The real marvel of Mayan Death Robots is that it’s the first game of its type that I don’t feel is an incomplete experience if you don’t have friends to play it with.

With a decent campaign and a two player versus mode, the game has a lot of content to keep coming back to it.

Whatever your reason for buying MDR, be it the wackiness, gameplay, or art, you certainly won’t be disappointed.

We miss some extra and online modes, but if you have friends to play with, Mayan Death Robots is a fun and engaging experience.

The short version: if you liked Worms, definitely check this game out. If you’ve never tried Worms, this is a little bit more accessible. And if you didn’t like Worms, this is unlikely to convert you to the genre.

Fun when played with a friend in your room, but not that great while playing solo. Its lack of online features are what make us think that this game it's not going to be a huge hit.

Mayan Death Robots certainly has its fun moments and there are some good ideas here that make it more than just another artillery game, but the execution is not quite there. Improved controls and a little more meat to the game would go a long way towards making the game more than the niche indie distraction that it is.

The base gameplay in Mayan Death Robots is quite entertaining. I certainly enjoyed the pacing, and could appreciate some of the tactical depth lurking beneath its humorous, brightly coloured surface. But lacking online multiplayer as it does, this is going to come across as a severely limited game to too many people for its own good.

Built for co-op, Mayan Death Robots has a lot to love in its style and humour and will be best appreciated by fans of Team17's Worms series. Overall, however, the game is too bare to provide players with any more than just a few hours of explosive, strategic action.

Despite my enjoyment of the game mechanically, I cannot recommend Mayan Death Robots to anyone looking for a worthwhile single-player experience. For those wanting another entertaining local multiplayer game, however, it provides some unique strategic gameplay. It likely won't keep players enthralled for hours on end, but serves as a great addition to any local-multiplayer library.

Unfortunately, Sileni Studios, in attempting to present something deeper and more original than your run-of-the-mill artillery title, has painted itself into a corner.

A fun game to play on the couch with some friends and some beer! Chaotic, in a good way, lots of fun, full of unexpected events.

Even on your own, the main campaign is loads of fun.

I was really suprised by the quality of this game. Sileni studios is a new and unknown game studio but delivers a high quality game. The storyI was really suprised by the quality of this game. Sileni studios is a new and unknown game studio but delivers a high quality game. The story line keeps you wanting to play more and more. Although it is most fun when playing with a friend, you are still able to play against a decent AI.

In short: A nice balanced game with lots of replay value!

Mayan Death Robots is a wonderful game to play with friends or family, it's a lot of fun and laughing your ass of is pretty much guaranteed!Mayan Death Robots is a wonderful game to play with friends or family, it's a lot of fun and laughing your ass of is pretty much guaranteed! It's a lot of chaos, but in a good and entertaining way.

From time to time you have to bury the hatchet with your opponent to take on the mighty Mayan gods! Who (sometimes literally) really shake up the game! You can also destroy your opponent's core in a lot of different and unique ways, and every robot is unique and has a certain playing style.

The game has a lot of character, the sounds/voices, the Mayans, the annoying Spanish mammals, the game play, graphics and let's not forget about the humor in this game. All the little news reports in the main menu are definitely worth reading! The storyline itself is also really funny.

I'd recommend to play it together with a friend or a family member, this will give you the best experience possible with the game.

TL;DR: Very fun game, definitely recommended and a must have!
