Men of War formula, hurt most by technical issues and a steep learning curve. Worth a look for fans of the series.
-
May 10, 2011Recommended for RTS fans and those who can accept that the first hours are kind of hard, who will be rewarded with a fun and addictive game.
-
Apr 17, 2011The total effect of the expansion pack is still positive (multiplayer is still fun; even the single-player has its uses) but there are a few worrying signs – the introduction of hero units and special abilities and the inward-looking nature of the entire game (SP as preparation for MP).
-
Mar 7, 2011There's no doubt that the gameplay of Men of War is brilliant, but seeing as Assault Squad is only a multiplayer expansion and features a steep learning curve, it's hard to justify the $35 asking price. Fortunately, those seeking a more campaign-based experience won't have to wait long - a Vietnam-themed title is due to be released shortly.
-
Mar 4, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
-
Mar 17, 2011For as much as I was excited to play Men of War: Assault Squad, I was bitten in the ass by entering with no foreknowledge of the game.
